Best Hardware Diagnostics Apps - Device Repair

Best Hardware Diagnostics AppsSometimes it's not always immediately apparent as to what is wrong with a particular phone. It's not always obvious what's causing the symptom you're experiencing. It took four therapists and seven psychiatrists to get to the root of all of my issues lol. So before you crack open your phone to do some repairs, run one of these hardware diagnostic tools.

nice app
Very nice! Please give landscape support in furture release...thanks
looks pretty nice, i'll find a use for this .
Anyone who's going to buy this:
Smartphones have crappy miniature microphones. They have a considerable noise floor, so if you're in a "silent" room, the meters WILL display something. They will anyway, since a room is never entirely silent, alone due to the brownian movements of the air that'd even make a high-end mike pick up noise.
SPL measurements are based on a logarithmic function. The sound pressure difference between a faint sound and a little lesser faint sound is way larger than between a jackhammer and a jet engine. That's the nature of logarithms. Here, take a look at the log10 of the values from 0 to 10000:

}
Note how the difference from 0 to 1000 is way larger than from 5000 to 10000.
In essence, the application's not broken. The theory behind it is sound, it just has to make do with what it can work, namely a noisy microphone.
Is there a free version of this app?
Thanks
thx tom but why it s free on your site and 0.99 on zune market ?
Ah, the site is outdated. I kinda had to change my mind, when that supposed "five free apps" suddenly changed to "five free submissions for free apps". Means, after the fifth submission of a free application or an update of one, I'll have to pay 20 bucks for each free submission. So I have to charge something, especially since I refuse to put ads in my applications (e.g. to pay for update submissions). I figure I could put a trial mode in, but I'm not entirely sure how I could cap the application, nor whether a unlimited-time fully functionality trial applications will pass certification (since it defies trial mode and affects their income).

[App] Best FM Tuner , Free App

Hi All,
I just released this interesting free App to Marketplace, I need some users, cause the developed functions depends from FM Chip Hardware installed on every handset.
My FM Tuner has one unique feature, the Best Stations Scan. I wrote an algorithm using my Lumia 800, but I cannot ensure it works on every device. When you launch an fm scan within the app, the phone retrieve the 30 best signal stations in your Area and record them to the device. Then the data is sent to my backend, along with device model and manufacturer for analysis. With this data I can perfectionate the algorithm based on gathered data.
Plus, scanning your area, you contribute to my global FM frequencies.
I'm working on this , in order activate, in the next future, the download Best Station through network.
If you find any bug or for suggestions, please,comment this thread.
TIP:When scanning, use Headphones !!! Extend them as long as possible, better reception achieved.

Concept: Android system with multiple inputs and outputs

I'm well behind the curve on Android in the car and I'm not sure this is even the right place for it but I have a concept for a system and I'm not sure whether the current state of the art permits it. But here goes anyway.
The car is exotic and rare: a Renault Avantime. Here's the cockpit:
{

"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
You'll note that it's a work of art (may not be to your taste but it's one of those rare beasts; a concept show car that actually went into production). So I don't want to mess with it too much. You'll also note that there's a bump with a Satnav screen (factory system: old VDO/Dayton thing) on top of the dash. There's also a large flap cover forward of the gearshift; that covers a double-DIN hole which was used for the factory CD and satnav controls panel. The factory radio is a headless unit under the seat which runs a dashboard display and steering wheel controls - with a remote for more complex functions.
What I want to install is an Android system with multiple inputs and outputs. The primary display would take the place of the flap forward of the gearshift. The brains of the thing may or may not be integrated into that display.
Inputs would consist of:
- a cabin webcam used for Skype etc.
- a backup camera (no factory fit)
- a forward-looking thermal camera for night vision
The primary touchscreen display would be in front of the gearshift as described. The existing Satnav display would be adapted for a secondary screen (probably not a touchscreen; just a display): normally it would show Google Maps - or some other app for nav data. But it would be selectable via software to display the backup camera view, the thermal camera view, or the Skype display when in a Skype video call.
Obviously the unit would need to be capable of controlling and driving an external AM/FM receiver/amp for that side of the entertainment functionality.
Is any Android system capable of handling these multiple inputs and outputs? The ability to display specific apps on the secondary display is kinda crucial to what I want to do here; are there any general solutions to getting multiple video streams into and out of an Android device? Or would I be better considering a bespoke car PC based on Linux or something? Any suggestions gratefully received.

[Request/Thought] Stock FM radio experience port for N960U?

I know it's been discussed before, but according to the N9600 variant getting root recently, the dev @Mentalmuso made up my mind with his WETA thread unsurprisingly the .apk I've been looking for was there but obviously it's unable to install for being a system thing which makes me wonder:
Since the system partition is untouchable without root (which is not in sight) and this apk has to be placed there to work, flashing it somehow is the only option I suppose.
Just for the clarification - I don't like the Next radio experience at all and I'll name the reasons from top to bottom:
1. No record button - this is the most critical for me. The Recforge workaround which I counted on no longer works here.
2. No RDS. There is a built in database that gathers up information on your current location and names the frequencies to the stations in this area. For people outside U.S.A this feature is useless.
3. No swipe for fast navigation across the dial. Inconvenient manual frequency typing forces me to empty the field then type in the desired value, must insert a "."dot for decimal separation.
4. Only odd numbers are displayed. It may as well pick up the even ones properly (since 2016 it should) but still display them as odds.
5. On screen advertisements - I wish to use a service that is already commercial, why do I need such obstacles in the way?
6. Load times - though quite minor flaw but Next radio has a splash screen for at least 2~3 seconds then it takes a few more seconds from the moment you push the operate button until you can hear a sound, compared to the stock operation which takes almost instantly. Also the seek buttons have a small delay in Next radio.
Again, only the miss of record is really bugging me to the point I consider a switch to N9600. If Recforge did it for me (or a sound recorder equivalent) I could live with the rest. Apart from this I'm completely fine unrooted.
Any idea of how to legit flash this .apk or a new way to record that doesn't involve aux and streaming?

How To Guide How to turn off terrible Audio Dirac Tuner

We need:
- OnePlus Nord CE 5G
- OxygenOS 11.0.9.9.EB13AA
- root (I have Magisk without TWRP)
- App Manager (Github)
I could start to just start screaming how terrible feature it is, and we even can't permanently turn it off, but my English is bad so better let's start.
1. Open App manager
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2. Open side menu.
3. Go to the second option - probably "list settings" in English.
4. Untick selected option (It will be ticked by default) - probably "user applications" in English.
5. Then in the search bar type: "tuner" and click on "Tuner audio Dirac".
6. Click Turn-off equivalent in your language (mine is ON because I turned it off before) - don't worry, just click this down pointing arrow icon.
7. Reboot
8. Test if this works:
Testing Methods:
- plug your headphones and listen same track with the same headphones on PC and phone
- go to options, pick audio related options, and then you will see Dirac options - click them, you should get white screen and then force push to options main menu (Its DESIRED effect) - after doing same thing continuously you will get settings menu crash (this only appears after doing this twice - not important thing)
When you get same results as above - congratulations: operation complete.
During testing, watch for any unexpected behaviour (You turned off a system component after all).
One important thing: Don't REMOVE/UNINSTALL a component. This app is already turned off and never self-activate (maybe until update, then do the same steps). I think removing this feature will affect negatively on system (somehow).
