In lollipop there is an option to cast screen in display settings with wireless display active, I have the m7spr ,in 5.0.2 cm12 it works almost flawless but some lag , I use a Bluetooth controller(Asus gamepad) to play games using miracast, something similar to the nexus player, but during use the Bluetooth stops working ,the controller stays connected but does not allow me to push anything from the control, the only way I have found to make it work is turn the Bluetooth off and on again and reconnect , is there anyway I can fix this as cm12.1 5.1.1 aosp ROMs the miracast is broken and 4.4.4 doesn't support many games ,it has to do with the Bluetooth activity system app as it does sometimes fc , so can anyone help me fix this or a rom that has no problems , and also somehow to improve performance when streaming the screen ,I'm using roku TV with miracast capable ,with 6M internet

Yup its a wide spread issue with 4.2
Modifications to the kernel needs to be done to support the new bt stack, but I think maclaw's team is still focused on fixing or achieving full video acceleration, so we might need to wait a little longer..
You could flash the old rom 2013626 which has the older (4.1.2) kernel where bluetooth works great but wifi drains battery a lot.
Maclaw's makes a release every month or every week ?
I'm having a major problem and I can't seem to figure out the issue :\
I've been using Avia + Chromecast without issue for weeks.
However, recently I'm having an issue where all of the sudden the video playback goes to crap and things start playing at a slideshow rate.
Once things go wrong there is no recovering. If I play the movie on a tablet or my phone it works fine. As soon as I try to cast it through Avia though it takes forever to load and then when it finally does play it's a choppy mess. Restarting the Chromecast has no effect. Restarting the device I was using to cast also has no effect. The network is showing full speed ahead (21 down) and everything plays smoothly on any of the Android devices until I try to cast it.
The only thing that fixes the problem is restarting my router. I don't understand how it could be a router problem though because if that were the case wouldn't the speed drop, and why would everything play smoothly on the individual devices themselves?
I have also tried using AllCast to see if it's an Avia problem but the same thing happens. It'll work great, I stream an entire movie in high and then once I move onto the next piece of media/movie all of the sudden it's like the Chromecast gets confused and that's all she wrote until I restart the router :crying:
I have AT&T Uverse and my connection averages 20+ down.
I have the following devices connected to my network and the problem occurs casting from any of the Android devices eventually:
Computer
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (4.3)
Samsung Galaxy S3 (4.3)
LG G Pad 8.3 (4.2.2)
Google Nexus 7 (2012) (4.4.2)
Motorola Droid X (2.3.4)
Sony Blu-Ray Player
Does anyone have any clue what could be causing the problem?

We do not discuss s***box, but I'll try to address your general network issue.
Sounds like either there's some cascading failure like packet repetition death or throttling.
If your router has any WiFi optimizations like WMM, try toggling that. Also look for QoS (Quality of Service) functions too.

Removed the reference to forbidden app, thanks for the head's up.
I'll check my options to see if any of your suggestions will help. Thanks :good:
Hi there iam trying to use my external USB-DAC (Audioquest Dragonfly) over the USB-OTG Connection and so far i atleast achieved somehow to playback tracks using "USB Audio Player Pro Trial & USB Audio Recorder Pro Trial" but iam facing some serious problems while doing so.
If i activate the lockscreen(pressing powerbutton) to turn the display of, i can't reactivate it anymore, it keeps playing the music but the screen doesn't turn on again.
After 1-2 Minutes it reboots itself without asking for the PIN etc...
Anyone else facing those issues, and is there a possibility to use the external Soundcard without third-party apps?
How about the leaked 4.4 build? I heard USB-Audio is fully functional in 4.4 without third-party apps.
Thank you
So I am running the JPC CM11 and am having an issue with Miracast and Netflix. I have a Netgear PTV3000 and use the stock Castscreen app found in Settings under Display & lights. It connects perfectly, I get smooth screen mirroring, everything works, audio is not lagged. The only issue I have is that Netflix will only cast a black screen with the controls overlayed on top. Its like whatever movie I am playing its just pitch black. Sound works, and I can pause and do whatever. All the other parts of the app work fine. It isn't an issue with video casting as Youtube works perfectly fine. When I was stock this same setup with the LG Miracast app would work fine for Netflix as it would just cast just the movie, no controls but screen mirroring was completely messed up. Just wondering if anybody has run into this on their own or has an idea on how to fix it. Its ruining the use of Miracast for me.
Bump.
Having the exact same issue on my Nexus 6. Rooted, but no custom ROM. Miracast only worked after adding a line to the build.prop. Everything works except Netflix and Hulu.
Please help!
Guys I have a problem with our beloved xperia and I'm posting only now because I am sure now it's actually the phone, not the device (I tried it on an old KitKat Samsung and a nougat moto g... Everything is fine there).
So I have an iPega 9025 bluetooth gamepad which was working all right in my previous Nexus 5.
Here's the problem: FIRST TIME I try to pair the pad everything is fine, gamepad is working as it should be in games, emulators and within the android system. After first use though, if I turn off the gamepad and turn it on again it just doesn't work. I can see the Bluetooth icon in bar system and I see it in Bluetooth settings as Connected, it just does doesn't work.
Before u ask, I already tried going in Scanning settings and play with WiFi Scanning and Bluetooth scanning (on or off) : it doesn't change anything
I also tried in Developer Options in change Bluetooth AVRCP version from 1.6 to 1,4: doesn't change anything.
Bummer, I was planning on heavyly using emulators and games...
Does somebody has my same problem? Or maybe it's just this particular ipega gamepad having some sort of conflict with our xperia? In that case, does somebody is using some other Bluetooth Gamepad and NOT having any problems?
P. S. I'm on last build 47.1.A. 2.374
Nobody...?
