I am seeing that I am the only one posting in this forum. Nobody else is having touch viva or they don't have problem with the device?
What is the reason?
No
no, you are wrong i've touch viva and i haven't problems because i'm very very precise with all the installation and softwares...firstly i've installed only the necessary app, and i've inserted inside a MicroSD of 2GB, where i've collocated all of applications..secondly i think that is a very good telephone because it replaces the old HTC Touch...for 260€ is the best price for a PDA..infact this telephone have a lot of connection and i think that is better than the other HTC (i.e. HTC Jade or diamond) for some reasons: the long life of battery, the measures, and also the price, as I have already said, is very very convenient Which are your ideas?
so...W HTC TOUCH VIVA
p.s:
I'm always here, so you can write and i'll try to responde you in the best of the ways

Thanks devipera64 for your response.
I am happy with the device. It worths the price. Only some minor problems.
Will you please answer my other post about keyboard problem if you have any knowledge?
Thanks again.
Don't worry..if you would, you can write also me in PW..i've saw that the people likes a lot the Diamond's devices..i think that 500€ for a PDA, that isn't indestructible, isn't a good chosen, above all for the pockets of the customers So a PDA like ours, is the top for the level quality/price
ya thats right. i am also happy with my htc viva. i am a new user and been a long fan of Symbian. hope to find this win mobile comparable enough.

Thanks for the suggestion. Actually, I just want the clock off, the article you are referring to gives you a digital clock with the user interface changed.
I love the Manila 2d user interface "minus" the huge arm clock in between. Any idea how to remove just that clock and reatain the rest..
Please suggest..
Give it a shot.. . . have fun .. works well
http://android.vringo.com

this app works on hero rom, just a bit of lag time for video to start playing 2-5 secs
can't wait for more development
This app is awesome! lol, no lag here. But for sure I'll be using it over the default ringer lol.
Current vid on it:
SNSD - Gee
I like this, vid quality could be better, but I haven't really gotten a chance to mess with it cause I'm at work, but first impression is good.
Funny that this is available today, I was literally thinking of something just like this last night, then bam, here this is. Sweet.
i wish we could use a video that is more than 30 seconds, but overall this is an great application!

I noticed that too.
So what brand of videos does this use? mp4, 3gp some other proprietary format?
The videos suck. I can't find instructions on how to use your own. I don't know what half these songs are!

Hi,
While reading IS review on pocketnow.com I've found them saying that the screen sensitivity on IS is not good. But I'm interested and with others opinions from actual owners of IS. Thanks.

I think it's very responsive myself. The only problem I've had in that regard is that I have to press down for a split-second before I swipe down to unlock the screen, otherwise it doesn't respond properly - but I've seen this on other Sense-based phones too.

Perhaps the reviewers were on some kind of experimental drug.. i don't know.. i am too.. but, anyway. the screen sensitivity is just great. Have been using the IS for about three weeks now. Not one hick-up, restart, freeze what so ever.
it has been flying fast all the time.
If anything IMHO its a little over sensitive, sometimes it feels like I don't actually have to make physical contact before the IS makes the action.

I have to agree with you, the response time is instant, i haven't rebooted the phone since i started using it. roughly been 3 weeks 2 days uptime.
Although i sometimes hear an echo on my end but when i ask the person on the other end abt the quality of the sound they all say its crystal clear :S

Yes, definately also something I have noticed! This never happened with my Legend, so the screen of the IS must be more sensitive!
Ive noticed this and Ive been trying to figure out what it is. Swiping between home screens is slower than on my Legend and it takes a more firm/resolute (I have to overerly excagerate the finger movement) to get it to move sometimes. It starts moving, but then it stops.
Ive got a small metal piece stuck between screen and phone body, so this might affect my device. Read own post on the matter http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1021486

This is exactly what I have noticed. You might could say, it's just too sensitiv.
I haven't had any sensitivity issues - so far so good
I have a mate who got this phone & he is having issues with applications opening without him touching the screen he just has to put his finger about 2mm from screen & they open eg messages/camera etc.
Anyone else having this problem ?
Is there a setting he can change to fix this sensitivity issue especially as he has moved from an old Nokia non smartphone ?

Yup mine is like this too.
lol. seriously, the guys who reviewed must have been smoking something really good
or they were plain prejudiced or paid to say so.
i would dare say this is the best touch screen i have ever used.
the sensitivity is just great... feels good to touch!
Same sensitivity as my desire... better than my galaxy s 4g...
Hi, this is my second HTC one, and it seems to lag behind my previous one.
For example, when I click on a story in Blinkfeed, the usual animation is for the bottom dock to fly up, and be replaced by the story. On this new handset, the bottom dock freezes in the middle of the screen for a second, and then the story eventually loads.
In another example, the keyboard seems to register touches a few too many split seconds after me typing, so that there's a noticeable lag as I type.
I don't have any power saving features on either!
Is this normal?
The only lag I have come across is while playing Simpsons tap out
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app

the only lag i get is playing this game too. . . I think EA needs to optimise it a little better. Even real racing and modern combat it dont lag. Just this one.
Oh, Tapped out is a Battery Killer also .. .lol. When i go into view the Battery Stats tapped out is at top!

Maybe what you're having is a hardware issue? You didn't install any Custom ROMs right?
lag ha .... hahah haha haha
I think the OP got the S4 and H1 mixed up
In all seriousness, no lag thus far except in crappy non optimized apps.

Post your Nexus 5 Screen On time here lets see who wins*!!!!!!!(**JUST FOR FUN**)
Here is mine!!!!!
How to display images properly....all i can see is a small box
so you just put your screen on low brightness and just kept it on the whole time.. whats the point? interesting screen on times when there is also use, this is a "faked" screen on time. at least post your use, if there was any.
I think we have a thread like these already

might as well say that you used it to intricately run an entire corporation. but the fact is, you dont show your use, and i cant just believe it. to me it seems like you didnt want to show your no actual use, so you didnt post it. no post = no use. and thats not being rude at all, thats just being truthful.

y34! l3z c wh0 w33nz d4w6! d0 17z!
Congrats on wasting a day not doing anything!
First, I call shananigans ....that's impossible with real usage....unless you maybe only read a book on a reader app.....though most likely you set the screen timeout to 30 minutes and walked away after waking it repeatedly .
Second, here's the share your battery results thread. No need for another.
