Hello, I am trying to backup game data via Helium app. It will give me an error message saying that the Desktop Backup Password needs to be blank. Normally, the Desktop Backup Password option is under Developer Options, but it is not there on my fire tablet. I am running Rooted stock 5.01.
I also tried Titanium Backup, but it kept saying that I wasn't rooted, even though the app was enabled in SuperSU
Does anyone have any experience with Helium on the Fire Tablet?

I have a rooted, nonDE, vzw Moto X on 4.2.2 with the hotspot entitlement hack enabled. I would like to install the Xposed framework and have been reading up on it. Everything that I have read states the I should make a backup first. I installed online nandroid backup. Upon opening, the app stated that it required busybox to be installed. After failing several times to install BB, I learned that I have to change the /system dir from r/o to r/w. I rebooted into recovery, checked for r/w and attempted to install BB. This time it progressed a little further but still failed. I am clueless at this point. Also, every time I reboot, r/w is enabled. I've since installed es file explorer to switch back to r/o.
Whee did I screw up and how do I fix it?
TIA
Just install GravityBox and stop worrying about the backups.

you have a verizon so locked bootloader so you option for backup are two things
install Safestrap(this is a recovery for locked bootloader) this will allow you to do nandroid backups
or install Titainum backup(this is a app) this will allow you to back up user and system apps
Hello, I'm running the cm12.1 nightly which is up to date, while restoring backed up apps via titanium backup a few 3-4 failed. After finishing the rest I tried to download those apps from the playstore and they failed again. It's not giving any error codes or anything just says "app not installed".
Any thoughts?
I had this happen once before...I think it was "Sky Baron: War of Planes" full version from Amazon (even though other Amazon apps loaded fine, since "Other Sources" was enabled). I still have no idea why it doesn't install...

Steps:
1- install terminal emulator from playstore
2- type su and grant su permission
3- su -shell
4- pm set-install-location 1
5- enjoy
This happened to me as well when I first flashed RR and tried to restore all of my apps through Titanium backup. I think it has something to do with your amazon and Google account, it fails to recognize them and thinks your installing them without either account.
I figured out that its best to just start fresh. The apps you've installed before on any device are tied to your Google account, so you should have no trouble remembering them. Then you can restore the data on Titanium backup if you choose to.
Hello everyone,
I am facing an issue and will be eternally grateful if someone helped me with it. I recently lost some very important audio recordings from my phone. These are very important and I want to run a data recovery tool to help retrieve them but all such tools require root access. I then rooted my phone using magisk and checked the status via those root check apps and they show the status as rooted. However, the problem is that none of the data recovery tools recognize the root and hence cannot run a scan. Perhaps I am overlooking something here. Model of my phone is SM-N920I. I flashed the magisk via twrp and have also installed the Magisk manager. Everything is up to date. Again, when I check the root status of my phone via the app "Root checker basic" it says "Root access is properly installed". Also, when I am using the data recovery tool i.e. Fonelab my phone does not prompt me for root access. Nothing is shown on the screen.
I am sorry if this thread is in the wrong section. Mods can feel free to move it or notify me. Thanks
If other root apps are functioning properly it's an issue with the app you're trying to use. You should contact the developers of the apps in question...
Hi guys,
Maybe you can help me with something. I'm working with a note 8 with the latest LightRom (android 8) from Team Exy Kings, but this is not ROM specific as i've had this issue with most of the ROMs i tried.
I go to the payed version of Titaniul Backup - Batch Actions - Restore missing apps with data, i run it, it shows restoring app ... and this is where it stops at the first one...
I tried App Processing mode - Auto, Idirect, but this did not work for me. USB debugging is checked.
How can i make Titanium Backup restore my apps? I can restore them 1 by 1, if i have like 24 hours, but I payed for the full version.
Can anyone help?
