CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.4 (KitKat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Your warranty is now void.
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. Hard. A lot.
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Can be used by default ROM, in others words, Daily Driver?
If you want to lose Time, don't care about some blue screens and don't use Camera, yes
@PecanCM | @Kizoky | @fzort | @percy_g2 | @InsideMuz | #Sony | #CAF | | And CM Team for all!
Wow. Waiting till the RIL is working, but thanks for your great work, keep it up
Yaasss! Nice work mate, I can't wait until RIL and WiFi are fixed, but I might test it out and then restore using a TWRP backup lol
Gonna bring logcats If needed
It would take years... good luck anyway
Why would it take years?
Finally we have a built ROM from sources that actually booted without any problems
Flashing CM11:
First boot: Setup wizard ---> CRASH & System reboot automatically
2nd boot: Finished Setup wizard, entering settings, opening random apps ---> CRASH & System reboot again
3nd boot: Doing nothing --> CRASH & System reboot
Okay I give up (can't even take logcats )

The Bluetooth is making random reboots, idk why since i not tested.
Im sick these days, best since day 02, and yesterday i get out of power.
I will try when possible, and see what i can do.
Thanks for testing.

I found everything to be OK - when I was testing it out, the setup wizard crashed the phone but after it was working A-OK. Lockscreen settings aren't working, bluetooth switches and other stuff don't work but it seems stable. I did go back to XperiAOSP because it was unusable (WiFi and stuff don't work). Awesome work though mate. Do you need logcats? @Kizoky seems to have tried but failed. I'll try if you want.

Forgot to say It is way faster than the ported CM11 buggy ROM (Moto E ROM)
I don't know why, but since TWRP kernel my PC, or other PCs can't find my Phone, unless I boot to TWRP ..
Yeah it was way more faster. Good job OP, great ROM. As I said, not gonna use it untill like WiFi and stuff are fixed.
@Kizoky Are you using this ROM or another one? (huh, snoop dog joke lol) My phone comes up on my PC when I'm booted into XperiAOSP, if you're on this ROM it might just be a bug to do with PC detection. I don't know. Does it charge?
Ok, the problem is original ramdisk files of Sony, i deleted a lot of then, adapted, reduce and clean.
When i get better (im sick since day 2, idk if i said this), i will fix it
Enviado de meu E435 (L3 II Dual) usando Tapatalk
Microphone fixed but still no sound.
Camera in progress, all lib is on vendor or almost all, i will need more time to work on this.
Usb of TWRP still broken.
Now system reboot all time due Bluetooth bug or OMX or idk.
Wifi still broken.
I will need implement last kernel message (last_kmsg) because Sony add others **** logging not used and removed main logging, i hate it.
Ever sick i made some changes and fixed only mic (better fixed sdcard mount and this fixed mic).
Enviado de meu E435 (L3 II Dual) usando Tapatalk
Awesome dude get better soon and good luck
Progress: Audio fixed
But no way to test anything, fasts ramdom reboots idk why, anyone have some tip? Anything?

Try disabling Bluetooth?
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9XGx7NH88Bwbm56UExYY25EMVk/view
This fixed the Bluetooth and signal on the condor ported ROM
I don't know If it will work with this build
Temporary fix:
On Stock ROM enable Developer (..Enable adb, verificate phone with PC)
Flash Infinity CM11 (falconss)
Re-flash PhilZ Recovery
Boot into CM11 while logcat + PC
If I have time I will do this

Why you said Infinity CM11 this is latest build with newest sources (not NEW of yesterday), so this have the fast Random Reboot (RR) bug, i not recommend this.
I will try some things on kernel today.

Q&A
Q : Is root access included?
A : No it is not. Nothing recommended for the moment.
Q : Is the ROM suited for daily usage?
A : Nope.
Q : Google Service crashes during Setup Wizard, solutions?
A : Try to get through the setup. If it isn't possible, enable USB debugging in the developer settings and use your computer to enter these adb commands:
Code:
adb shell pm grant com.google.android.setupwizard android.permission.READ_CONTACTS
adb shell pm grant com.google.android.setupwizard android.permission.WRITE_CONTACTS
adb shell pm grant com.google.android.setupwizard android.permission.ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION
Q : Google Apps keep crashing. What shall I do?
A : Go through the SetupWizard as best as you can,
then grant the permissions for Google Services / PlayStore.
Erase both apps' data and reboot if still unstable.
Notes
This ROM is for testing purposes and for people that cannot wait to try Android Nougat.
It is not recommended for daily use. Bugs will only be accepted if logs are included.
This build has been built with by Sony provided AOSP software binaries for Android 6.0.1. Once 7.0 binaries are released, some stuff should be fixed and optimized, I will provide regular builds.
Ignore the error "E: unknown command [log]" when flashing the ZIP

Yeah, only thing thats keeping me away from flashing this is camera but keep up the good work @CubeDev! We appreciate your work
Hello,
I am waiting for Sony to release their Nougat software binaries which should fix most issues.
The camera is a big issue as it is very complex to repair. And even if I do get it working, it will not look very good because it will not include Sony's camera optimization (which is not open source).

Even with the binaries for 6.0.1 and with CM 13 the camera is just baerly usabale. I don't think that there will be much of a difference...
Just wondering: what about echo on the remote side during voice calls which affects Marshmallow CM build for this device? Is it somehow fixed in nougat?
Ad. camera issues, it was fixed on marshmallow thanks to oshmoun (see marshmallow thread).

On the Oneplus Two, the echoing in the other side started on 7.0 nougat an onwards. One astute user noted that the echoing was mitigated by disabling 4G/LTE bands while calling. Perhaps this has something to do with the modem handling in CM general, and especially in Nougat and onwards.
Camera
Are the (rear-facing)camera-issues the same as we saw in the earlier releases of CM13[unofficial] for z5c?
What I mean by this is: are the issues caused by the same thing(Memory allocation), or are the problems with the camera rooted in something else?
The front camera seems to be working fine (although Snapchat is the only app that seems to be able to use it). The rear camera is the main reason this ROM is not usable as a daily driver. I know because I have been using it as my daily driver for a few weeks now.
info::
-not rooted
-nano GApps
-11.09.2016 version
-TWRP_152_v2_nilezon
not working::
- camera
- bluetooth
--- those are the most important.
- seems to force reset when shutting off. First one normal vibration as screen is turned off, then three more after a second of two.
Thank you for all the hard work!

Wait, how arent you rooted? How can you install cm and all these stuff?
I was rooted on cm, and by not being rooted now I guess I just mean I don't have superSU installed or xposed or any other stuff. I think I can use a root shell via adb.

Could have posted a day sooner, but was messing with the dtb compile (@RaymanFX got it working, currently compiling to test).
I hope the solution workd for all Tab s2's with the exynos chipset. I think the T71x tabs have issues with the stock dtb/kernel combination. Would be nice to get those builds up and running again.
Might flash this tomorrow. Anyone try Netflix on it yet ?
Awesome stuff. Will give this a flash here in a bit after I do a Odin. Just for my infos  Does this have similar tweaks to CM 14.1 did or still pretty barebones at this date. Either way it won't stop me from trying it, just curious.

It's a rebranded cm-14.1, so expect all issues cm-14.1 had to be acailable in this build as well, until we fixed them.
Just replaced the boot.img from a failed build of yesterday with a new one with a self compiled dtb made today. The change to build the dtb killed something else, so I need to hunt that new bug down. Will update OP with link to new file when the upload finishes.

Netflix will cast fine if you have a chromecast but doesn't work locally yet. The video zoom issue is much improved - YouTube works great, prime video works, Facebook video works but still a bit buggy (videos sometimes play at half speed, sometimes need reloading to work fullscreen).

Just compiled a complete image with the new boot.img generation (incl. compiled dtb instead of stock). Updated OP. Image not yet tested, flashing as I type..

Mine is stuck on the boot screen.
Edit: I flashed the boot.img file from the 12/31 build with Odin and the 01/01 build booted fine.
Check, stuck on my tab s2 as well. Will build a new image tomorrow.

Build 01/02 boots just fine
Did a recompile, added latest patches of @RaymanFX on the gts2-common tree and rebranded the product name to lineage. (missed that one) Updated op with link. (and tested, it boots )
Feels a tad faster on the screen as well.
Sounds great that something is happening for the Tab S2 However i have a T815 (LTE model), any chance it will be supported somewhere down the line? (with or without LTE support, as i rarely use it)

@RaymanFX is building the T815 sources and to be honest, doing most of the work. I mostly check of his patches don't break the T810 build. I don't know where he uploads his images.
Speaking of which, when he was debugging the T815 to locate the missing hardware decode support, he found, after a clean install, that they were used. I've compiled today and I'm now rebuilding my device, to see if graphincs have improved. When someone with netflix could test if it works after a clean flash, that would be nice.
OP updated with link to todays build.
Did a factory reset, fresh install - Netflix still can't play.

This is a very well-known bug, affecting all AOSP-based 7.1.1 ROMs. The problem has to do with auto quality detection. If YouTube, and pretty much all web-based video, allowed for the resolution to be manually and statically set, this wouldn't be a problem.

Hey, first of all thanks for this great ROM!
I found one bug when trying to unlock the phone while using the fingerprint reader. You can hear the phone unlocking but the screen stays black. You need to re lock and unlock by not only touching the fingerprint but really physically pushing it in so it clicks. I hope my explanation is clear to understand.

Thx for the quick response, and I totally understand that. This bug is only a luxury problem so I guess I'll live
I'm using RR as daily driver and I can say it's pretty stable, I've experienced some FCs on Magisk but when rebooting they got solved, also sometimes when I reboot the phone to solve FCs on Magisk the ROM doesn't boot and I have to turn the phone off and boot again, but these problems are not common, so I don't really care about them, just saying... Maybe it's becouse I flashed mods, right now I'm only using V4A and iOS Emojis, both are zip files flashed via Magisk. But as I said this problems are very uncommon so no problem with it.
The other bug is that problem with AOD, but since I don't use AOD I don't really care about it
Except that everything works perfectly

nice work :good:
Nice to see this ROM here on XDA. Very good job! Running it for a day now and cannot find any problems with it (except notification LED and backlight sometimes too dark)
Battery life is very good. Light and Deep doze (deviceidle) are working good.
For a first release this is very good!
Is it possible to add cpu hotplug to the kernel, and cpu underclock?
Add core_ctl ?
Looking at msm_performance.c (also hotplug capable?) it looks like the CONFIG_MSM_PERFORMANCE_HOTPLUG_ON flag is not defined.
No big deal.
Cheers
Great news and great job !
For what concern stability and battery life the are no issues (until now) ?
Sent from Huawei Nova Titanium
Brilliant find with the test key. Great work on the ROM. Thanks
Some bug: if the screen locks I can't unlock it again without restarting. The lock button doesn't light up the display, I can use the volume keys to lighten it up but if I try using the touchscreen the display goes dark. Just one touch and it goes dark.
edit: the touchscreen responds while the display is dark, for example I pull the status bar down, and then the display lights up and I can enter settings, enable/disable wifi etc.., but once I go to the home screen the display goes dark.
edit2: found the problem. Changing the wallpaper to something that's not in the rom by default.
edit3: problem went away after installing 28-05 firmware version.
We appreciate yoyr job. Keep up

Would this run on a Tab 3 8 non-plus? If not are there any roms out there for such device? Or anything in general to make it faster? Thank you.

Having trouble getting it to work on mine (wifi model - 8703F)
TWRP went on fine (and thankfully I took a backup at that point!), then I install the latest version (lineage-14.1-20180528-UNOFFICIAL-TB8703.zip) and run RM Forceencrypt and reboot. It shows the Lineage progress bar for around a minute, then just turns off.
Tried with and without forceencrypt, restored from backup and then tried again but no luck... Going to go back to the official ROM for now, but if anybody has any pointers for the next time I try it that'd be great.

Which wipes did you do before installing?
Well, this rom is fantastic. I've tried a few over the years and never has one made such a difference. The stock rom must have been an enormous pile of **** lol. I mean how do they go through so many firmware iterations and still leave simple problems unaddressed. Anyway, I digress...
On a couple of webpages I noticed slow loading in Chrome eg https://www.gearbest.com/laptops-c_11964/
So I ran a logcat which picked up some interesting errors which might be worth looking at even if they're unrelated

It still cant be loaded by fastboot, but you always can flash it from TWRP. You can get boot.sig in my repo https://github.com/HighwayStar/android_device_lenovo_TB8703/blob/cm-14.1/twrp/recovery/root/boot.sig

Restart to recovery/bootloader don't work. The tablet restarts to OS in both cases. (dev menu -> advanced restart)
I'll post more bugs as I'll find them.
Upgraded from 15 to 16. Working without problems so far. Thanks!
It doesn't connect to hidden SSID wifi network. when adding a network there's an option to specify that the SSID is hidden or not..
Rotate lock screen isn't present in Settings but it appears in Search.
Ethernet connection doesn't work.
Quick update:
2018-04-21
Fixed reboot to recovery and bootloader from reboot menu
Fixed long time to wake up screen
Fixed Deep sleep
Thank you. The 15.1 built was amazing already.
Do we have to flash new gaaps when upgrading?
I have upgraded from latest 15.1. Some observations:
Vibration does not work for me in the initial 16.0 release.
Longer wake up time (i see it's fixed in new built).
I also didn't realize 15.1 gapps are not compatible with 16.0 so after upgrading just the LOS I experienced gapps crash fest. It's better after installing MindTheGaps9 but now launches and crashes some silly Pixel Phone wizard app on almost every transition to home screen, preventing opening home screen. There is a workaround getting to home screen by using history button and clicking on background. Some apps failed to start, like Youtube but reinstallation healed the issue.
System seems to be nice, smooth and responsive. Very nice upgrade.

Of course.
Upgrade process should look like this:
- create a backup!!!
- wipe system, cache, dalvik
- flash los 16
- flash open gapps for pie (i use Pico)
- optional: flash your root solution (I use magisk)
- sign boot
- reboot
How can I have expanded notifications guys? Is the option removed?
Hey dude, thanks for your great work, everything's working fine, but I have a problem when try to screen mirroring to my tv because every time I do the tablet crash and restart... Can you fix it please? In lineage 15 doesn't have that problem. Thanks in advance.
Man, you are a legend!! Working great!! Thankyou sooooo much!
In regards to vibration not working... Mine is working but it is very light when say pressing home button. Working but much lighter vibration than before.
I use Gboard so I can just increase that vibration fine.
Thanks again!!
Thanks for the update, works very well for me

Is there any Dolby Atmos mod that works?
Guys, can you find "ambient display"? There's no option in Setings> Display, but if you search in Settings, 2 results appear with no use unfortunately

There's a LiveDisplay in settings. I think it's the same thing.

Well, I just want to have the display turned on when a notification arrives.
LiveDisplay is Day/Night color tweak etc... Ambient Display is that option to have the display turned on when notifications arrive/ when you pick up the tablet etc.
The weird thing is that if you use search in settings, you can see that the option is there somewhere. But when you tap it you go nowhere

Ah sorry. I've never used Ambiend display before and I tought that they might be the same thing.
Same bug with Rotate lockscreen.
If anyone find a Google Camera app that works, please post it in the topic. Thanks
Thanks for bringing Pie to the Tab 3 8 Plus
I noticed that not all notifications from twitter appear with this ROM comparing with 15.1... So I thought I could return to 15.1 by wiping Cache/ Dalvik/ System and flashing the Oreo ROM + Gapps. Unfortunately Android started booting but ended up in TWRP. Most probably full wipe is needed.
So I decided to flash Pie again! I wiped cache/ dalvik/ system, flashed LOS 16 + Gapps, rebooted.. this time it booted to Android normally, but now I have no notifications from any app at all! Yikes! Any clues guys?
Good morning.
Thanks for all.
I have a problem. I installed the new LineageOS 16.0 but the wifi does not activate. When active it is deactivated by itself. Thanks for your help.
