Hi, recently i flashed my C6606 with a C6603 rom. Based on my research, if I flash my C6606 with C6603 firmware, it should change band support too. My country supports LTE band 3 and band 7 but it seems that my xperia Z only supports LTE band 4. Im using firmware C6603 Customized MY now. Is there any problem with my flashing?
Hi, i have almost the same problem as you. I have C6603, but service menu shows me only LTE band 4. So i tried re-flash baseband only. Now service menu shows all standard basebands, BUT i still can´t connect to LTE network (Europe T-Mobile).
Are you tried anything else?

Did you have the TL firmware and then flashed the international version? As far as I remember the.international firmware showed 4G for LTE and H+ for HSPA. The AT&T firmware has the LTE symbol. I think it's a framework that has has to be changed.

I have the SG firmware and I flashed it to global one, before that, it show LTE, now it's 4G... Hmmmm
Using the .434 UK ROM and mine shows LTE
Sorry I thought I was in the T/TL forum when I responded earlier. Too many devices I have the C6602 so no LTE for me.

Hi there guys,
I'm new here and was looking at getting an Sony Xperia TL LT30at from eBay. I have read several threads on installing the LT30p version to this phone. But, the one answer I can't find is will this LT30at to work on the T-Mobile network and also use the LTE band. So to be clear, I want the 3G/4G band (1700/2100) and the LTE band(IV). Can it be done on this phone?? TIA!

ah and i forgot to say this " exclude the baseband when flashing the UK version or lte wont work "
Thanks man. Now, I just have to get the phone! This will be my first modding of a phone.
Ok, got the phone from eBay. Phone is is awesome shape. Did the flash for the UK .140 and it worked perfectly. But, my issue is that when I check my base bands by dialing *#*#7378423#*#* .....I see that I don't have 1700 or 2100. Did I do something wrong? I was thinking should I flash the LT30a file since that has the base bands of 1700 & 2100? (The LT30a phone has the 1700/2100 bands as stated on the white papers)
Thanks
FYI, I did exclude base bands. But, I think it's keeping the AT&T bands and not adding the t-mobile bands of the 1700 and 2100. I do see the LTE IV band for T-mobile.
i don't have UTMS BC4 on my "Working Bands" list.

Your fine, its just the software showing that and ATT does not do that. Also dont flash the LT30a only flash the .140. Keep the baseband from the LT30AT dont flash any Lt30a files
So, will that band magically show up soon or will I have to do something to get it? Thanks

It wont show. It just works.
Try it
I flashed the phone with only the basebands and it worked. I get everything now. That's why I wasn't seeing UTMS - BC4 when I excluded basebands at first.

yes, if you flash with the new software and include the new baseband it will work.the only thing you will have to do is change the network settings via *#*#4636#*#* and look under....Phone information and the change network settings to LTE.

Also change it to lte/gsm/wcdma instead.
Use the APN for T-Mobile here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46422870&postcount=2
In case where your IMEI disappear or becomes 0000000, the above cures it as well. IMEI will show again without further reboot.
I just bought a used Sony Xperia but I am not sure what the phone model is. It is locked to Bell and the model number on the bottom of the phone says C6616 but when I go into the Settings > About, it states that it's a C6603 running on 4.4.2. Does this mean that this phone is originally a C6616 but flashed with a C6603 rom?
Also, I want to use this on Wind Mobile (AWS 1700/2100 network). If I unlock this phone on its current firmware, will it detect the network?
Thanks

Hello All
I am a noob and I have a Xperia™ SP (C5302). I recently rooted my device running firmware 12.1.A.1.205, install CWM Recovery and Unlocked it's bootloader. I ported various roms and enjoyed them all .
Came back to stock rom though because none beats the original
Anyways, I found that it had option for LTE (4G) (Custom Roms). I switched to LTE mode and to my surprise I was receiving signal on that mode too.
I know that hardware of C5302 doesn't support LTE. If this is not possible then how my phone was getting signal and I surfed Internet too!.
Calls were also possible. I live in India and only Airtel here provides LTE Service and I posses a Airtel sim.
So just curious that is it possible to run LTE on my C5302..?
If you guys want any screenshot then please do tell me because I don't know where to start with
Please kill my curiosity
And please also suggest me good boot animations for the device.
Other Newbies, if anyone wants then I can tell how to root your Xperia SP (C5302/C5303/C5306) in just 5 minutes with CWM Recovery Installation and unlocking bootloader. Everything in just 5 minutes
I have a video made step by step guide O
Also rooting of MTK Devices and Allwinner devices and their ROM's with CWM Recovery
My Device
Xperia SP C5302
Stock Rom 4.3 JB
Firmware 12.1.A.205
It doesn't work
Even if it shows you that it works, It doesn't work properly

where do u live and how it is possible
can u help me to get 4g on my xperia sp C5302
It was probably working on 3G, switching to a Custom ROM won't make a phone magically grow an LTE antenna lol
As for bootanimations, I'm currently using this one (white) - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2657843

Dial *#*#7378423#*#* and check if that LTE is supported by your C5302. C5302 board also comes in various band frequencies. My shows I can run 4g ad heck yes I did use 4G
C5302 lacks the support of the LTE frequencies.. It is just impossible for you to have 4G on your C5302 and no matter what it wont work..

You might think it works, but I'm 100% sure it doesn't!
If it did work, why call it a C5302 instead of C5303? Maybe one of those lucky cases?

HI ,
I did what u asked to do.-->> Dial *#*#7378423#*#*
--->> Went to ServiceTests --->> and checked Radio Anteena --->> it had three option , WCDMA,CDMA -HR and "LTE"
Does that mean that my xperia will also support 4G? Currently i do not have a 4G sim inserted yet.
Note : Am still on the factory 4.1 version and have not updated yet
Hi , ok ill get right down to it. I got an Xperia Z not really sure if its a C6603 or a C6606, but according to the IMEI and an internet search it says it the C6606 model. Which is quite strange as I had bought it new online and the seller was advertising it as the C6603 model , it actually had the android 4.3 preinstalled when I got it, in the phone specs it did say C6603 but that didnt match what the IMEI was indicating . Now the issue im having is I wanted to upgrade to the lolipop 5.1.1 , so i tried the sony companion software but it said i already had the newest software which is not true as the newest software is 5.1.1 and im running 4.3. So next i downloaded the 5.1.1 through the flashtool for the C6603 model , the central European version and it works great but just one issue is im not getting any GPS fix nothing , it did work with the older android version , any suggestions ? by the way im still not sure if its a C6606 or a C6603 , IMEI states its a C6606 , but i cannot locate any lolipop 5.1.1 android firmware for it so up till now i tried the C6603 lolipop and get no GPS fix , any help kindly appreciated iv spent 2 days on this dont know what to do .

So just to recap theres 2 issues here :
1) GPS isnt able to get a FIX after the lolipop 5.1.1 update for C6603 wheras it did work on the older 4.3 android.
2) According to the IMEI it says my phone is a C6606 but I havent seen any android lolipop 5.1.1 firmwares for that model.

Alright finally I was able to get it to work. Turns out the metal aluminum bumper case I was using was interfering with the GPS , after taking off the bumper case the GPS runs.
However on thing I still cant get to work correctly is my LTE or 4G , i got a new SIM and it still dont work any suggestions ? I mean the LTE also didnt work with the older android version I ran before. Any ideas ?

You can find the model number at the bottom of the phone, it says made in China C660X and then the IMEI and the production date. If it's a C6606 it only supports LTE Bands 700, 850, 1700 and 2100. I guess your carrier uses a different one. In your case I would return it, as you bought a C6603 and got a C6606

Thanks for the reply , returning it isnt possible. On the back it says C6603 but when I input the IMEI online it says its actually a C6606 which is intended for the US market and im in Central Europe. Could this be affecting my ability to get LTE ? So far iv managed only to get H+ , my carrier told me that im in range of the LTE , LTE is enabled on my account and my SIM is also compatible. So I guess then how can I enter the settings or is there an app which will help me modify the LTE band to suit the one in Europe ?
