I want to know if anyone has tried various Kernels ( and custom ROM combo) with their Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge & Gear VR Innovator? I'm wanting to know if it's justified to root my S6 edge in an attempt to help with the overheating issue. I start getting the overheating message within about 20-30 min's of use.
I've been using TheraPearl Pals freezer ice packs with a couple of rubber bands to attach to my Gear VR to help with the overherating (see image below). With these (I have a few in the freezer) I get a little over 1 hour use per ice pack. They are small and light and really don't add much to the weight of the Gear VR. I just don't like having to rely on ice packs as a solution to the S6 overheating issue.
I would love any thoughts from the XDA members to this.

P.S. for S6 and S6 Edge that is.

We need all apks that manage it, then we need a framework to run it and third we need a custom kernel that integrates this function (absolutely impossible until Samsung release source code of S7 kernel). So first we have to wait for Samsung to release the source code.

its cant be in a app but you can try noble rom that include all of that
ps. its dont have always on cus no one succeded porting it.
