I need help with xposed - Xposed General

I have xposed 3.0 (the one I need for the Amplify app). But when I go to modules, it says "The latest version of Xposed is currently not active. Did you install the framework and reboot?". It even said that when I installed the latest one.. Anytime I go to Framework, It says "Installation is only possible manually via recovery for now". Basically, I need someone to guide me so I can do this. This is way too complicated for me. I have a Sprint Galaxy S4 (L720T). Android version 5.0.1. I have lollipop.
If there's anything else you guys need to know, just ask.
I've been trying to get this app for some time now. I'm rooted.

You need to install the flashable zip from the main xposed page. Make sure it's the right one for your processor and Android version.

Framework "not (yet) compatible..."

Hi folks. Just up graded to the G4 from the G2. Had my G2 rooted and working like a dream. After finally understanding how to root my Sprint ZV6, I installed xposed installer and under the Framework section got the following message: "Xposed is not (yet) compatible with Android SDK version 22 or your processor architecture (arm64-v8a)."
As I am only familiar with Xposed for installing root apps, can anyone tell me if there is another alternative I can use until this compatibility issue is resolved? Thanks in advance
What version of Xposed are you trying to install, and what files and methods are you using? Please be very specific.
I'm facing the same problem. I have a Moto G 2013 with NX ROM (based on 6.0.1). I flashed xposed v79-sdk23-arm through TWRP

As I mentioned before, I've rooted a G2 (2 different phones) in the past with no issues at all. I seem to be at a loss now, however.
This time, what I did after root was immediately install a version of Xposed Installer found here. Then, searching for Xposed Framework on Play (and not even thinking about coming here), I installed an app called Installer. It recognized Xposed Installer. When I open Xposed Installer I get the error mentioned in the 1st message.
I have since uninstalled both Installer and Xposed Installer & I did not get the version of Xposed. I do remember that it had a word like 'experimental' or something similar next to the number.
Not quite sure what you mean by 'methods' and no other files or APK's have been attempted until I get this figured out.
I'm kinda thinking either the Installer app was interfering with Xposed Installer, the Xposed Framework should be installed before it's Installer, or both. I also just spent a few minutes on a Framework thread trying to figure which one I need. Needless to say, I didn't come up with an answer.
Please let me know if some other info will help. Thanks

You didn't tell me what version of Xposed you're trying to use. I needed a version number. That's why I asked you to be specific. That will make all the difference in the world.
Since you didn't answer my question, I'm going to make some assumptions. First, is that you're trying to install version 2.6 or 2.7. These are old versions that only work with KitKat (Android v 4.4, SDK 19) or older.
Second, I'm going to assume you're running Lollipop, specifically Android v 5.1 (SDK 22) based on your previous error message.
Third, I'm going to assume you haven't tried installing Xposed beta 3.0, or flashing framework zip files through a custom recovery or other flashing method.
Fourth, I'm going to assume that you haven't read the last several pages of the official Xposed announcement thread, or the first two posts of the "Xposed for Lollipop" discussion thread.
If all these assumptions are correct, then you need to go read those two threads I mentioned, and re-read them until you understand them. Then you should know everything you need in order to install Xposed correctly (and enough to make an informed decision whether you want to proceed), and how to recover if it doesn't work properly (because you can corrupt system files and get stuck in a bootloop if things don't work).
If you pay as much attention to those threads as you did to my question, you will be better off abandoning your desire to install Xposed.
I'm facing the same issue on CM11 ROM KK for Samsung galaxy ace 3 gt s7257r LTE.
Tried to install 2.7 e1 and few versions before this but none work...
Any suggestions?

Recent security updates for Android KitKat are responsible for the fact that Xposed is no longer working on KitKat devices. Check this thread for a solution.

Framework red message won't go away, Do I need to flash something?

Hey guys,
I'm sorry if someone already posted this question or if I'm in the wrong area, Hopefully I am though.
So I rooted my galaxy S7 basic SM-G930V, It has Marshmallow 6.0.1. If you need more technical information let me know I am not the greatest with android devices yet, I'm trying \tho.
Anyways I'm trying to install some of the modules available through the xposed installer, but It's telling me "The latest version of Xposed is currently not active. Did you install the framework and reboot"?, and then when I click on that part of the app it says "The Xposed Framework is not installed. Please Download the latest ZIP file from XDA and flash it manually via recover. "
I don't have a clue how to flash it via recovery, I know the hold down on the volume up/down/home/power to get those things going I also have Odin3 and sorta know how to use that, but EVERY video I watch has people with TWRP or CWN as their recovery option, and this is where I AM COMPLETELY lost. I downloaded twrp, tried flashing things from the app, and it didn't fix the xposed installer in any way, I tried rebooting, but I never get that 8 button menu that everyone has in their videos for TWRP. The menu I'm talking about is the recovery one where you can just hit Install, go to downloads, select the desired file and then flash it.
If someone could give me a nice step by step guide 1,2,3,4,5 type of thing with LINKS to working downloads, not assuming I know anything, because at this point I don't know what I know anymore, that would be completely awesome! Thanks, I really want this framework to work I just don't have a clue how to get the installer working.:/ Thanks!

XPOSED Framework Install - Galaxy S4 SCH-I545 (OF1) Flashfire

I've been reading thousands of forum entries on how to install the xposed framework for my device and I can't seem to get it. They all end the same way -- stuck at the Verizon logo screen.
I am using a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 on stock Lollipop (5.0.1). I only have the stock bootloader thanks to it being locked before I laid hands on the device, but I do have Flashfire, Root, SuperSU. Each time I fail, I use ODIN to flash I545VRUGOF1_I545VZWGOF1_I545VRUGOF1_HOME.tar and try again.
I have tried using a deodexed rom by flashing the above with ODIN, then using Flashfire to OTA update: I545_OF1_Stock_Rooted_Deodexed_ROM.zip
Next, install the XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk
I then tried flashing:
xposed-v71-sdk21-arm-arter97-V6-snapdragon
xposed-v75-sdk21-arm-arter97-snapdragon
xposed-v86-sdk21-arm
They all result in freezing on the Verizon logo during boot.
I can flash xposed-sdk21-arm-20150430-arter97 on to the deodexed rom and it will work, but the Xposed Installer says it's not the most recent and all modules yield the same error:
This module requires a newer XposedBridge version (30) and thus cannot be activated.
Then I try with the stock rom (odexed).
I can flash:
xposed-v71-sdk21-arm-arter97-V6-snapdragon
xposed-v75-sdk21-arm-arter97-snapdragon
xposed-v86-sdk21-arm
Without a crash; So long as the XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk is not installed. If I install the XposedInstaller then try to flash, it hangs on the Verizon logo during boot.
Finally, if I flash the zips first, then reboot and install the XposedInstaller it will yield me the same result of not the most recent version and I get the requires newer bridge for all modules.
Because it's an S4 there are hundreds of forums and guides, but I can't find one that applies to me. That makes me either the worst internet researcher in the world -- or I'm missing something so obvious that it's embarrassing...well, humiliating.
Can anyone offer a suggestion? ...and yes, I've read every read only forum to the last line and every XDA Lollipop forum. I've reflashed my phone almost two dozen times trying different suggestions with absolutely no luck.
I was having similar issues trying to get xposed on 5.0.1.
Long story short I gave up and flashed 5.1.1 onto my Note 4 and used wanam's custom xposed framework.
Galaxy S4
I don't believe there is a stock 5.1 firmware for the Galaxy S4. More importantly, I have to believe you can install Xposed on the S4. I just hate feeling like I'm missing something so simple!!

I have a i545 with locked boot loader I used flashfire to flash XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4 and xposed-v85.0-samsung-5.0.x-sdk21-test-by-dkcldark.zip and it has been working fine for me, I thought my phone was froze on the Verizon splash screen on the first restart so I pulled the battery and tried starting the phone again and it started like normal

That went faster than I expected. Going to give it a flash now.
Well, thank you for the effort.
It flashed very quickly and then rebooted without a problem, but the Xposed Installer still shows, "The Xposed framework is not installed. Please download the latest ZIP file from XDA and flash it manually via recovery." and all the modules say, "..requires a newer XposedBridge version (30) and thus cannot be activated".
I don't suppose you'd be willing to use FlashFire to make a full backup (minus your cache, of course) to share?

Could you provide the steps you used to achieve this? Thanks!
Please explain how to do this.
Hello.
Can anyone explain the steps to install Xposed framework on the Samsung Galaxy S4 SCH-i545, rooted with stock ROM 5.0.1? I found and downloaded the two files noted in krusherkills123's post, but Flashfire only shows the XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4 under "Flash firmware package" where it brings up a blank "Partitions" screen and no options.
I used Flashfire to flash the other file, xposed-v85.0-samsung-5.0.x-sdk21-test-by-dkcldark.zip, which I hated to do since I have no idea what it actually does. Since I don't know what it does, I can't confirm that flashing it was successful.
Any help would be appreciated.
Same question here, rooted Verizon S4 I545VRSGPL1, can I install xposed? This is stock rom, rooted with kingroot then cleaned to use SuperSU
People have done with OF1, not sure about PL1, but they are not far apart
Thx!

Help needed. How to flash xposed framework on Android TV Box?

Currently I am using mibox 3 pro android tv box, but there is no TWRP/CWM recovery for it. If I directly write the framework to system, then system stops running. Are there any suggestions about this issue? Thank you.
Problem solved. Using FireFlash to flash the framework.
I guess this is kind of a self-asking and answering thread. Haha.
Question about your Xposed Installation on Android TV Box
NOTE: If there is anyone else out there who has successfully installed Xposed Framework on an Android TV (NOT Shield because it's 4x the cost of many other boxes), can you please chime in? I don't need a powerful box, I just need to be able to leverage a few of the Xposed modules.
***
Hello. I know this thread is a little old, but did you get this to work? Were you able to load the MIBox 3 with Xposed framework and install modules even WITHOUT recovery? If so, can you please try to explain your process?
I just tried to install the framework on a different box using FireFlash. It indicated that the install worked correctly, but I could not access Xposed (via the apk app). The app simply indicated that the framework was not installed.
Also, if possible, can you please describe your box (processor, Android version, etc.)? Which framework did you flash (x86, Arm32, Arm 64)? And did most of the modules work?
Sorry for all the questions, but I (and probably everyone else who wants to install on an Android TV box) would really appreciate it.
Thank you so much.

I'm looking to do the same thing. I have the Akaso T95Z Plus which is a Amlogic S912. I'm about to try this but want to make sure it'll work before I start.
I would try to install TWRP if it's possible (if there's a TWRP build for my device) because there's more functionality in TWRP as opposed to standard recovery. But I'd want to make sure there's not issues before I start.
Word of advice for anyone with an Android TV Box. Instead of using the toothpick method to boot into recovery, just install a boot app that allows you to Reboot into Recovery, Just Reboot normally (which comes in handy with Android TV Boxes because there's no power button) , Reboot to Bootloader, Reboot to Download Mode, Reboot to Safe Mode, Power Down. I use Reboot Manager from the google play store which really comes in handy.
hi guys, i found the easy way to flash Xposed framework for android tv box here:
https://vntvbox.com/huong-dan-cai-dat-xposed-framework-cho-android-tv-box-how-to-install
For S912, S905X, S905,...
I have installed xposed installer framework and YouTube adaway module and xposed frame work has a green check mark saying it's active , but the adaway is not working.
Do I need to install custom ROM and TWRP ? I just installed xposed frame work alone with no modifications. Im using an amlogic s912 box

Not able to Install Magisk Modules

I have successfully installed Magisk on my device Root works but when I try to install a magisk module I get an error about not being able to mount magisk.img. When I try to install through recovery the module is flashes without any errors but once you open the app It displays "no modules installed". Before the G5s plus that I have a had the Moto G5 Plus. It had the same problem I just had to install another kernel over stock one and Magisk would work as expected. Is there a kernel for stock room that would support Magisk. Anyone else had this problem or is it just me?
ive no issue installing modules through magisk. Theres a lot of factors here. You didnt mention but id presume you installed magisk through recovery. Also, I presume you installed xposed. Maybe the modules your using require xposed to work. I forgot the exact steps to install xposed through magisk, but its not hard, and Id assume anyways you tried all of that. Have to flask xposed through recovery if I remember, then you can install xposed app apk too through recovery, then open magisk and install the latest xposed there. Im not using a stock rom, however Im fully confident if you properly rooted, and unlocked your phone of course, (I assume you did, just saying) its not a kernel issue. Sorry if I wasnt any help, its all i can think of right now.
When I got the phone I unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP. When I set up my device I went back to recovery to install Magisk 14.3. It installed correctly and I got root using Magisk but when I try to install any module through the Magisk app I get an error. If I got you right should I try to install Xposed too? I was planning to install Xposed, Magisk version. But when I try that I get an error. I have attached a screenshot of when I try to install Xposed by topjohnwu and Greenify for Magisk. I get the same error.
well, xposed may not be your issue if you cant install any module with magisk manager. The modules, majority of them, if not all of them, i dont know, do not require xposed. Some do, most do not. Now please keep in mind, i could be wrong. I would say this, no harm in installing xposed, its basically a must get anyways for many awesome apps/modules. How you install, first install the xposed manager, youll have to look around for it, its not on the play store. Then downkoad magisk xposed through magisk. Once you download that zip file boot into twrp and install xposed through twrp.
This is a youtube on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCcvsOp83A4 Now thing is, this may not fix any of your problems. But theres a chance it may. Like i said either way you want xposed on rooted phones anyways.
Patched kernel for stock. I have no problem running modules on Magisk. Flash in recovery.
