[Half Review][Case] Ballistic SG Series for Nexus S 4G! 7/3/11

Alright guys so I have a half review for everyone. Due to me not being able to find my cable for my camera, I have pictures taken from my 4G so no pictures right now with it in the case. Will have some of those shortly! Enjoy.

Most likely it will. It's labeled as the 4G so don't blame anything on me! It fits awesome! It adds bulk but no more than any Seidio case. I think the protection is better than Seidio. The fit is perfect and snug. I can't do a review tonight but I will try and find my camera to do one for this weekend or tom/Friday.

I would throw it around if it were the HC Series but the SG Series is less hardcore. I had the HC Series on my EVO and dropped from about 8 feet onto broken up concrete with no problem multiple times. This seems to offer plenty of protection though.

Fits the pocket pretty good for a heavy duty case. Nothing worse than any other silicone case. I shouldn't say silicone but it's fairly easy in and out. That's what she said?

Thanks for letting me know about this case. I purchased the black one and it DOES fit my Nexus S (T-Mobile). The BodyGuardz I have on the back of my Nexus S seems to help the fit but I did contact Ballistic CS and they told me it would fit.
I was looking for a replacement for Otterbox (this looked so clean and probably would have been the best case too bad they didn't make it) and I'm liking this and the Aegis.

My Ma has one of those (well, very similar to that for the Desire HD). I just don't like the pink ... afraid of catching "The Gay"
I'm just joking, pink just isn't my colour.

the mouse is cool. i swap mice all the time, so haven't had too much use with it.

Nice pics. Not with Tmo for coupon though..

Nice looks a little different from sprint one. Sprints has the whole back textured, the bottom is smooth and glossy, and the sides are a smooth matte.

I also have this one and yes it slides in/out pocket well.
Feels thin but will protect from drop/scratches and the gray color goes well with the Note's Titanium color.
So far it's maintaining it's shape and no scuff/scratches. It's a keeper for myself.
(just noticed it's $18.65 on amazon)

Oh good ****. They finally updated the site. (i work for tmo)
Those diamond cases are awesome. I used one on my s2 forever. The gray part is rubber, the white is plastic. One piece design similar to the Speck candyshell.

If you work at T-Mo...do you know if the 30% Foursquare thing still works? That's assuming these things exist in stores yet. I thought I saw someone say they used it a few days ago, but the only thing I can find are links to a promo from last year.

Nothing special but thought I'd share. Loving it. Just arrived from Hong Kong today...it's a very tight fit to the phone and provides great shell protection to the back and ends of the phone. It cost 12 bucks with free shipping and came with an anti reflective screen protector. Shipped in about 10 days.

Looks similar to an OSIR one I used to have for my iPhone.

I'm a huge fan of anything carbon fiber. But 12 bucks? That seems a little cheap for something made out of CF, doesn't it?
EDIT: It's plastic with a CF finish. Still cool. But now you've got me looking for a case actually made of carbon fiber lol

I will. Haven't found one yet, all of the ones I've found are plastic with a CF finish. I'll keep looking though

I've read that real carbon fiber can interfere with cell signals, so you might want to keep that in mind.

CF case for the M7, nothing at all for the M8 but skins. Also, this particular case isn't on their website anymore. So I dunno. But maybe CaseMate will release a real CF case for the M8 at some point or another

They did make a S7 Edge case, its just not out yet its very tempting despite the $110 price tag. I was disappointed with the feel of TUMI's case, so this one might take its place.

I have been looking at the Dbrand for the s7 Edge but was concerned with added thickness etc. It look promising in your pics. Any chance I can get a side view shot just to see how much thickness the skin adds? That would help me decide so thanks in advance.

All vinyl skins are about the same thickness which is ~0.22mm from the couple that I just measured. The thickness is so minimal that you will not notice it at all.

Which screen protector is that? I'm struggling get one to stay on mine with the case. Someone recommend the IQ Shield on another thread.

Thanks for the photos looks nice in black too, someone commented on my review of this case that the case caused swirl type scratches on the back of his phone. Anything you have noticed in regards to this? I haven't had any scratches.

Glad to hear it and thanks for coming back to my question

I have/had the this case as well. The back of the case is more of a transparent matted look/texture. The case CAN be scratched. As for swirls on the case, unless you're spinning your case on a rough surface, I don't see how it can swirl. But yes, the back surface on the case can be scratched.
As for the case actually scratching the phone? The only way that is possible if some type of debris gets between the phone and the case. I used the case for about 2 weeks and did not have any issues with the case causing any type of scratches/swirls on the phone.

He said it right....over time the case will age and get scratches however for a diminutive case it has decent impact protection.
