[Q] Android Auto (Community ROM) very low output over media - Android Auto General

I'm wondering if anyone can help me with a sound volume issue. I can't work out how to boost it.
I've used 3 different kernels on android 5.1.1 (on a Note 3) Latest Darklord, Civ and Idle.
Android Auto doesn't fall under the usual volume controls as it's exclusively controlled by the car (ie if I use the volume rocker on the phone when media is playing, the bar moves but the sound doesn't). Everything else (except media) is fine. It worked fine under the usual Samsung 5.0 ROM. Is this a kernel related thing? I know the sound isn't pushed through the usual suspects (ie Aux/BT), it goes via USB. But I dunno how to boost.
Any ideas?

[Q] Bluetooth problems with kit kat.

Hi. On AHRD 41.0. I got new jay bird blue tooth headphones for Xmas. When I start streaming music the leu tooth volume maxes out and the slider doesn't hold the lowered volume consistently. I have been reading that this is an issue. Are there any mods /tweaks out there that people use? I have been combing threads and not finding anything useful. Thanks.

I fell back to 4.3 ahrd 31.6 and all is well. Kit kat is the issue.
Upgraded from 4.3 to HTC One Developer Edition on 4.4 w/ Sense 5.5
Had bluetooth jumping issue. A reboot fixes the issue if the first app used is stock music app.
Basically
Connected a bluetooth headphones to phone.
Volume button on headphone and volume button on phone work fine with Stock Android Music Player.
When Pandora is launched, bluetooth volume jumps to maximum setting on device - very deafening!
Hitting volume down button on headset OR on phone, moves the volume lower, but it continually jumps up to highest setting. Therefore unable to reduce volume in Pandora. Using bluetooth volume via the onscreen slider works, but it is still too loud at the lowest setting. The same behavior on the lock screen or if phone is asleep. The same effect continues to occur while Pandora is on the "Now Playing" screen or if I leave Pandora on the "Now Playing" screen. Using stock music app now has the same issue.
If the Pandora app is set to go to the "main screen" which displays "stations" bluetooth control of the volume is returned to normal. Both the controls on the headphone and on the phone work properly whereas pandora volume, bluetooth volume and headphone volume is all in sync. The volume jumping around stops. Now if I leave the Pandora app running and got to home screen, lock screen or allow the phone to sleep. The bluetooth volume works fine and doesn't jump around.
Going back into "now playing screen" or leaving pandora in "now playing" screen causes issues.
If you don't have pandora, check what other apps you have that running that are using music output to headphone.
Sideloading Pandora 4.4 apk fixes issues. Sideloading 5.0 re introduces the issue.

Separate system volume and bluetooth on Android 4.4.4?

Hi, I have a problem:
- As you know some, since Android 4.4, you can control the system volume with the volume buttons of bluetooth headphones (if they have), whereas in previous versions the system volume and bluetooth were separate.
The problem is this; When increase/decrease the volume with buttons of the headphones, it is very uneven, that is, or is too low or too high.
So I wonder if there is a module (xposed), application or configuration to separate the volumes? (the system can increase/decrease only the volume buttons smarthpone and bluetooth only with integrated buttons)
My Smartphone is Samsung S3 L710 with Rom Bliss Stalk 4.4.4.
I could also use this for my Nexus5. Navigon has a problem with being too quiet with a Bluetooth car device. They say that they use system value instead of Bluetooth value.

Bluetooth volume control from speaker

So I was using RR Marshmallow, but just went to the stock Marshmallow ROM the other day. When I was using RR and I was connected to my bluetooth speaker, changing the volume on the speaker changed the bluetooth volume on the phone (i.e. would actually show volume on phone changing). Since I went to stock, the volume on the speaker is separate from the phone. I would prefer it to be in sync and changing one changes the other, but I don't see any way to set that. Anyone have any advice?
Thanks!

Can I increase the audio volume for a particular Bluetooth Device

When my phone is connected via Bluetooth to my car's hands-free kit, some audio could do with being made a little louder.
For example the navigation prompts from Google Maps are plenty loud enough, but some audio-book MP3s played via MD Player and phone call audio could do with being a bit louder.
I have the volume on the Note 8 and the hands-free kit on maximum.
Is there a way I can apply an audio boost when connected to that particular Bluetooth device (or have it controlled via Tasker)?
There seem to be lots of audio boost/control apps in the Playstore, but many seem to allow control of volume for a device without the ability to boost the volume above "normal".
I tried "Precise Volume (+EQ/Booster)", but the boost function didn't seem to make any difference.
If it makes any difference, I'm using Android Auto when connected to the car.
Bump - Anyone?
the only app in the play store that I have found that actually boosts the volume on this phone without being rooted is one called "volume Booster Goodev"
be careful, though, as it can really crank the volume up..
Thanks for that .... had been looking for a volume boost on the headphone out without rooting and this seems to do the job perfectly.

Head unit not controlling Android Auto volume properly

Hi folks!
I have recently bought a new car and I'm having the following issue: if my media volume on my mobile is low or mute, I can't listen to music on Android Auto on my head unit, as it is very low or mute, just like the mobile. If I volume up on my head unit, I still can't listen, it's like the head unit volume control works separated from Android Auto and my mobile volume.
To listen to music on Android Auto, I have to volume up my mobile (using volume buttons), and then I can increase or decrease volume on my head unit.
As far as I remember, on my previous car I have never had that issue before. I don't recall worrying about if my mobile was mute or with low volume, I just connected the cable and everything was good.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to set up this correctly?
Testing some scenarios, here's what I have found so far.
The issue happens on PowerAmp. I have tested other players (Youtube Music, Fermata Auto) and even if media volume is mute on my mobile, both still can play music on Android Auto.
