Which one is faster? Fire 7 (2015) or Nexus 7 (2012)? - Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
i want to buy a second tablet. I already use an amoazon fire 7 (2015) with SlimLP.
If i would buy an old nexus 7 (2012 - 1st Gen) Tablet - which one would be faster?
Nexus 7 has better display (1280x800) and there are Android 6 MM Roms out already.
Is here someone who knows both tablets and can help me with my decision?
On pictures nexus 7 looks like the same big size as fire 7 is - very thick and big black frame around the display. Is this nearly the same?

For me the Amazon one feels a whole lost faster, the N7 2012 is a great nexus tablet but feels sluggish at times. I've tried with various ROMs, but then got this instead. Just make sure you root and change the launcher, the Amazon one isn't great.

First thing i did with my amazon fire was installing TWRP and flashing SlimLP.
I was thinking, nexus 7 (2012) would be much faster than fire. And now you can get used nexus 7 for the same price like new amazon fire.
Pro nexu 7:
- GPS
- higher display resolution
- Android 6 MM

[Q] The Tab S 10.5" or the Nexus 9?

So I am looking for a new tablet and I read that some people are not impressed with the nexus 9. I have always been a fan of the quality of samsung though. They seem to have a premium feel to it.
So my question si this? Is the Tab S 10.5" Still a very good choice? Even over the specs of the Nexus 9?
I would never get the first 64bit tablet. Let other suckers live through the year of bugs its going to cause with apps.
Tab pro: OLED screen. Also bigger screen if that's what you want.
Tab con: samsung bloat ware. Can't root without voiding warranty.
Nexus pro: it's a nexus. Pure android. Lollipop on day one. Better processor.
Nexus con: Ars and android police, the two reviews I've seen so far, are lukewarm. Built not great, lousy camera.
The tab built feels fine to me. I got it for the OLED screen. Ideal tablet would be tab body and screen with snap dragon or tegra cpu and nexus software.
Tab S with CyanogenMod, it flies...
Nexus 9.this tablet lags.
I noticed that the price of the 10.5 Tab S dipped down to $400 last night on Amazon. I was mildly tempted, but the lack of updates when I owned the original Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy Player 4.0 burned me enough to want to avoid Samsung if I can. Also, the hardware buttons are a turn off if they stay illuminated like they did on my Galaxy Player and I would prefer a 4:3 aspect ratio.

i would check out the link above user are reporting that there nexus 9 the back is getting hot
i was thinking about getting nexus 9 but now am passing am now planing on getting ipad air 2 or samsung S 10.5 i may get the samsung S 10.5
Yeah reading more reviews the nexus 9 is just not good for the money. Disappointing.

[Q] Moto G or Asus Memo pad?

Currently My 2 options for purchase is the Moto g 1st, or 2nd gen, or the asus memo pad me572. Which is better. P:S: I believe in the theory bigger is better but in this case 5 inch is fine but does the moto g provide the speed i need since i am going to be getting rid of my current device very soon. the Nexus 7 2012. The N7 is very slow by today's standard and with only 1gb of ram multitaking is almost impossible. I would prefer to keep this device for up to 2 years, maybe 1 1/2 but for a while. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Leaving Note 4

Have had note 4 for 22 months - have had to change the note 4 twice - One was cracked lcd (with a trivial fall) and second was NAND failure. Working out the math - the phone and its replacements (including the insurance excess) has cost me £650.
Its a brilliant phone, and worked flawlessly till android 6.0.1 came along and have had a note 2 - which needed replacing aswell.
Since its time for upgrade, id love to have Note 7 but at a price premium of £750 - I dont think so.
Will take a punt with OnePlus3 - Its half the price and has pretty much the same internals. For what i have been using the OnePlus3 easily trumps
So why this topic? Just to let us know you have a OnePlus 3 now?
Well congrats and bye then.

i'd suggest you getting ZTE Axon 7 for 450 EUR,
it has QHD resolution (like note 4, vs FHD @ OP3), with dolby stereo speakers (that users are raving about).
also it has QC3 charging and you'll be able to use your QC2 charger from note 4 for quickcharge.
OP3 has incompatible proprietary charging.
i'm personally still holding to Note 4, waiting for the Android 7 ROM.

nah, many users love version 5...
i decided to wait for 7.
2 months ago i had hopes that Note 7 could be a viable upgrade, but with it's insane price, list of problems, and curved screen, i'm somewhat forced to stay on Note 4, or look for other optons
(like ZTE Axon 7).
let's wait for Android 7 ROM and see how it goes.
guys ! MI5 or OnePlus 3 ?
Zte axon 7

Why not the Snapdragon S7 shown here? Price still to high?

What phone are planning on buying when your Nexus4 eventually stop working ?

Will you go with other (newer) nexus, pixel or maybe some Chinese replacement ?
my two cents:
what i learn about android is that you can own a really piece of sh*t "smarthphone" but with a custom rom it becomes a useful device...
i'm not comparing flagships with entry level (it's ridiculous) but i had own an LG optimus ONE p500 with cyanogenmod and it run great and now nexus 4 with lineage os.
my next device is gonna be a entry level devices with a custom rom... xiaomi redmi 4x seems to be the right one to me.

I suggest you to buy an android one supported device, 2 major updates and 3 years of security patches... The xiaomi mi a1 is relatively known atm, also the BQ aquaris x2 (pro) will launch on 9th of May and Nokia (6 in example) has a whole set of android one devices in various price ranges...
Android One is definitely the way to go for me, guaranteed software support is important, especially after owning a Oneplus2 and 3t as my last devices with dropped support to nearly zero after just 14 months...

Actially i changed 4 nexus 4s. I also have nexus 5 which needs repair. I bought from ebay damaged nexus 5 to repair mine. After nexus 4 i'll stick to nexus 5 for couple years. I do not like nexus 6 and 6p. 5x is a disaster with it's bootloop problem. maybe in 2020 i'll buy pixel 2 5"model. I do not like spending more then 100$-110$ on a phone. I bought this exact nexus 4 which i am writing this post feom exactly for 21 $. It's almost free hardware and it runs android 8.1 oreo and sailfiah os thanks to xda. That is why i like this device. Every alternative os runs on it. Firefox os, ubuntu touch, sailfish...
