Reattach back cover. - X 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

If I take off the back cover to replace the battery, can I push the cover back on afterwards?
I saw in the replacement video that it's held in place with adhesive, so maybe is not sticky afterwards. Do I need tape/glue to replace it?

Yes, I saw this. But I was wondering it the back comes loose afterwards.

VOID displayed in window on back of phone?

My phone decided to get stuck vibrating the other night so I pulled the battery out to reset it. When I pulled off the back I noticed a small round window above the camera lense that has "VOID" displayed in it....whats that all about?
Thanks.
There is a screw under there... you would obviously have to puncture or remove the sticker to get to the screw. So if you were to try and take the phone apart it would be pretty evident and I would imagine it voids the warranty.

spring now visible

I opened the phone keyboard, and the one of the springs on the back that helps the screen has appeared. (See pic).
How would you suggest fixing this, it looks like the spring is deformed so, cannot be just pushed back into place. Do I need to dis-assemble the whole phone?
I got the same issue on my wifes phone.
Any ideas?

screen won't turn on

just want to share my experience.
i just found out today my sxl have this screen won't turn on problem and the cause is at the bottom part where you push a click to open the back cover. when i applied pressure on it with the back cover on, the screen hangs but i can still feel the vibration when touching the four 'buttons'.
i don't know if i can fix it by myself as it requires few tiny screws to be opened. so, all of you who owns sxl, be cautious when you open and close the back cover as you can accidentally damage it. time to get s3 or one-x? any suggestions?

[Q] How do you remove the Antenna Cable in the Xperia Z

I've searched for a long while for help with this but I'm giving in now.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/help/how-to-transfer-antennas-one-xperia-z-to-t2807997
This thread explains the problem I'm having but I couldn't follow the solution like the other guy could. In short how do I remove and then refit the antenna cable from my old phone case to the new one? I've managed to remove the black plastic cover over it but it still won't budge and in trying to make it budge I managed to pull of the gold connector from the wire.
Which actually brings me onto two more quick questions. I'm assuming the cable will still be good if I just put the gold connector back on the end? But how would you suggest I do so? Also in taking apart my phone I put a few wholes in the foil on the bottom of the battery whilst trying to leverage it out, is the battery still safe to use? It also has a few scratches/light dents on the side from the same process.

572C - How to open it?

I'd like to see if my battery is just dead or if the tablet is now the issue. I can't seem to find a way to open this sucker up.
Any insight on this? It only seems to divide at the glass and on the back - neither option comes easy to "move".
My advice - don't.
The back is glued into place, and in most cases the issues are with the screen, not with the battery. Does it still get detected when you connect it to a pc? If yes, then it is running, it is just the screen that is dead.
If you really want to ruin your warranty, you can use a plastic tool to unglue the textured back, by starting between the back and the power switch. Get some double sided glue transparent tape, you'll need it later to re-assemble the tablet.
I did get brave and just try to open it with a plastic tool - came off pretty easy actually. Start down near the charger and speaker hole and wiggle your way around the edges. No real glue or anything - just an outside trim and back that comes off and on pretty cleanly. Battery pull and attempt at a charge didn't appear to work but we'll see
