I just installed Cassie's Rom, and I think I may have forgotten to add in search from the custom list. I have the persistant search bar on the home screen, but clicking on it does nothing. And now since I've set up my phone, i dont want to have to go back and do it all again. Is there a way to install the search app?
Might be a long shot but try downloading Google's Search App from the Play Store. I used to do that when I used MIUI roms that defaulted to the chinese search engine. Might at least be worth a shot.

Take fex this app
Launcher 8
Search Google Play store for it, cause im not allowed to post links yet, and not to mention the super annoying captcha for every post
Screen shot number 6 shows the settings in that app, but i have no idea where to enter it, i got similar problems with other apps as well, cant find the referred settings page...

Did you read my post? Launch the app, once it is launched three little dots will appear at the top or bottom of the screen, these are where you enter any applications settings.

Try a long-press on the screen? Most apps will follow the android guidelines of using the 3 dots to indicate the menu, but others (especially homescreens) will rely on long-presses to declutter the UI.

Upgraded firmware to 5.0 but now holding down the home button just opens a google search. How can I get it back to how it was originally and have it open recent apps?

Thing is, that this is normal in LP, because google changed things in lollipop, i don't know for solutions or that there is some .
Reading on internet,i found that lollipop shuts down not working apps automaticly, so there is no need for an app manager

Looks like I just have to hold down the button on the right and that does it but how can I disable home button hold down? Why do they think I'm so desperate for a search I need a dedicated button for it?
Hello Guys Today i will help you all to enabling Google assistant!
1> Search "google app" in google play
2>Then enter and scroll down to bottom, join for beta testing.
3> Wait for few minutes, then update will be showing then just update it and clear data then run the app! :good:
4> Go to setting > Buttons> Home button> long press action set = search assistant
I know many guys already done or got hands on assistant but still its for the guys who couldn't do it in Cm13.0..
Thank you Hope it helped and also i have attached screenshot!
