Xposed Framework - TouchPad Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have recently had a need to run Xposed Framework on my TouchPad running cm-11-20151116-SNAPSHOT-jcscullins-tenderloin.zip. My problem is that I am unable to install the Xposed Installer apk, it just sits at the install screen with cancel and install buttons at the bottom. Tapping install does nothing, cancel exits the installation. I have tried de.robv.android.xposed.installer_v32_de4f0d and de.robv.android.xposed.installer_v33_36570c with the same results. What is the proper way to install Xposed Framework on my TouchPad?

I had a similar problem about a year ago. I read an article somewhere that suggested apps that control your display can be the source of the problem. I remembered I was using the Urbandroid app Twilight. Once I paused or temporarily disabled the app I was able to click the install button for the APK.
On another note, I am using CM11 KitKat 4.4.4 developed by Milaq. No matter what version of the
xposed framework I install, it will not allow me to activate the framework. It just gives me a long technical error message that says my SDK version and my ARM processor version are to blame. I hope you will experience more joy than I have.

Xposed doesn't seem to work on 20151116. At the very least, 2.7 does work on 20150113 but battery drain while sleeping is still an issue on that build. Were either of you able to get Xposed working on 20151116? Did you have any luck with the Xposed 3.0 framework?

Did anybody try this?

Error Updating Installer

Hi all, i am on my s4(verizon) and have just successfully installed hyperdrive rom(version:16) which is currently 4.4
Anyway, xposed installer comes integrated in the ROM, and when i try to update it by pressing the install/update it doesn't do anything.
when i try to do this manually, i get an error: (refer to screenshot)
This also applies to the App Settings Module
The reason i discovered this is when i tried to use a module it stated that my xposed bridge wasn't updated.
Any Ideas On How To Fix?

That's the problem. You have to uninstall the preinstalled version first. For help, please use the ROM's thread.

[HELP]Huawei Prism II won't install

Hello XDA,
I have tried all day to get Xposed to work with the 4.1.1 software I am running but can not figure out how to. I am rooted and bootloader unlocked. Will post logs ASAP. Have tried installing the normal way and from recovery. The app says I haven't rebooted. Thank you.
Was using version 2.7.1, switched to 2.6.1 and all is good. Now.
Actually just found out that Xposed won't activate if I don't disable resource hooks. But the modules I want to use. ie: Pandora Patcher, need resource hooks to work.

Xposed Installer Static Busybox

Hi, experts,
When I tried to install the Xposed Framework, I was led by the Installer to install a fix for the "Segmentation fault" known to my ROM. However, after installing the fix apk, the installation of the Framework was not successful as I expected. My phone stopped the Beat Audio image (with occasional vibrations) before getting into the normal interface screen. I pressed the power button a few times and eventually brought the phone to work as before The Xposed Installer shows that the Framework is not installed.
I am using an ICS 4.0.3 based custom ROM (EnergyROM 1/Aug/2012) on an HTC Amaze 4G.
Could anyone tell me how to make Xposed work on this particular ROM?
Other popular custom ROMs on HTC Amaze are also based on ICS 4.0.3. But maybe at least they work with Xposed after the fix? The "Revolution ROM" was made in Jan, 2014 - maybe it can avoid the busybox problem?
Thank you for your time and help.
Solved. Xposed Installer 1.5.1 works with this ROM. The busybox fix is still needed. One needs to manually install it before install the framework. So far the youtube modules work on my phone.

Help needed. How to flash xposed framework on Android TV Box?

Currently I am using mibox 3 pro android tv box, but there is no TWRP/CWM recovery for it. If I directly write the framework to system, then system stops running. Are there any suggestions about this issue? Thank you.
Problem solved. Using FireFlash to flash the framework.
I guess this is kind of a self-asking and answering thread. Haha.
Question about your Xposed Installation on Android TV Box
NOTE: If there is anyone else out there who has successfully installed Xposed Framework on an Android TV (NOT Shield because it's 4x the cost of many other boxes), can you please chime in? I don't need a powerful box, I just need to be able to leverage a few of the Xposed modules.

Hello. I know this thread is a little old, but did you get this to work? Were you able to load the MIBox 3 with Xposed framework and install modules even WITHOUT recovery? If so, can you please try to explain your process?
I just tried to install the framework on a different box using FireFlash. It indicated that the install worked correctly, but I could not access Xposed (via the apk app). The app simply indicated that the framework was not installed.
Also, if possible, can you please describe your box (processor, Android version, etc.)? Which framework did you flash (x86, Arm32, Arm 64)? And did most of the modules work?
Sorry for all the questions, but I (and probably everyone else who wants to install on an Android TV box) would really appreciate it.
Thank you so much.

I'm looking to do the same thing. I have the Akaso T95Z Plus which is a Amlogic S912. I'm about to try this but want to make sure it'll work before I start.
I would try to install TWRP if it's possible (if there's a TWRP build for my device) because there's more functionality in TWRP as opposed to standard recovery. But I'd want to make sure there's not issues before I start.
Word of advice for anyone with an Android TV Box. Instead of using the toothpick method to boot into recovery, just install a boot app that allows you to Reboot into Recovery, Just Reboot normally (which comes in handy with Android TV Boxes because there's no power button) , Reboot to Bootloader, Reboot to Download Mode, Reboot to Safe Mode, Power Down. I use Reboot Manager from the google play store which really comes in handy.
hi guys, i found the easy way to flash Xposed framework for android tv box here:
https://vntvbox.com/huong-dan-cai-dat-xposed-framework-cho-android-tv-box-how-to-install
For S912, S905X, S905,...
I have installed xposed installer framework and YouTube adaway module and xposed frame work has a green check mark saying it's active , but the adaway is not working.
Do I need to install custom ROM and TWRP ? I just installed xposed frame work alone with no modifications. Im using an amlogic s912 box

Confused about installing Xposed on Nougat

My apologies, but I'm overwhelmed by installing Xposed on Nougat and I'd like some help from a kind soul.
I'm running Android 7.0 on an LG G5 RS988, and have root and superuser access, with TWRP.
I've installed the Xposed Installer provided by dvdandroid (XposedInstaller_by_dvdandroid_09_09_17.apk)
...then used that to flash install the framework by PurifyOS (26-07-17-xposed-v87-sdk24-Xposed-by-PurifyOS.zip).
Unfortunately on the homescreen of the Installer, I get the message "installed, but not active".
The log includes a lot of information about java.lang.ClassNotFoundException errors for com.android.internal.policy.impl.GlobalActions
I'm unsure of how to proceed, out of ignorance. I don't understand the role of Magisk (or what it is), how Nougat works relative to Xposed, or basically anything that's happened with Xposed since Marshmallow. I've read the threads and unfortunately am still confused.
Could someone please help me out?
@mean_liar you can ask dvdandroid and send him a log with the xposed error i think it can be a sdk issue and he'll might send u a zip with the files he wants u to test

I revisited the problem, uninstalled, cleared cache, reinstalled... now it is activated and installed, but the modules don't seem responsive regardless of activation.
I'm going to sit on this a day, take some time, and figure out if I should be trying Magisk or not.

Try http://www50.zippyshare.com/v/B04DN0DB/file.html
And select the sdk-23 apk there seems to be a bug if a higher sdk is set
Also clear dalvik-cache it should help you.
