2. download the font package hebdroid_fonts.zip, unzipr it and put on your SD card
3. download terminal emulator from the market.
4. check that you have root access by typing " su " and hit enter. (it will return a " # " if you have access.
5. now the hard part and the long.... you need to type all the following commands on the terminal emulator

cat /sdcard/DroidSans-Bold.ttf > /system/fonts/DroidSans-Bold.ttf
cat /sdcard/DroidSansMono.ttf > /system/fonts/DroidSansMono.ttf
cat /sdcard/DroidSans.ttf > /system/fonts/DroidSans.ttf
cat /sdcard/DroidSerif-Bold.ttf > /system/fonts/DroidSerif-Bold.ttf

cat /sdcard/DroidSansFallback.ttf > /system/fonts/DroidSansFallback.ttf
reboot

6. to be actually have the Hebrew Keyboard and able to type Hebrew Letters you need to download AnySoftkeyboard from the market and then the Hebrew add on of the AnySoftkeyboard.
7. confing AnySoftkeyboard to be set up to your language and Hebrew or other multy AnySoftkeyboard language support.
Copy rights for the fonts are in side the ZIP file.

i bet you had the fonts file in the galaxy internal memory and not in the sd card.
put the font files in sd card !
you must run the command line and point it to the fonts location... in my way i had the fornts in the sd card and pointed the commandline to the sd card.

Figured it out...... yes the files were on the SD card. I may not have a high post count but i have been doing this for a while and know the difference.
I had to edit the string after using a root file explorer to find the exact location.
/sdcard/sd/DroidSans-Bold.ttf
Worked after that.
Still having issues though as it seems that only the bold font copied over as the general font is just showing as squares still....

Although I can see, read and write in Hebrew, there are still 2 issues that I am not able to solve:
1) Email subject in Hebrew (when viewed) come up in reverse order.
2) Audio files tagged in Hebrew are presented in gibberish. (In the player)
Anyone else witnessed these issues ? and more importantly, has anyone found a solution for it ?

same problem in subjects of emails - the bodies are presented correctly

Hi folks,
we have some lucky users among us with a generic (Dev) IMEI - some of these are able to get OTA updates, thought for testusers and/or developers from Samsung, after they install latest Test firmware XXLSA from sammobile....some got updates up to XXLSC and already provided a dump. Others got updates up to XXLSD (and maybe higher in future - who knows, where the journey ends...), but don't know what to do to share this firmware with us 'Flashaholics' here on xda and other forums...
Now, as more and more people asking me (why ever me...) how to make a system dump from Stock Firmware, I decided to write a short 'HowTo for Dummies'. So if you know about someone, who has a unknown Test Firmware installed, or YOU are the chosen one, just follow this tutorial and make us happy
This is just one way of several to do this - but as I think, it is the easiest way for newbies (without having to use Android SDK and adb shell on PC --> that's what experienced would do )
Prerequisites:
- at least 1,4 GB free space on internal SDcard
- a brain (and above 80 IQ-points...)!!!!!
Step 1) Rooting your Stock Firmware (thx to Phil for the steps, I just copy/pasted them) --> if you already have Root + busybox installed, go to Step 2) directly
download this Root_Superuser_3.1.3_Busybox_1.20.2-Update1-signed.zip and this cwm-non-touch-6.0.1.4-i9100.zip
Put the previously downloaded cwm-non-touch-6.0.x.x-i9100.zip file on your external sd card
Copy the Root_XXX.zip file you downloaded to internal or external sd card
Boot into stock recovery (volume up+home+power), and select "apply update from external storage". Now select the cwm-non-touch-6.x.x.x-i9100.zip file you copied in previous step (this step gives a temporary flash that will disappear after reboot)
You get CWM recovery interface (this custom recovery is temporary, not permanent)
Inside CWM, select "install zip from sdcard". Then, select "choose zip from sdcard". Now, scroll down to the "Root_XXX.zip" file and hit power button to install it.
It will add SuperSU or Superuser last version apk to system/app, last superuser binary (su) to system/xbin and busybox last version to system/xbin, all with correct file permissions.
Reboot and you get permanent root + busybox installed on your stock kernel.
(You can easily unroot your device afterwards...it is also described in Phils thread, where I took all these from: [20 Sep 2012][ICS]Universal Rooting for most ICS phones, Any ROM, now with CWM6 )
Step 2) Making a complete System Dump of Stock Firmware:
Install 'Terminal Emulator' from Playstore
Open Terminal Emulator
type 'su' with your internal keyboard and press return button
grant Superuser access on upcoming popup window
now type the following line and press return button after finished typing:

dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p8 of=/sdcard/modem.bin
==> this will generate 'modem.bin' (= Modem) on your internal SDcard (will be finished after a few seconds)
now type the following line and press return button after finished typing:

dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5 of=/sdcard/zImage
==> this will generate 'zImage' (= Kernel) on your internal SDcard (will be finished after a few seconds)
now type the following line and press return button after finished typing:

dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p12 of=/sdcard/hidden.img
==> this will generate 'hidden.img' (= preload partition) on your internal SDcard (will be finished after a few minutes, as it is more then 300 mb!)
now type the following line and press return button after finished typing:

dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p9 of=/sdcard/factoryfs.img
==> this will generate 'factoryfs.img' (= system partition) on your internal SDcard (will be finished after a few minutes, as it is more then 800 mb!)
Now you have the following output / files on your internal SDcard:
modem.bin
zImage
hidden.img
factoryfs.img
==> zip these 4 together and upload them to a hoster ==> post the link here and devs can start building a new ROM (Stock + CustomROMs) and kernel devs (now we luckily have Phil for that) can preroot the kernel + put in CWM recovery.
That's all and really very very easy....

It was easy copy paste for me in the rooting part....you can root and install busybox in 567 different ways...in the end the result counts

I made the dumps from my PC with a connected device with "adb", so I could copy them to the harddisk directly.
"adb devices" for checking if connection is established, "adb shell" switching to the device, "su" for root access, and then the commands eybee1970 explained in detail.
After that I fetched the files in my file manager from the connected device.
I prefer to work with terminal windows on the PC and not on the device.
With this you do not need Step 1 - because I didn't

4Way reboot mod is at the system/framwork/ directory "android.policy.jar" file is responsible for this stuff....
as for all multi apps after an investigation it appeared it looked for a certain statement to know whether its a sammy app patching that code to the launcher and editting the policy for this feature too gets you all apps access (almost all) as some just dont work....
there are plenty of guides and tutorials over the internet and forums... on different phones mostly but with a little time you can manage everything as you want to so READ some enjoy!
i'am guessing we need to start writing more tutorials in the N7000 section in here we have no knowledge sharing mostly developing and some new guys are ready to try their own so we have to share everything it started with eybee (thanks to him) and hopefully will continue with all other guys who do mods.... no matter how small it can be usefull.
believe it or not but even devs assist each other with mods its not like each one was born with all that OP-Code in his head
Ah...good guide eybee.Let me see if i can make a shell script to dump the partitions and make odin roms out of it.I already have scripts to dump and make odin rom for /system,/data partitions.will add preload,kernel and modem to the script.Let me see how my time permits today.Hope the script will help people.But the only drawback is it will work only on linux.Users may use cygwin too for it

For my case adb shell was not succeed. Device reboots unexpectedly while dumping factoryfs. Maybe file size is too big. Thus I had to use terminal emulator though pc keyboard is much more convenience

Two remarks:
Typing something like "dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p9 of=/sdcard/factoryfs.img" is never something I would call easy. If you do not have Linux shell commands knowledge, than these are about "50 characters without meaning" that you have to type (on the keyboard of your device - which is even more error-prone).
PC or Note: it is never dummy-simple.
Making a batch wich automatically generates an ROM installable with ODIN (so the result are tars) is dangerous.
The difference between "dump" and "dumb" isn't so big - as I just proved myself.
When you make a batch with a complete process from dumping, copying, building to a "blob" installable with Odin there will be no step in the process for quality control.
Example (hurts to write this): If there's something in the original Rom you are dumping that couldn't be shared then it makes its way through the process in to the final Rom. And the dummy user of these scripts will never know or can protect himself from it.
Only pro from this: after learning this the hard way you don't feel like a dummy user anymore.
I did this 4 days ago and only published this now as I wanted to make sure it was stable and be as close to stock (aka pure Google experience). Only problem I have now is "Now on Tap" doesn't seem to work. Advise from those in the know if appreciated. Credits to those in their respective links I've included here.

How I installed Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) on my Nexus 4...
I used Windows 7 as the base platform as all the tools needed are easily found on this platform.
WARNING: You will lose all data in phone, backup as necessary. I will not be responsible for this HOWTO, do so at your own risk. Yes, it worked for me. Your mileage may vary...
A. Prior to building/installing the Marshmallow build, you will need the following.
A.1. Install ADB and FASTBOOT tools.
These are the tools used to install Marshmallow on your phone. You can either install the full Android SDK or get them from this XDA thread at URL http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
A.2. Install WinRAR.
You will need to use a tool called WinRAR to extract or replace certain files in an archive. You can download a copy from URL http://www.win-rar.com/
A.3. Download a Mako Google factory image of Lollipop at URL https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images?hl=en#occam
We are going to modify the factory image of a Lollipop build. To upgrade my Mako, I used the LMY48M build.
A.4. Download the WORKING IMAGE of Android M on Nexus 4
Get the image file from URL http://dmitry.gr/index.php?r=06.+Thoughts&proj=02.+Android+M+on+Nexus4
You will get an archive called "MakoM_bin_v2.zip" file. If there is a newer version, use that instead but I used this version when I installed on my Mako.
A.5. Download TWRP for Mako
Get the TeamWin Recovery Project (TWRP) v2.8.7.0 from URL https://dl.twrp.me/mako/twrp-2.8.7.0-mako.img
A.6. Download the Google Apps (not provided in the AOSP builds).
Get the file "gapps-mm-fix.zip" from URL https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347833783
A.7. Download a patched kernel image that allows you to install SuperSU root.
Get the file "Fixed_Data_root.img" from URL https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347833767
A.8. Download a fix for Location services (GPS) not working.
Get the file "framework-res.apk" from URL http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63229334&postcount=434
A.9. Download the root manager utility.
Get the file "BETA-SuperSU-v2.52.zip" from URL http://download.chainfire.eu/743/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.52.zip
B. Checklist
B.1. If you have downloaded everything, you should have a list of the following:
- minimal_adb_fastboot_v1.3.1_setup.exe
- wrar521.exe
- occam-lmy48m-factory-03ae06e5.tgz
- MakoM_bin_v2.zip
- twrp-2.8.7.0-mako.img
- gapps-mm-fix.zip
- Fixed_Data_root.img

- BETA-SuperSU-v2.52.zip
C. Installation and building the installer
C.1. Install the "minimal_adb_fastboot_v1.3.1_setup.exe" and "wrar521.exe" installers, leave settings as default.
C.2. Extract the content of file "occam-lmy48m-factory-03ae06e5.tgz" using WinRAR, it'll create a folder called "occam-lmy48m". Rename "occam-lmy48m" to "mako-marshmallow".
C.3. Extract the content of file "MakoM_bin_v2.zip" and you should get the following files:
- system.img
- Choose either "n4_lte_modem.img" or "normal_modem.img" depending if you want LTE support or just 3G (UMTS) support and rename that file to "radio-mako-m9615a-cefwmazm-2.0.1701.07.img"
C.4. Rename the file "twrp-2.8.7.0-mako.img" to "recovery.img", and "Fixed_Data_root.img" to "boot.img"
C.5. Replace the "radio-mako-m9615a-cefwmazm-2.0.1701.07.img" file inside the "mako-marshmallow" folder with our "radio-mako-m9615a-cefwmazm-2.0.1701.07.img" which we extracted from file "MakoM_bin_v2.zip"
C.6. Open the "image-occam-lmy48m.zip" file and replace the following files which we downloaded from the twrp.me or dimitry.gr site. They are:
- boot.img
- system.img
- recovery.img
C.7. Open a command shell:
Start -> Run -> cmd
From the command shell, go to the folder called "mako-marshmallow"
C.8. Make sure the Nexus 4 has at least 80% battery and restart the phone into bootloader mode (by switching off the phone, the pressing the on button and at the same time pressing the volume down button). To confirm you are in bootloader mode, type in the command:
fastboot devices
You should now see the output "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx fastboot" appear, where "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" is the serial number that appears on your Nexus 4 screen. They should be the same and you should only have one line appearing, disconnect any other device if they appear on the list.
C.9. Install the image you just build by running the script "flash-all.bat". A Series of statuses will appear on the screen. Do not disconnect the phone from the cable and let the script install everything. If done correctly, you will find the Nexus 4 rebooting. WARNING: This will erase all user data on your Nexus 4!
C.10. Once you see the Home screen of Marshmallow on your Nexus 4, go to Settings -> About Phone and tap the BUILD number seven (7) times. When you go back to the Settings screen, just above the "About Phone" is a new menu item called "Developer Options".
C.11. Go to Settings -> Developer Options and enable "USB debugging". To ensure debugging is on, go to the command shell and type:
adb devices
It sure display the list of devices with the same serial number and should have the word "device" next to the serial number. You will be prompted on the phone if you want to allow this connection.
C.12. Make sure the USB is connected in MTP mode (Transfer files mode). In windows file maanger (Press the Win-E keys), you will see a device called "Nexus 4". Open it and in the "Internal storage", go to the "Download" folder and copy the following files:
- gapps-mm-fix.zip
- framework-res.apk
- BETA-SuperSU-v2.52.zip
Then, in a command shell, issues the command:
adb reboot bootloader
C.13. From the bootloader screen, press the volume down button until the option "Recovery" appears, then press the Power button once to boot into TWRP/Recovery.
C.14. In TWRP, select to install the file "gapps-mm-fix.zip" and "BETA-SuperSU-v2.52.zip" from the "Download" folder. Once completed, press the "Reboot" button that appears in TWRP.
C.15. When the phone restarts. Go to Settings -> Backup & reset and reset the whole phone. If you get a error message from the "Setup Wizard", press the Open-apps (ie. the square softkey on the screen) and you should see the "Settings" pane.
C.16. Once the phone restart from the master reset exercise. You will be prompted as if you just switched on a new phone. Fill in as necessary until you get to the Home screen.
C.17. We will need to replace a file to get Location Services (GPS) working. From you command shell:
adb root
adb remount
adb shell
cp /sdcard/Download/framework-res.apk /system/framework/
exit
adb reboot
C.18. I disabled the following apps (drag the app to the "App Info" button, and press the "Disable" button) for the following and replaced the with similar app from Google Play (name in brackets). This was done as the built in apps kept crashing every few minutes or didn't work as expected. The apps are:
- Browser (Chrome Browser)
- Clock (Clock)
- Camera (Google Camera)
- Calendar (Google Calendar)
- Contacts (Google Contacts)
- Music (Google Play Music)
- Gallery (Google Photos)
- Search (Google)
- EMail (GMail)
C.19. Restart phone and you're ready to experience a stable (close to Google stock) build of Marshmallow on your Mako (Nexus 4).
C.20. Fixing the "Google Now on Tap" not working problem (thanks to gamekid94).
Go to Settings -> Apps
- Tap on the "Gear" (icon on the top right) -> Default Apps -> Assist & voice input -> Assist app
- Select "None", then select "Google App".
Go to Settings -> Google -> Search & Now -> Voice
- Enable "Now on Tap"
C.21. Install and customize as you see fit.
While this can probably be useful to new users I don't think it belongs in the development subforum. A better place for it would probably be the general subforum.
OR... Or.. Or- You could just install a custom M ROM via flashing in TWRP. Much more easier lol.
Use Nexus Root Toolkit to backup everything, unlock bootloader, flash TWRP, and Root. Download Custom M ROM and Gapps, reboot to recovery, make a backup, wipe everything except internal storage, flash ROM. Done.
No need for extracting everything, ridiculous ADB commands, etc.

Here's how i managed to get Now on Tap to work :
1. Go to settings .
2. Open "Apps" from the settings menu.
3. Tap on the "Gear" icon on the top right.
4. Select "Default Apps" and open "Assist and voice input".
5. Here, tap on Assist app, set it to None and then Back to google app.

I got stuck up at C12. I do see the Nexus 4 in the as one of the devices connected. However when I click on it, I don't see any folders under it called as "internal storage", also when I try to copy these files (as in C12) I get an error "Cannot copy item - The device has stopped responding or has been disconnected". I am stuck here, any direction here is well appreciated.

How I installed Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) on my Nexus 4...
I used Windows 7 as the base platform as all the tools needed are easily found on this platform.
WARNING: You will lose all data in phone, backup as necessary. I will not be responsible for this HOWTO, do so at your own risk. Yes, it worked for me. Your mileage may vary...
A. Prior to building/installing the Marshmallow build, you will need the following.
A.1. Install ADB and FASTBOOT tools.
These are the tools used to install Marshmallow on your phone. You can either install the full Android SDK or get them from this XDA thread at URL http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
A.2. Install WinRAR.
You will need to use a tool called WinRAR to extract or replace certain files in an archive. You can download a copy from URL http://www.win-rar.com/
A.3. Download a Mako Google factory image of Lollipop at URL https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images?hl=en#occam
We are going to modify the factory image of a Lollipop build. To upgrade my Mako, I used the LMY48M build.
A.4. Download the WORKING IMAGE of Android M on Nexus 4
Get the image file from URL http://dmitry.gr/index.php?r=06.+Thoughts&proj=02.+Android+M+on+Nexus4
You will get an archive called "MakoM_bin_v2.zip" file. If there is a newer version, use that instead but I used this version when I installed on my Mako.

C. Installation and building the installer
C.1. Install the "minimal_adb_fastboot_v1.3.1_setup.exe" and "wrar521.exe" installers, leave settings as default.
C.2. Extract the content of file "occam-lmy48m-factory-03ae06e5.tgz" using WinRAR, it'll create a folder called "occam-lmy48m". Rename "occam-lmy48m" to "mako-marshmallow".
C.3. Extract the content of file "MakoM_bin_v2.zip" and you should get the following files:
- system.img
- Choose either "n4_lte_modem.img" or "normal_modem.img" depending if you want LTE support or just 3G (UMTS) support and rename that file to "radio-mako-m9615a-cefwmazm-2.0.1701.07.img"
C.4. Rename the file "twrp-2.8.7.0-mako.img" to "recovery.img", and "Fixed_Data_root.img" to "boot.img"
C.5. Replace the "radio-mako-m9615a-cefwmazm-2.0.1701.07.img" file inside the "mako-marshmallow" folder with our "radio-mako-m9615a-cefwmazm-2.0.1701.07.img" which we extracted from file "MakoM_bin_v2.zip"
C.6. Open the "image-occam-lmy48m.zip" file and replace the following files which we downloaded from the twrp.me or dimitry.gr site. They are:
- boot.img
- system.img
- recovery.img
C.7. Open a command shell:
Start -> Run -> cmd
From the command shell, go to the folder called "mako-marshmallow"
C.8. Make sure the Nexus 4 has at least 80% battery and restart the phone into bootloader mode (by switching off the phone, the pressing the on button and at the same time pressing the volume down button). To confirm you are in bootloader mode, type in the command:
fastboot devices
You should now see the output "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx fastboot" appear, where "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" is the serial number that appears on your Nexus 4 screen. They should be the same and you should only have one line appearing, disconnect any other device if they appear on the list.
C.9. Install the image you just build by running the script "flash-all.bat". A Series of statuses will appear on the screen. Do not disconnect the phone from the cable and let the script install everything. If done correctly, you will find the Nexus 4 rebooting. WARNING: This will erase all user data on your Nexus 4!
C.10. Once you see the Home screen of Marshmallow on your Nexus 4, go to Settings -> About Phone and tap the BUILD number seven (7) times. When you go back to the Settings screen, just above the "About Phone" is a new menu item called "Developer Options".
C.11. Go to Settings -> Developer Options and enable "USB debugging". To ensure debugging is on, go to the command shell and type:
adb devices
It sure display the list of devices with the same serial number and should have the word "device" next to the serial number. You will be prompted on the phone if you want to allow this connection.
C.12. Make sure the USB is connected in MTP mode (Transfer files mode). In windows file maanger (Press the Win-E keys), you will see a device called "Nexus 4". Open it and in the "Internal storage", go to the "Download" folder and copy the following files:
- gapps-mm-fix.zip
- framework-res.apk
- BETA-SuperSU-v2.52.zip
Then, in a command shell, issues the command:
adb reboot bootloader
C.13. From the bootloader screen, press the volume down button until the option "Recovery" appears, then press the Power button once to boot into TWRP/Recovery.
C.14. In TWRP, select to install the file "gapps-mm-fix.zip" and "BETA-SuperSU-v2.52.zip" from the "Download" folder. Once completed, press the "Reboot" button that appears in TWRP.
C.15. When the phone restarts. Go to Settings -> Backup & reset and reset the whole phone. If you get a error message from the "Setup Wizard", press the Open-apps (ie. the square softkey on the screen) and you should see the "Settings" pane.
C.16. Once the phone restart from the master reset exercise. You will be prompted as if you just switched on a new phone. Fill in as necessary until you get to the Home screen.
C.17. We will need to replace a file to get Location Services (GPS) working. From you command shell:
adb root
adb remount
adb shell
cp /sdcard/Download/framework-res.apk /system/framework/
exit
adb reboot
C.18. I disabled the following apps (drag the app to the "App Info" button, and press the "Disable" button) for the following and replaced the with similar app from Google Play (name in brackets). This was done as the built in apps kept crashing every few minutes or didn't work as expected. The apps are:
- Browser (Chrome Browser)
- Clock (Clock)
- Camera (Google Camera)
- Calendar (Google Calendar)
- Contacts (Google Contacts)
- Music (Google Play Music)
- Gallery (Google Photos)
- Search (Google)
- EMail (GMail)
C.19. Restart phone and you're ready to experience a stable (close to Google stock) build of Marshmallow on your Mako (Nexus 4).
C.20. Fixing the "Google Now on Tap" not working problem (thanks to gamekid94).
Go to Settings -> Apps
- Tap on the "Gear" (icon on the top right) -> Default Apps -> Assist & voice input -> Assist app
- Select "None", then select "Google App".
Go to Settings -> Google -> Search & Now -> Voice
- Enable "Now on Tap"

I need a "how to guide" for idiots please! How to install ROM on a X98Air III (M5C5)
First of all a little history!
I started in X98 Air III M5C5 with clean stock ROM? as I really want a clean, stock ROM with no extras or Chinese bloatware!
The 1st thing I did was go to "Intel Android Devices Root / Temp Recovery Session" to root my tablet.
I wiped the tablet and reset to Factory, wiped dalvik cache
I followed the instructions there
Selected option 5 from the launcher "CMW" then used trigger T4.
This booted the unit into custom recovery and I managed to select the su.zip file
and seem to have a rooted tablet now! Well SU is installed and seems to be working! Yay - step 1 Complete
I then downloaded X98+Air+III(M5C5)+-+guvno.zip and and also X98 Air III V1.00_20151204 Clean Stock CWM Backup (just in case), put on the root of the Tablet (Couldnt put on SD card because it cant find it in recovery)
I also downloaded the system.img.gz file ( but have no idea what to do with that, so just put it in the root of the tablet !!!
SO I am now stuck -
I have make sure you have downloaded and installed the adb / fastboot drivers . . .
I have enabled developer options / adb debugging under settings on my device . . .
The tool is reporting :
DEVICE STATUS: ADB-ONLINE
DEVICE INFORMATION: Baytrail000005A4 device
I then selected option 5 from the launcher "CMW" then used trigger T4.
This booted the unit into Vampirefo Venue 8 v6:
I tried to restore and got the error message: Couldnt open directory , no files found
I tried to instal the guvno zip file with the following error message: installation aborted with the dead android with a red triangle
I am unable to do anything else from here and this is where I need your help please!!!

I was trying to replace the bios chip in x98 air 3g but by mistake smd resistance near pin 1,2,3and 4 became damage and now device not start if some can help me to know the value of resistance by just measure there own than please help I will be very thanks full for that . Preparing environment: Making sure no admin priveledge is necessary
Install all drivers mentioned above in their standard directories, don't change anything.
Go to the following path:

Copy these files:

Then, go to your phone and enable USB debugging mode by going to

Copy the content of "TWRP-3.0.0-2_P8-lite_KIRIN_variant.zip" and paste it into the "rootingtools" folder.
Backing up: Even though the unlocking process is not going to wipe your data, atleast it didn't for me, make SURE you have everything that you need backed up from the phone's internal memory.
Backing up your SD card wouldn't hurt neither.
First things first, unlock your bootloader!

What you do is: fill in everything correctly and get the number at the end. It should be something in the words of:

(X resembles numbers, 16 numbers in total)
Copy the 16 numbers and go to the "rootingtools" folder on your desktop.
Hold the SHIFT key and right click inside the folder, then press "open command window here"
Now take your phone, power it off and power it on by holding volume DOWN and POWER.
You will get a white screen that says something like fastboot, and an android logo.
Plug your phone into the PC via USB cable.
In the command window write:

fastboot.exe oem unlock UNLOCKKEY
Where UNLOCKKEY represents the key you just copied, right clicking pastes the key in the command window.
It should return finished, so now your phone should be unlocked!
If you look at the screen, there will be text beneath the green Android logo saying "unlocked".
In this case, the operation has succeeded and you can go to the next step, else you can try again or post a reply.
Now write:

Now the phone will boot up like normal.
Close the command window.
Android 5.0:
If your android version right now is Android 5.0, and you actually WANT to root 5.0 or anything below 6.0 you can proceed with this step, if you have 6.0 or want to root 6.0, skip this step.
Since your android version is 5.0 you're blessed!
You can easily root, but before proceeding you might want to make a backup
Make sure you have about 8GB of free storage either on an SD card or internal memory first.

When done, press "reboot system", your phone will reboot.
Let it fully start up.
Then, run Kingoroot on your PC.
Meanwhile, download the "SuperSU" app from the Play store.
Press the big "ROOT" button in Kingoroot and press "cancel" on every app your phone tries to install.
That way you will not install Kingoroot but SuperSU.
It will say "succeeded".
Now you can go on your phone and open the SuperSU app.
It will ask for an upgrade, press OK and go further with the normal installation (not the TWRP/CWM installation).
Let it do its thing and restart your phone.
Install any root checker and see if you're rooted!

Paste the attached file in /system/etc/permissions
Press the search button and search for "gyro" without quotation marks.
Long press the only file that's there - menu and press properties.
Then change the permissions to 644, it should look like this O represents off, X represents on;

Set UID is off, Set GID is off, Sticky bit is off.
Reboot phone and download "Sensor box for Android" on the Play store and enjoy your gyroscope!
Now you can use Google Cardboard, though you have to install the APK...

As far as I know, the hack is for android 6.0 but there should be no problem in trying it out
It's just that it only worked for me on these FW

I think Huawei has this policy of using your Huawei ID for 2 weeks (2 weeks online time) before you can unlock it

Are the dorrect drivers installed, are you sure you copied the whole key?

you got to test everything. from changing usb port to changing usb cable. htc is a brand that has this problem alot. and until now there's no right answer.
search around a little.

Should I downgrade to the firmware B300 and then install the new firmware?

Local update option has been removed from Marshmallow, you must use *#*#2846579#*#* and go to sd card upgrade to further upgrade it

I am asking because im havin trouble unlocking bootloader. Nobody from Huawei is answering my email where I sent them all neccecary data, and when I go to this link It says there is a server problem. Either that or Im redirected to some site filled with japanese signs http://www.vmall.com/ and I dont know what to press
How do I unlock my bootloader?? What e-mail do I use to contact huawei about this matter?
