Bootloop fix without adb or recovery - Moto X Q&A

Hey guys
So, long story short, i ended up in a bootloop after trying to install cm13 (it seems the problem is i forgot to wipe dalvik cache after flashing rom), my phone doesn't get past the manufacterer's logo si i can´t use adb and every time i try to get in to the recovery, it sticks on the TWRP logo for a while and then starts over rebooting, i can never get past the TWRP screen. The only place where it doesn't start rebooting again is at fastboot menu. Also, i read that i could always use RSD Lite, but despite i wouldn´t like to, i haven´t been able to get RSD to recognize my phone.
I don´t now is there is any obvious solution, i'm kind of a noobie.
Any help is appreciated, thank you very much

Flash a stock ROM, preferably LP and see if it works, this is done through fastboot, look around.

[Q] Interesting boot loop problem.

2 nights ago I thought I would have a go at installing ULTIMATE ROM 3.0. I have flashed many Roms on my Galaxy S before and not had a problem yet. I have ClockworkMod Recovery 2.5.1.0 installed.
However, this time- something went wrong. I don't think the installation completed properly. When I tried to reboot the system (to go back into my previous ROM) I wasn't able to. The Samsung logo appeared before the phone booted back into Recovery mode.
I tried to re-flash my previous working update.zip but had problems. I wasn't able to properly re-flash as the Installation would abort for various reasons. After doing cache clearing and data/factory reset I still had no luck. I resorted to reformatting the sdcard. Still didn't solve the flashing problem.
Throughout the whole time I was able to adb into the phone, browse the file system and I could push files on to it and take files off. But Kies wouldn't recognise the phone and Odin isn't able to complete a transfer to the phone (not sure why).
Today, I am able to successfully flash update.zip files (at least, that's what it looks like) but the phone ALWAYS boots into ClockwordMod recovery.
I am fast running out of ideas. Does anyone have any suggestion?
How can I tell if my ROMs are really 'there' but I can't access them because ClockworkMod is preventing them from booting?
hmmm... me too.. stuck in a loop, that keeps going back to the CWM recovery menu, and no matter what i do, keeps going back to it... cant even get to the download screen to flash (again).... here i was thinking no matter what happens when installing custom roms, i can always flash to my stable secure rom, but not this time... need some software that can perform surgical operations, any suggestions?

Thats too bad guys, and i m sorry to hear that news.I would like to havean answer but i dont...
The fact is that since most people in this forum use some custom roms, and all of us think the same, that we can always go back,so it would be great if you give some more details about what happened to you,and mybe why it went wrong, and it would be even better if one of the BIG guys would give some explanation about this...
I already thinking of not updating my rom anymore, dot want to end up in looping too,so lets see if someone will find something.Good luck guys..
By the way,i didnt get it right,CWM recovery cannot load your backup????
I just got an idea, but not sure if or how it would work or not.
Since you can push file with ADB,if soeone made a clean backup with his CWM (o e mail, contacts, setting saved) and send it to you,so that you log in with CWM recovery and flash that ???
Just an idea..maybe stupid dont know...
Its not very clear if youve tried this already but cant you just boot into recovery through adb? or does that not work either?

htc one recovery bootloop help needed!

I installed insert coin 4.4 and now I have a completely bootloop. No os installed. Recovery shows for one second then goes away back into bootloop. Any help is appreciated. I have reflashed multiple recoveries and as far as my knowledge takes me I know if I can't get into recovery much more knowledge is needed. Thank you so much xda for any help.

This happened to me when I tried to update ARHD rom from a 4.3 base to a 4.4 base. If you can still get your phone into boot loader, put it into fast boot and connect it to your computer. Then I went into terminal and flashed CWM. Then you clear the cache. After that, I was able to restore from one of my backups. I hope this helped
P.S.
If you try installing a 4.4 rom again make sure you are using the latest TWRP

Thank you. I know fastboot is set up by toolkit. Guess I'm going to have to install adb manually and try to figure out how to wipe cache. hopefully will get it fixed up.... Thanks.
I know I can get my phone into bootloader... So there's hope!
PS. I'ts really as simple as deleting cache through fastboot?!

thanks for the help, but I just realized I cannot get ADB to recognize my device. It only recognized my device through one of the toolkit's drivers I installed. The toolkit unfortunately does not have a option to fastboot wipe cache. I do not have my computer I originally rooted my htc one on. I think its time to call HTC warrenty; I have spent countless hours with multiple guides setting up ADB with windows 8 and toolkits that don't have the option fastboot wipe. I even tried minimal ADB all you have to do is install but nothing will recognize my phone. Thanks for attempted help
PS i have tried multiple computers with windows 8 I have never been able to set up ADB successfully on win8

[Q] How to install recovery in a phone which can't start

Hello everyone.
I don't know what happened but my device entered in the infamous bootloop. I tried to erase cache, partition, reinstall a rom, install a different rom and nothing.
My true problem is that last night I made a horrible mistake: I erased everything including my SD card, which contained the data for boot to recovery. Right now I can only see the SONY logo when I power up my device and nothing else.
I tried to install recovery via fastboot flash boot boot.img but I can't keep my device in fastboot. I mean, I connect my device and hold Volume Up but after a few seconds it continuous to the SONY logo and stays there forever.
Am I missing something? What can I do to reintall a recovery if I can't access my phone data?
Thank you.
How to install recovery in a phone which can't start [Solved]

Good you managed to fix it and posted it back here with a solution. So few people do it. On the side note, link you provided does not work, please fix if you can

Bricked after installing twrp, any ideas?

Hey, was just setting up my mi5 for custom roms. Got the bootloader unlocked, then installed TWRP via fastboot as per the instructions here (https://twrp.me/devices/xiaomimi5.html).
After I got into TWRP I made a quick backup of the image, and then set the phone to reboot. Now its in a bootloop, flashing the mi logo (and bootloader unlock on the bottom). Doesn't turn off, doesn't do anything when plugged into pc, fastboot reboot doesn't do anything.
Any ideas? Didn't think I had done anything wrong (done this kind of thing a couple times before).
Cheers!
EDIT: Hang on, managed to get into fastboot, I guess I should be able to sort things out from there? What should I aim to do. I can also get into recovery. Still won't boot into system anymore though.

Which twrp version are you using?
Did you actually flash any custom rom or do you try to start miui?
Did you change any partition?
Something similar happened to me one time. I solved it by doing the root right after installing the twrp. And magically started my rom.

Mi A2 Bricked, Solved

Hi, I need some help with my Mi A2.
I tried to install the RR Rom and was already struggeling in the beginning to get twrp up and running, after I got twrp running Ive got, while trying to install the RR rom (yes I did wipe everything that needed to be btw) error code 1 . So I tried to just shut my phone off and retried the installation after being back in twrp. and it did sort of install, I wasnt getting any error this time but after rebooting or atleast trying to I was stuck in a bootloop. soooo, I went back into twrp and tried wiping everything except internal storage and did an factory reset. but now fastboot mode wont let me use any commands for example "fastboot boot twrp.img" it just responds with "command write failed" or something like that. and when trying to boot into the "system" I get an blackscreen with a smal text in the top left corner saying "press any key to shutdown".
I hope someone can help me I tried now for hours to get anything running.
as a side-note I am not that new to flashing roms but, I have no idea what I screwed up this time.
Thanks for anyone that tries to help!
Edit: Using MiFlash and downloading the stock room from Xiaomi worked.
