I currently have the latest version of Skydragon installed on my M8 (latest for lollipop) and I am having issues when I restart my phone. My homescreen becomes super zoomed and my icons are huge and I also get a repeated error stating that "HTC dot view has stopped unexpectedly". I have to restore my backup every time I restart my phone or if it dies. Real annoying. Now it's doing it at random times but the home screen pages look cut off like they cut half swiped and stuck. It's weird and again, annoying! Please help if anyone has encountered this and knows a fix. I do not use dot view so i could try uninstalling it with a reinstall of SD but I really don't want to do that. I hope it's not the rom because I love it and it's the only one I can use that is compatible with fast charge. Insertcoin being the only other rom I have successfully installed without issue. Not compatible with fast charge. Please help! I'm sick of running my restores! Thanks!

i dont know why this is happening but every do often my icon text in the app drawer gets thrown off to the right. Any idea why this would happen? Im using the latest cyanogen mod with kspec theme. My phones only having that problem along with the 3g/EDGE issues, but im no business person that has to have 3g all the time so my main concern is the alignment with the icon text. I will try to get a screen shot if possible on here. But anyone know what I can do about this?
Thanks!
has been happening for me since stock. Unsure why, reboot usually fixes it for me.
Mine too, it happens sometimes and it fixes itself sometimes. (Had to reboot sometimes too) Does the rooted user has any experience with these ? Mine is stock
This is a pretty common problem with near all N1s, looks like an update from google is needed
I restart the device and everything become alright. Thanx all
Yes my N1 is rooted and i am running CM 5.0.5 i have the latest Amon Ra Recovery (Green Care bear) and i have the black Menu bar installed...come to think of it i didn't have these problems before i installed the black menu bar, but that might just be me being picky. who knows.
stock N1 does this, usually it messes up the text on an application that has just been installed
give it a try for yourself
eventually it seems to fix itself
Heh, remember this happening the first time when I installed Cyans rom. Scared me a little, but yeah, never had a time when a reboot didn't fix it.
Mine is stock, happens to me all the time but lately every app in the drawer goes bonkers. Just add it to the list I guess, I do hope the copious software bugs are fixed before any big update come out (like flash/ 2.2 in general) . Im going to really love this phone once the UI is stable.
Hi guys,
Not sure if anyone else has ever experienced the same problem. I'm running Hyperdroid GBX v11.0 on my HD2 and all works great with the exception of Pandora. From time to time it goes into stuttering mode where the sounds is interrupted constantly and the "P" symbol in the taskbar is flickering. Doesn't look like it's a problem with being in and out of service/coverage but more like there is an issue with this specific app.
Tried reinstalling, rebooting etc. - nothing worked. There are times when it works completely normal and then it starts up again, can't make out a pattern. Has anyone ever had the same problem with Pandora?
thanks!
reinstall Rom and wipe all data
Hi,
I'm very new to the custom rom scene. I have the Incredible S (2.3.5 android version, 3.0 HTC sense) with the android revolution HD 2.2.0 installed. Everything was fine and dandy when i unlocked and rooted it to get to this point.
Everything was smooth but as the days went by, I noticed that my phone would just get extremely slow..chugging by just to open up message windows...anything, then it would get REALLY slow and the the tell me "force close" or " keep waiting" since the whole interface was "not responding". REgardless of what i press, it is just super slow, the screen shuts off from inactive use, and I can't use it anymore. I know it is a problem with some lag. I have to take out the battery and reboot the phone just to get it to work again, to which it works perfectly fine till it does the same thing again...later on. It can happen while surfing the web, texting, checking phone status, anything...very frustrating...
advice? I really like the HD at this point but i'm at the point where i'm out of options.....and with my limited knowledge I dont know what to do since i banked on this one just working
Did you use the superwipe script before flashing the Rom? Although in all honesty I would roll back to the previous version (2.1.3 IIRC). It's as close to perfection that I have experienced on this phone, the 2.2.0 for me was... disappointing, both battery and stability-wise.
yes i did use the superwipe included. I deleted this "call delay patch" app that fixed my phone's lag at the start of every phone call....(ironically, deleting it still "fixed" it). So far it hasn't crashed, but if it does I will look into downgrading.
It is the same protocol right? Superwipe -> installing from SD card (the older version)
Yeah, same install procedure.
Not sure what is going on. I experienced it on stock rom, and I'm also experiencing it on Android Revolution HD Rom.
It seems like whenever the phone is tasked by an app opening or closing, I experience a random reboot.
Anyone know whats causing it?
Yeap me too, but only after closing final fantasy IV.. Dunno what's the deal here
°° no rest for the wiCKed °°

Me, too, but I didn't catch any regularity, yet.
I am on stock ROM.
One time a had a crash report from htc, but most times I only realize it, because I have to re-enter my pin.
Today I realised, that long-pressing the power-button does restart the phone without any other input.
Maybe it's that?
I'm using developer edition and have been suffered from heavily random reboot.
The phone rarely rebooted (2 or 3 times) while I was using it but just kept rebooting if I left it idle (5 reboots in 20 mins). I cannot reproduce the reboot because it was so random. One day, it just kept me annoying by rebooting itself more than a dozen time. The other day it just went super smooth and stable. This reboot has been happening on both completely stock and custom (Rom, kernel).
Anyone got a clue?
If you know a certain action is causing the reboot get a logcat, there's an app called catlog on the play store. Press record, repeat the action, after it reboots get the logcat and post it here

Same issue here! I'm using TrickDroid though. Has anyone tried this with 4.2.2 to see if it still happens?

I'm using Android Revolution ROM on 4.2.2., same thing. It happens once in a blue moon, and it's only on wake when I hit the power button. The whole phone freezes and reboots.
Is everyone here on the Developer's Edition?
I'm having the same issue, dev edition stock except recovery, and root. Some days it reboots, other days its fine. Not exactly sure whats up w/ that

I'm gonna go ahead and bump this, seeing as I'm facing the same issue on my 2 day old device.
At first I thought it was a problem with 4.1.2, but even after upgrading to 4.2.2 the issue is still there.
ViperOne 2.1.0 the same trouble
Hello,
I confirm the same problem on ViperOne ROM. I have tried out ElementalX 3.4 and Bulletproof kernels. But it seems to be kernel independent.
I attached the log, my configuration is as described in my signature except that I use Bulletproof kernel right now.
It is quite frustrating cause I just wanted to play a movie on my TV using Hama MHL cable, but everytime I connect my phone to the adapter the phone reboots, then it gets stuck on HTC logo, then I have to reboot it manually holding power button. I am also experiencing a reboot right after phone boots up.
This is such a serious issue that I am thinking of going back to stock kernel, but I am not sure if it will help
Any hints?
EDIT: I just installed stock kernel, but still the same, really does not seem to be a problem of the kernel
EDIT2: still trying to find the out whats the problem, I did a clean reinstallation of everything, even w/o using Titanium Backup, well, MHL still causes reboots
I have been using CM11 for a while now and I am experiencing frequents hangs and hiccups. In particular the systems doesn't seem to be able to handle an installation, what I mean is that whenever I install or update an app the system hangs like if it can't handle a multitasking session, the systems freezes. Also, I ofent have my device frozen and I can't turn it on, the screen stays black for long periods, in the order of 5 minuts or more. I'd say this ROM is not functional. Is there anyone else who is experiencing the same problems? I am not sure whether the ROM is not working properly because of some setting I changed but well... I was thinking about going back to stock or to re-format and start over with a fresh CM11 because it might also be that I did something wrong. Any comment or suggestion, personal experiences? is CM11 working on your xperia sp's?

It did start lagging after a few weeks and for me the recent button took forever (3 secs ! thats a lot since it never took that much long) to open recent menu. So I reinstalled it not knowing whether it was my fault or CM and to my surprise after a few weeks it did it again and I switched to PAC rom. Never looked back. IMO pac rom is the best experience of kitkat on sp.
