Hello all,
Recently I accidentally deleted the OS on my HTC One and therefore can only boot into recovery mode (twrp) I am on an older version, which seems to be prohibiting me from install any rom. Is it possible to update the twrp recovery in the twrp recovery itself, as my phone can connect to any computer (However it still charges)
P.S
(I would have put this on my old thread, but it wasn't letting me post on there for some reason, although I am new to XDA, so the fault probably lies with me).
Thanks in advance
Atheos.
Boot your phone into the bootloader. You can only flash recoveries from fastboot
Sent from my GT-I9305 using xda app-developers app
Wrong, you can flash recovery from within recovery. Head over to the One Development section, there's a thread for TWRP 2.7.0.4 that includes a flashable zip version you can install from your current recovery. You can sideload it or put it on an external USB drive with USB otg cable.

Possible cm11 without cwm?
Hey guys, I'm wondering if it is possible to just unlock the bootloader and flash cm11 through fastboot as I want my phone to have USB Storage. Staying on stock rom is not an option, so if there is any other way that is easy and does not require internet to place files from my computer onto my phone please enlighten me. Thanks in advance.

you can not flash a custom rom from fastboot, it must be flashed from custom recovery. You can download the rom and put it on your internal storage using adb push, adb sideload or flash directly from a usb drive using a usb-otg cable.
you can find instructions how to flash CM11 on the M7 on the cyanogenmod wiki for the M7

exactly, it might be easier if you don't know how to use adb. but you'll have to purchase a cable. Using adb push isnt really hard.
install your HTC drivers
install the lastest android SDK
flash the recovery using fastboot
push the rom using adb
install the rom using the custom recovery
btw will recommend you to use twrp recovery 2.6.3.3 unless otherwise specified by the dev of the rom.

prerequisites done:
- unlock bootloader (check)
- install SU in my phone (check)
- erase cache (check)
- Flash CWM img recovery (check)

Option #1, It turned out that the 2.7.0.0 version has that bootloop problem and somehow my device can't detect in download mode, only adb connection possible.

The problem is that you used #1 instead of #2. Someone in the AGNi thread also did that and had the sane problem as you, not sure how they fixed it though.
" I can't connect to download mode."
Do you mean that when you are in download mode, Odin does not detect the phone ?
Because if so, then that sounds like a driver issue.

Hello XDA!
My TWRP does not show my USB OTG drive when I want to backup to or try to mount it. In Android and via CWM though, it's shown.
Since I don't like CWM all that much - is there a way to fix this?
Greetings,
Bastian

There was this bug initially in codeworkx's TWRP that OTG was not detected but I think it was fixed in latest build.
Are you on latest build?

Hi bro...I did select enable mtp...But it doesn't detect in PC.please tell me what to do.
When I mount the storage and press ok there is no difference. ( I mean there is no confirmation message that the selected partitions are mounted.
Please tell me the exact steps so that I can verify.
