Spare digitizers on ebay... are the good?

Hello, since the screen (digitizer) has several annoying scratches I want to change it. I've searched on ebay and I've seen many cheap sellers for hongkong or china... Are those items as good as the original ones?

I purchased a new lcd and digitizer for my touch pro from ebay. I know its for a different phone but i cant see any difference between the diamond and touch pro other than the screen shape. (i have also had a diamond) It was £25 for the pair of them
To be totaly honest i cant tell the difference from the original. The touch works perfectly. The lcd screen is also equally as good.
As i tip i would get the digitizer and lcd as one unit, i have replaced several digitzers and lcd screens on alot of phones and it can be tricky seperating the 2. For the few extra quid in my opinion its not worth the hassle, or the risk of damaging one.

eBay Screens are good IMO
I have purchased a couple of Digiter / Screen combos from eBay. So far I have not had a problem with any of them. One that I had ordered was from New York {HP iPaq}, & the other I ordered was from HK {T-Wing/Herald}. I just bought a used Diamond & it has a small scratch on the screen. This is annoying the Hell outta me so, I looked on eBay at screens. I usually try to find a true OEM replacement. I think that I found that @ this eBay page: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260468938303&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT . This is the best deal that I have been able to find. I know you're not in the US but maybe this helps anyway.

I bought a digitizer with lcd from ebay. The seller is from china or HK. The digitizer working good but the lcd quality abit lousy. display kinda dark compared to the original lcd. perhaps the pixel not same as the ori.
Anyway, if you think of just getting the digitizer, shud be fine. however you must be assure that you can replace it as it kinda difficult to change. unless you very confident on you soldering skill.

Kaiser LCD into Touch Pro?

My Touch Pro screen has been dead for a while now and I just realized that I have a slow Kaiser right here and the screen looks to be the same size...
Of course the lcd that ships within the Touch Pro is a lot nicer..
anyway, would I be able to take the LCD & Digitizer out of the Kaiser and use it with the Touch Pro?
I'll be posting this in the Raphael (Touch Pro) forum too because otherwise I need to know of a recommended website that has a lcd/digitizer at the lowest price.. ebay has some at 30 that are lcd and digitizer but ya never know if it will actually work good!

EDIT: thought i should state the obvious...kaiser has a QVGA 320x240 screen and Touch Pro has a VGA 640x480 screen. even though the physical size is the same, sadly electronics are not so simple. theres a lot more to these things than just plain physical dimensions. go for the replacement part(s) from ebay or other online suppliers as suggested (most likely) in the Touch Pro WIKI.

there are both digitisers and LCDs in ebay ... but be careful when shopping there
also I've seen a few other websites offer LCDs or Digitizers or both but they were like 2-3 times the price,

what is the difference between a lcd and a digitizer?

the digitizer is on top of the LCD display
when you touch your phone you touch the digitizer and it digitizes your finger's input and that's what you can scratch really.
since the LCD is below there are different problems with it - I think there can be burned pixels, etc. but there can't be any scratches.
3-4 months ago a pair of LCD+digitizer+screwdrivers was round $30-50 and I've just checked it - prices are the same right now
by checking for the digitizers right now it looks like they are going round $7-$11
I would personally buy from one of the $10 sellers with good feedback and lots of items sold similar to this one (first result in my ebay page though )

HD2 T-Mobile US (1GB) - LCD+Digitizer GLASS Replacement Part

Hi to all,
Before you ask, yes!, I did use the search and found some related posts to my issue, but a little outdated and I read so many things that I think I'm more confused.
My HD2 works without problems with the broken screen...but unless i have tape on it, i I'll cut my fingers...so after almost a year i decided it's time to repair it!
For that, I WANT to buy an LCD+Digitizer Glass Replacement (because i hear some are made of plastic). Because there are at least 3 different versions (so i heard) of HD2 LCD and hundreds of listings on ebay, I'm afraid to buy the wrong part.
Correct me if I'm mistaken:
There are 2 types of connection, solder or socket type. Mine is definitely socket (60H00300), correct?
Every socket version (60H00300) is the one that the LCD is better, right?
If i purchase any LCD+Digitizer combo that states as "for HD2 T-Mobile T8585 solderless/version 2/socket" will it be ok? Even without the T-Mobile logo on top? ...I ask this because I know for a fact that the US T-Mobile version has a slightly larger screen/digitizer!
Plus, I would also appreciate if someone pointed out an original screen replacement (meaning scratch resistance glass digitizer) that i could buy with confidence! :highfive:
Here's my sad HD2...i had to put tape on it, or the top right corner would fall in pieces..

Your TMOUS LCD & Digitizer is 100% same size as any other model HD2.
size difference is in the casing below the buttons & is about 1.5mm to allow for different antenna setup on mainboard.
Any 300 type will fit & work fine but you are indeed correct in assuming issues on quality & materials used.
Buying complete LCD/Digitizer does not mean you will get better quality parts & to be honest it maybe worse as the quality of tape used on some of these is poor.
If your LCD is fine I would make the effort to remove the Digitizer & thus just replace digitizer.
Can be done by warming it up with a quality hair-dryer & using a few new razor blades to loosen the bond, time & care is the key here.
Tapes for rebuild can be found on eBay from poland with worldwide shipping.

Trying to find original is a pain & high cost for possibly no gain ...

The main reason for me to buy the LCD+Digitizer is that i cant afford to be without my HD2 for more than a couple of days...and if I mess up ending the relationship between the LCD and its digitizer....I may end up with two (or three) broken "hearts"!
I'll risk in buying an LCD+Glass Digitizer "300 type" (+film protector) and then attempt to recover the original LCD for a "future repair" as you suggest!

my display was broken, but have worked for a year or so.
now it is frozen/ unresponsive and i have purchased a full display.
just found a very easy way to replace the whole display in just 3 minutes by accessing it from the front side..
i am not yet allowed to post the link, but if you google this

That been set up for the video as you can see it been off before & the chassis the lcd is bonded to is clean of all bonding tape :-/
Also original has signal interference tape runing down sides across all 3 layers.
also if you heat the front first thing to seperate is the digi from LCD as the lcd to mid chassis is a strong bond.
Best way is popping them out of rear cover, fitting a pre built lcd/digitizer is not hard, just use quality adhesive to hold lcd to centre chassis & buy pre cut black foam tape for the top & bottom digi glass edges or rebuild is next to pointless without this done well.
I've done a good 30 odd HD2 screen & mainboards & no way I could do it to my standard via that video.

Replacement screen advice

Hello i have cracked my z3c screen completely. I search around and find out that it cost around 120 euro for a new screen but i think doesnt worth it now, especially when phone worth less than 300.
Does Anyone experience any of those non genuine screens from aliexpress? I had use one before on my lg g2 and it was great except from the brightness but i can live with it. It costs only 30 euro.
Please share if you have any good or bad experience from non-genuine screens replacements of sony z3 compact

Right, off brand LCDs are not as bright as stock. But if you did not break the LCD, and just broke the touch screen digitizer glass on top, you will only need to replace the digitizer.
