[THEME][TWRP] TWRP 3.0.0 Holo Dark Holo Light themes - Android Themes

These themes are compatible with TWRP versions 3.0.0-0 to 3.0.2-0 and only portrait mode. They are 1080 x 1920 resolution, and TWRP will scale to other resolutions. I'm not sure how the graphics will look at a higher resolution on a large tablet screen, since the largest screen I have to test on is a 7" screen.
The themed images were created by Primokorn and NorthLight and are used with permission. The graphics were originally used in themes for an older version of TWRP. I used the xml code from the stock theme as a base to start from, and modified it for the graphics I'm using. Credit for the theme's xml code goes to TeamWin and z31s1g, and the "chmod 644" button/function code is from fichl.
Changelog--
2017-02-01: I have added a HoloLight theme for MultiROM-TWRP 3.00 - 3.0.2. See below for the screenshots and download link.
2016-04-15: Translation updates - added Italian, Czech and Polish and significant updates to Dutch (from TWRP 3.0.1 source)
Minor Mods to several images
Fixed layout bugs in file manager-fileselector and install-fileselector screens
Changes in the "About" screen to reflect the change in TWRP version
Changed theme version number to better match TWRP version
2016-03-04: Added a "chmod 644" button to the file manager.
DOWNLOAD THE THEME YOU LIKE, AND FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Download the theme you like.
2. Rename it to "ui.zip".
3. Copy or move the file into the folder: /sdcard/TWRP/theme - (create the "theme" folder if it does not exist - make sure it's all lower-case)
4. Boot into TWRP, or from within TWRP 3.0.x, tap on "Advanced", then "Reload Theme" and your new theme should be applied.
5. ENJOY!
You use these themes at your own risk - there is no guarantee. Neither I nor the staff of XDA will be held responsible if you brick your phone or tablet, or if these themes eat your cat.

You can find the materialized light theme in this XDA thread. (It's already been updated to twrp 3.0.0 by someone else.)

No I don't. I just read about it yesterday. I will try to get permission to use the fix and add it soon.
@vjtigas -- I have now added the chmod 644 function and the new files have been uploaded. (Holo Dark and Holo Light)

Out of thanks so need to write it down, really like your themes. Thanks.

@ScottDB
Editing splash background in latest 3.0.1.0 doesn't work, can you have a look. Only a black background and then twrp loads. I have tried with your background image as well as a different one made by me. Here is the one I am trying, it's a bit bigger in size.

Did you unpack the twrp image with AIK, insert your splash image, modify splash.XML and repack the twrp image? I tried it with twrp 3.0.1-0 with my splash image and it worked for me. If you aren't able to, let me know. I might be able to do it for you.

I did the exactly same thing on my pc but all I got was a blank screen. Can you try with my attached image and if it worked can you upload it somewhere? Thanks.
(I didn't modify the splash.xml manually but simply replaced it with the one provided by you, the same thing worked for me on last version of twrp)

I noticed that the splash image was a .jpg instead of a .png - that's the format that twrp requires now. (I converted it to png before inserting it into the image.) Let me know if it works for ya!
Don't forget to hit the Thanks button if I helped you!

Yes, there are several other themes for twrp. Search for: TWRP theme will give you many results. I don't know of any guides for making your own themes. I learned by doing - making changes to other themes and seeing what happens.

I edited a few pics in gimp under the same name and saved the zip as ui.zip and nothing shows up when I try to apply it.
But if I put the original file in the same place it shows up on first start after applied in the folder.

hmmmmm..... that's weird. Is it a few pics that are used in portrait.xml? If so, I don't know what's wrong... If it's pics that are used in splash.xml, then you will need to use Android Image Kitchen to modify your twrp .img file.

Edit 02/10/12: Upon request from mrrick, and with the inspiration of R3D X - the creator of the Lunar UI theme - here is an eleventh boot animation style.

(Looks better on device - gif previews are limited to 256 colors)
Here are ten colors of a boot animation I made for MIUI. Now all are available with and without the MIUI tag on Andy the Android - so every version is available for MIUI regardless of screen size. All ten are available as flashable zips for other ROMs as well, made to 480x800 or 320x480 - shouldn't matter for MIUI themes, but make sure to use the right screen size for flashing method. A couple have been done for 720x1280 by request and are sprinkled through the thread and available at the download page. If you want a flashable zip for another device size, do let me know.
I will upload better previews later - larger versions are at the link below for downloads.
Sorta Matrix-like, I suppose, with the scrolling binary code. These are made from 18 static images with varying layer and opacity styles in Photoshop - I think they'd look really cool with a fly in intro series, but I'm done with animation for the moment. They're packaged for MIUI in theme format - simply upload to the MIUI themes folder and choose the bootanimation from the theme chooser menu. Let me know if you'd like a different color. All three are tested and in working order 1.11.25 MIUI.
All are also available as flashable zip's for a ROM other than MIUI, all are made to 480x800 or 320x480. : I used despotovski01's Boot Animator Creator, which makes the process incredibly simple. That said, I HAVE NOT tested the flashable zips for use on other ROMS, as I am on MIUI. FLASH AT YOUR OWN PERIL. I also cannot guide you through the process, but XDA is a font of info on the subject. As usual, I HIGHLY suggest you Nandroid your shiza before flashing stuff. I left the downloads for non-MIUI versions named individually so you can verify which version you've downloaded - you should rename the file "bootanimation.zip" or whatever is appropriate to your ROM before flashing or pushing. Check your phone's thread for details.
If you like what I have done and would like to show your gratitude, Leo is pretty hungry...

Edit - ah ha! I see you are maybe on the Optimus V from your sig. That is a different screen size!!! I will edit them for that screen size and post back with updates. As I read on the page linked in the first post, resizing an MTZ for MIUI is fine, but for flashable zips it will not work.
All versions for alt ROMs edited for 320x480 screen size in addition to 480x800

[AllianceROM][JB XXLSZ][OTA][VISUALS]Post your submissions here

Because we are getting so many good suggestions for OTA updates in our thread AllianceROM_JB XXLSZ_v2 we decided it was time to start a thread for users to post their submissions.
Major Credits to Robbie Hood for making this Rom and to Ficeto for making the awesome Rom Customiser and the Ota app
OTA visuals (and updates) are bound to certain format rules that I will explain in the following posts.
All things posted in here will first be tested and evaluated before being uploaded to OTA
please be advised that mods are not to include complete framework-res.apk, SystemUI.apk, SecSettings.apk or android-policy

OTA visuals
Visuals are zips containing images and XML files from apk that are to be changed.
Format for zip name is simple, just try to describe what the mod does, if mod is a variation of existing mods use same format as existing ones.
The .theme in the name is no longer needed.
Inside zip you put name of apk (without .apk). Mods can contain more than one apk!
Also put in the root op the zip:
An empty txt file named theme
A txt file called description with a short description of the mod
An image file in JPG format called preview with an image of your mod
put in the rest of the folders like in original apk
Before uploading it please test the mod yourself by putting it on your sd and flashing from RomCustomiser
If your mod fits an existing category please tell us in your post
If you come up with mods that don't have a category yet, please also make a revert mod containing the same images and xml from the original rom so users can get back to that easily
OTA updates
Ota updates can contain apk, mostly used by Dev's to update the Rom.
Can however also be used for fixes that contain an apk like the stock playstore
They are basicaly CWM zips, with some additions:
A txt file named description with a description of the update
An JPG file named preview with an image of the mod (preferable, not compulsory)
Please remember that all system apps go in preload/symplink/system/app
You can use the base zip that I uploaded here

Yes. Also, you have to be using the Alliance Ficeto TWRP kernel. Philz must be missing some of the busybox (/?) instructions that make the theme engine work.

if all goes as planned the rom config will have a stock theme option as well so no need to flash a stock theme afterwards for the ones who like stock but just optional via romcustomizer when flashing the rom
is there any chance to get a zip to flash it from cwm?
it´s because I use this beautiful rom as sd rom and can´t flash anything via Rom Customizer :crying:

Didn't realize there was a functioning dual boot kernel now. Need to go look at that
Obviously, your setup is totally unsupported as far as Alliance team would be concerned. None of the OTA stuff would ever work. You'd might be better off running Alliance as the main 'phone' ROM and AOSP, CM, whatever, as your SD ROM.
But there is hope for you yet...
You need to pull your framework-res.apk, manually modify the background png, and push framework-res.apk back into /system/framework manually via ADB or whatever file manager is convenient (Alliance ROM Manager comes to mind)
You can follow instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2175160 (except in Alliance ROM, Robbie changed the HOLO background name to background_holo_dark.png and NOT tw_background_holo_dark) :highfive:

Hey everyone!
NOTE: This was made for the Bamboo OnePlus One, exclusively. It may not gain as much popularity, but it was made to cater to those who have the Bamboo edition OnePlus One, or people with a Bamboo Styleswap and love using it.
This was designed to completely replace the Bamboo OnePlus One's boot animation, to create a more exclusive and unique boot animation. This is also to commemorate OnePlus' 1 year anniversary.
"竹智" is the term OnePlus uses to express "The spirit of bamboo lies within this phone". I tried to capture OnePlus' traditional motifs with the Chinese characters, as well as to capture ColorOS's round and puffy look on the loading animations to allow for a nice, sleek, dark boot animation.
This works on all CM11 and CM11S ROMs with theme engine. When CM12 Theme Engine is released, I will rework this boot animation for it.
WHAT THIS PACK INCLUDES
Splash Screen Replacement (Overwrites Red/White OnePlus logo with "Powered by Android")
Fastboot Logo
Boot Animation (Selectable in Theme Engine)
VIDEO
REQUIREMENTS
Unlocked Bootloader (For Splash Screen replacement and Fastboot logo)
ROM with CM11 Theme Engine (For Boot Animation)
Fastboot installed on your computer - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
INSTALLATION OF BOOT ANIMATION
Download the app from a Play Store link below.
Go to CM11's Theme Engine (On Mahdi it's called "Themes") in Settings then click on "Boot animations"
Scroll down to "Bamboo OnePlus BootAni" then tick "Boot Animation", then click Update.
INSTALLATION OF BOOT LOGO/SPLASH SCREEN (DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS ON CM12 ROMS, IT WILL BRICK YOU)
Reboot your phone into Fastboot mode (When fully turned off, hold down VOLUME UP + POWER until you see "Fastboot mode")
Place "logo.bin" into your fastboot folder (FOUND ON THE PLAY STORE LINK DESCRIPTION!)
In the fastboot folder, press Shift + Right click on a blank area. Click on "Open command window here"
Type fastboot flash LOGO logo.bin and press enter. After complete type in fastboot reboot
DOWNLOADS
Open up the description on the Play Store links to get the latest logo.bin files! Thanks!

I never planned for this to replace your stock Theme Engine boot animation, but do you plan to replace it on CM12 roms? If that's what you intend, I have one notice for you, there would be a "flash-to-black" part in the transition between the logo.bin and bootanimation.zip...this is due to CM12 commits and I can't control it.
I'll upload the zip in a bit.

Sweet, thank you!
I have tried to flash the boot animation on my One plus. As I do have a Bamboo cover. However, it does not seem to work on CM12 unofficial. Should it be able to flash on Android L. If not is there a way to do it. Thank you.

We have to wait for an update as OnePlus stupidly released their alpha version which broke tons of features including a modem and the boot partitions.
Thank you for the reply. I did look as some of the jpegs - nice. I would use it when possible.

Is there a special process when trying to add this bootanimation for Lollipop roms? I've tried it on a couple roms (aosp and cm12) but was a no go. I moved the zip like normal to the media folder, changed the name, set permissions and rebooted.

I'll check it out. I think something is wrong with lollipops boot sequence. Like they can't have a 1920x1080 boot.... We'll see.

Do you know that TWRP now resizes images automatically therefore negating the need for multiple resolution themes.

I don't mind the bad language, I've had a guy with worse English on my team, so I understand. About the text, yes it will get a bit stretched and will not look very nice. So what you can do is maintain three or four resolutions only, like highest, lowest and two which are somewhat in between. This should reduce the effort required.

Looks great. Can you create some simple, minimalist splash screens that replaces the not so attractive one in 3.0? Some that mimic your team win recovery project header in your theme and that match the theme color schemes? I would prefer that you just add it to the zip! See attached.

Have you ever been to @z31s1g's theme thread?? He clearly told that the splash is now XML controlled, and therefore one static image should be tough to use as a splash.

Yes and that is why I am recommended that the developer who created this work up something. I just used that singular static image as my preference for simplistic and attractive design. I know that the particular file that i attached would not work. Just an example of minimalist design.

@andii_nr
Hey, you forgot to change the theme version in the "dark - light - play" themes, look into ui xml, it's written 287x_v2, i changed it in my themes, it's not really important but I say you. If you want, i fixed it in the zips below, you can take them if you want to update them.

[THEME][TWRP] MultiROM TWRP 3.0.0 - 3.0.2 Themes

These themes are compatible with MultiROM-TWRP versions 3.0.0 - 3.0.2 in portrait mode only. MultiROM-TWRP 3.0.0 is the latest version available for my 2012 Nexus 7, which is my test device, but these themes also work with versions 3.0.1 and 3.0.2. They are 1080 x 1920 resolution, and TWRP will scale the themes to other resolutions. Some people (including myself) don't like busy wallpapers, so I have also made available no-wallpaper versions with a black background.
The first theme available is 3D Blues. Now, I have created the XDA Labs theme! Do you like G.M.L.'s XDA Labs theme for regular TWRP? If so, then try this one if you are running MultiROM TWRP! (See screenshots and download links below.)
]I have added a new theme - HoloLight for MultiROM TWRP. Actually, this is a modification of my previous HoloLight theme for TWRP 3.0.x. See below for screenshots and download link.
3d Blues update:
13 October 2016:
Fixed missing backup button, but the option to show auto-generated backup name is gone.
Reversed navbar layout option is added in.
I added "Reboot after installation is complete" to General Settings & Install Zip page.
Other minor mods and fixes that somewhat reduced the file size.
The theme has been bumped to version 1.1.0.
Credits:
The original authors of the xml code are Teamwin and z31s1g.
The chmod 644 function code is by fichl, and used by permission.
Most of the graphics in the 3D Blues theme were created by Dustin B (from his Cobalt Lollipop theme), and used by permission.
In the XDA Labs theme, some graphics were created by G.M.L. and used with permission. I created the main buttons and made all mods to the xml code in both themes.
DOWNLOAD THE THEME OF YOUR CHOICE (OR ALL) AND FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS:
1. The theme can be on an external sdcard or the internal sdcard.
2. In TWRP, select "Install".
3. Go to the folder containing the theme and select it.
4. Swipe to confirm Flash and TWRP will restart with the new theme. (TWRP will create the "theme" folder if needed.)
5. ENJOY!
If you only have MR-TWRP 3.0.0 (like I do), you will need to copy the theme to the /sdcard/TWRP/theme/ folder and rename it to ui.zip. Then reload the theme and enjoy!
You use these themes at your own risk - there is no guarantee. Neither I nor the staff of XDA will be held responsible if you brick your phone or tablet, or if these themes eat your cat.
Post here and let me know how they work on your device!

Early in development, I removed the reverse-navbar code from the theme. I don't remember why, but I'll put it back in. I've got a busy weekend coming up, so give me a couple of days. (i'll try to put it back in tonight.)
I saw the attached screenshot - the backup button is missing! Do you not have the ability to do nandroid backups?

I double checked and with that theme backup is missing in main menu and in multirom menu. As far as the update for navbar fix take your time I am not in recovery enough for it to be a big issue.

Backup button missing is really strange... It's not missing when installed on my Nexus 7 and I can test most of the theme on my Galaxy S3 (except MultiROM functions.) Backup is not missing from main menu on the S3 either. I've checked file totals on both zip files - here and online and they are the same.
The navbar fix is already done. I'm working on other small issues in the theme though...

I'm going to look into this missing Backup button issue. (See the post above yours if you haven't already.) I'll let you know something in a few days.
What do you mean by a "complete black version"? Buttons and background all black with white text? (A few buttons don't have text.) Or everything black? Then you wouldn't be able to see anything!
