Bypass Exchange Security Settings on Note 5? - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I have a Note 3 at the moment and was able to bypass the exchange security settings using a custom ROM.
I'm buying a Note 5 and need to be able to bypass the exchange security settings on it as well. Just wondering how I can do this on the Note 5 with the least amount of stuffing around/customising my phone? I don't need any other fancy features at all - I really only use my phone for calls, messages, emails, Facebook and Snapchat.
Any help would be appreciated
Cheers

There is section called Q&A!

BUMP - just got a new Note 5 (in Australia).
Just wondering what the easiest method is to bypass exchange security? I'd like to keep my phone as stock as possible.
I heard the Nine app can bypass the settings but can't see anything online about this. I can see that it can make the PIN required for the app, rather than to unlock the phone altogether, but I want to get rid of the PIN/password altogether.
I don't mind using the Nine app, or normal Email app, I just want to keep the phone as stock as possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks

Anyone?

In my company you get fired if you get caught circumventing exchange security... True of most companies in my industry.
So can't help you there. Would be a dumb way to get fired.
Just use Nine and put in the pin... It really isn't that big of an inconvenience.

You can use mailwise which has an option to bypass exchange security. Plus it's a decent mail app.

Thanks for this! Works well. I had quit putting exchange on my phone because I hated the security. I resigned to just using chrome and our corporate web email.
I already use a fingerprint security on my phone but Outlook admins disabled the use SmartLock which is an oversight in my opinion. They don't let SmartLock but do allow me to keep my phone unlocked for up to 30 minutes. So bypassing exchange security and using my thumbprint with SmartLock (when connected to my Moto 360) is more secure IMO.
As a side note Wanam Xposed module had exchange bypass though I haven't used it in forever so not sure if it still has it.

Thanks guys, I tried Mailwise and Nine and didn't like them - I want to use the stock app.
Looks like I'll have to root + xposed module. Just wondering if I'll still be able to use Snapchat if I do this?
Cheers

As long as you login to snapchat before installing xposed then you shouldn't have any problems.
Snapchat won't login if it detects xposed, but does not check for xposed after you've already logged in.

Thanks mate. WHat about when you update Snapchat and have to login again?
I had issues recently when I updated Snapchat and it checked for root and wouldn't let me log in. I had to use snapprefs to get around it which was a hassle....

I'm on the latest snapchat with root/xposed and it hasn't asked me to log back in after updates. Though I have had it ask me to login and not work after an update, once. Just not in the past few months..

Only way I'm aware of is uninstalling the xposed module and reinstalling it again. Which is probably even more of a hastle than snapprefs.

[Q]Tap and Pay

Has anyone successfully got tap to pay working with google wallet? Under the nfc settings page it says that "No payment servcies are currently installed" despite me having the google wallet app both set up and installed on my phone. Thanks in advance!
I would suggest you remove it and set it up again. It does show up under NFC for me and works fine. I didn't have to do anything special.

Well, I figured it out. Turns out google just needs a photo ID from me before it will work.
Just curious... did you set it up before you first rooted? I'm not sure if it matters, but it might be necessary to install wallet before rooting. Could try unrooting and installing it.

I did try before rooting. The issue had nothing to do with root access; it was a matter of submitting documentation to google. Works great now!

"Good for Enterprise" maiil app on a rooted Nexus 6

Hello experts,
I wanted to know if anyone is currently using Good Mail app to access work emails on a rooted Nexus 6. I believe the pre-requisites mandated by the s/w is that the phone should 'NOT' be rooted. I also know that there is an xposed module that facilitates using the application on a rooted phone, along with a root cloak method. Before I try and fail and get blocked by my enterprise mail server, I wanted to know if anyone else is currently using a rooted phone to access the Good application? I am on stock rooted with xposed installed. No way I am going back.
Thanks
Nine is my absolute favorite. It's paid (I think like 10 bucks or something when I bought it) but it follows material design guidelines and works seamlessly with exchange accounts. It works fine on my crazy customized N6 (Dirty Unicorns, rooted, v4a, xposed, hellscore kernel, etc...). My favorite features are- application level security if you want meaning if they remote wipe your phone it doesn't actually remote wipe your phone- it just removes your account from the Nine app. You can also revert this back to wiping the entire phone if you would want. Also if your workplace requires an unlock code/pin to be able to set up your email- it can also bypass that if you want to have a regular swipe to unlock.
Mailwise would be an alternative recommendation, I used to use it a while ago and it worked fine on my rooted phone. They have a free version too I believe.
Thanks for the reply but I was seeking help on a slightly different topic. There is a product called Good for Enterprise which is used by corporate companies to provide work mail access on personal phones (as a replacement for Bberries). The thing is that the company mandates the phone to be non rooted for this to work. Now there is an xposed module that blocks the app from checking root status or something of the sorts that makes the Good app believe that the phone is un rooted. Some have success with it, while others have had issues. I wanted to know if there is anyone with Nexus 6 rooted and on Marshmallow that has success with using the Good For Enterprise mail app?
That all really depends on the it department. Take mine for example. It is set to look for root as well as xposed. Both which is not allowed.

[DISCUSSION] vmware boxer cannot be used with xposed

With the purchase of VMW the Boxer application are to presented the problem that now when you start the application shows us a notice that the app indicates that we can not use the application if you have installed the module Xposed, I hope you can find a solution to this problem, just as I will investigate possible solutions to share on this topic. Any help is welcome.
Basically we need a module that blocks VMware Boxer from finding any of the Xposed files. I have tried a lot of things but failed to even understand how the app goes about finding the Xposed.

Apologies for the late reply and my knowledge with this is very limited.
I do not know what is the process or what obfuscation methods are to be used. The maximum I had tried was an Xposed Module called Sudo Hide but it didn't work out. Uninstalling the Xposed Installer made no difference either. I also went about renaming most of the Xposed files (appending them with an X eg. Xposed.jar -> XXposed.jar) but it also had no effect. Not very clear on what else can be done to obfuscate this app completely from Xposed.

You can find the APK at http://www.apklinker.com/apk/boxer/boxer-email/vmware-boxer-3-9-0-55-android-apk-download/ It is 68 MB in size and hence unable to upload on here. So thought I would rather link you to it. Thanks
Any solution or idea for this?

I have not found something functional to solve this problem, I'm still researching options.
Have you tried using magisk and systemless Xposed? That way you can turn of Xposed when you're working with this app.

it's an email app which means it's running all the time
I have the same problem, still try to find the solution!!!
I experience this issue. I was excited to see boxer was purchased by vmware and anticipated stability fixes etc. When discovering that it refuses to run with xposed installed it was a huge letdown.
There should be an accept risk choice. Even my bank app works with rooted, but warns me.
Boxer was a great app until it got brought over by Vmware which in term own Airwatch mdm now. They have move boxes into their main stream mailbox so it will block any rooted or intrusive application

I am having the same issue, earlier it was boxer email, after updating it sucks.
Has anyone found a workaround for this? Just got a new phone and need exposed, had boxer on my last phone and really liked it, now it's one or the other but not both

Fingerprint account

Hello all,
Just wondering if there is anyway to create a different account base on the fingerprint.
Someone suggested kids mode but it does not work well.
I was wondering If there's an app that can do this. When ever my daughter gets on my phone and she puts in her fingerprint it opens up to her account without giving her access to my work email, apps, or work pictures.
Thank you

notification issues on my p30 pro

Hi guys
I have a persistent problem with my p30 pro. I get notifications very late or not at all only if I open the app (whatsapp, messenger, email etc) then I get all messages at once. Its very frustrating because I had some important ones sometimes. Is there any fix for this? Anyone having same problems at all?
Also after I cleaned up some bloatware, I am not able to log in my mobile banking app. Is there any package I have to install back?
Please help... Thank you very much.
Regards
Alex

As you have a chinese version of the phone and you installed the GMS(if you did for having Google services) separately, therefore your notifications won't work properly, because many apps notifications are GMS related and your phone might not be Google certified. The same problem is present on P40 / P40 Pro users that bought the phone without GSM preinstalled and tried (some of them managed to install it, some of then didn't) to make notifications work, but they are out of luck. There are some replacing apps for email or messages, but need testing.
Your mobile apps were working before removing bloatware? If your answer is yes, remember what you removed (if you used my guide in order to remove, you can see there the way to reinstall the apps WITHOUT Factory Reset your device) and reinstall them using ADB.
Cheers,

Yes my mobile banking was working before the bloatware clean. I am trying to figure out which one affected the app and reinstalling them back as we speak. Hope I get the right one back.

Will definitely do buddy. Thanks
I was thinking to do a factory reset and start fresh again but realized that the mobile banking still lets me use the mobile token only to sign payments. Reinstalling the bank app requires a bank visit in person, for them to authorize the app with a code(stupid if you ask me, should be done by phone as well).

BTW if I install for example Evie launcher and use adb to remove huawei launcher would it work after reboot ? And if I mess things up would I fix them with factory reset ? Just don't want to brick the phone.

Awkward about the bank app (which bank is it)? Can't you do it over the internet, regardless the lockdown period we're on? Like they do it when you want to create an new acount (videocall, you ID's...)?
If you remove the default launcher, the chances to get errors are pretty big . And YES, if you mess up things on it, you can Factory Reset the device and all is back, like when you unboxed your phone.
