SAMSUNG S5 from USA on AT &T - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5

Hi, I've been trying to install a custom Rom on my S5 , but I seem to have problems with the process. I ve just recently read that the above S5 cannot be rooted and therefore cannot be flashed with an upgrade ! Can anyone confirm if this is so ,because I have made many attempts with a variety of firmwares ,pits, etc but ends in failure each time .
The phone is an S5 firmware - csc - G900FOJV1ANCD. BOOTLOADER -G900AUCU2AND3, BUILD NO KOT49H . G900FZHU1ANG1, PRODUCT CODE - SM -G900AZKAXSG, CSC COUNTRY -UAE, FIRMWARE CSC CODE - XSG,

Quick question about flashing stock ROM

I've got a Telstra-branded S8+ (code TEL according to Sammobile) and I want to flash regular unbranded firmware onto it but I'm a little confused by all this talk of CSCs and so on. Is it safe to download the Australia (XSA) firmware and simply flash the HOME_CSC file over the top of what's already there, or is there more to it than that? Do I need to worry about this tripping Knox/breaking Safetynet/disabling OTAs/etc?
I have had no issues with flashing XSA on my Singapore model Note 8. As long as it is the official firmware this will not trip Knox.
Though your original CSC will appear in the Software Information as the third CSC. Mine currently shows XSA/XSA/XSP (XSP is Singapore)

How to know that which firmware and csc file i can choose for flashing N950U?

I read a lot of threads about Galaxy Note 8 carrier locked and unlocked firmware flashing guides in here but one thing I couldn't get clear of was that how to know that which firmware version with the following csc will be compatible to your bootloader if you are already having flashed note 8 with unlocked software on your carrier locked device.
I am having a Galaxy Note 8 bought from AT&T but it is running on firmware with active CSC code XAA which is for Unlocked US models and the baseband version is N950USQU1AQI9 which I checked on internet is the firmware of US Cellular carrier. So anyone can please help me If I want to Update my Firmware with Odin and I still want to have the unlocked device features then what files shall I choose. Please Help.

don't understand

Hi can someone please help
I have unlocked Note 9 in the United Kingdom on three network ( purchased the handset and have a SIM only network deal ).. When will I get an OTA software update ? ... On SAMMOBILE I keep seeing new firmware builds for Note 9 and then the network name including ones for three... Is it Samsung or three that push the OTA software builds to my device ?
What CSC and what build do you have?
You can always grab latest available firmware ( OXM multi CSC ) and flash it manually through Odin. This won't trigger Knox or avoid warranty. Do make sure you know what you're doing and that you download the right firmware.

Samsung S10 Not registered on network after firmware update

Help needed
My s10 exynos phone is from Australia and was rooted when I bought it. I got it online. I used frija and odin to install latest stock firmware. All done and good but network is not registered. I live in Oman. Base firmware shown in mobile is BTU and Active firmware reads as TEL. I installed firmware with CSC MID, XSG, INS but all does not help.
Did I do something wrong ?

Docomo Note 8 SC-01K (Snapdragon) with SM-N950F firmware.

Hello,
Recently i bought a used Japanese Docomo Note 8 (snapdragon), i believe that the stock rom is tweaked/upgraded/modified to accept my local carrier in Malaysia.
I did a search and found that Snapdragon chip is only available on SM-N950U/SM-N9500 version but it appears that my phone model number in "about phone" is SM-N950F.
As far as i know that N950F is using Exynos SoC.
I am now having trouble to install and use Shealth together with others banking app or even Samsung Pay.
I checked my chipset from CPUz and it is indeed a Snapdragon but running on SM-N950F version of firmware.
this is my current firmware information:-
BL : N950FXXS5DSC5
AP : N950FXXS5DSC5
CP : N950FXXS5DSC5
CSC : N950FOXM5DSB2
HW REV : N950JPN.04
(More on details on my attached screenshot)
I downloaded latest firmware for N950F and flash with latest Odin, result is fail attempt with "secure check fail : pit"
I have limited knowledge on Samsung Note 8 firmware and hoping that you can enlighten me.
My plan is to identify what is going on with the current stock firmware and if possible to flash back to Original stock rom (CSC: XME) or perhaps any Multi-CSC stock firmware.
Or is it save to just using custom rom with bricking the device?
