Nexus 6 support Qualcomm quick charge 2.0.
Can i use the note 4 quick charge 2.0 to charge the nexus 6?
Is it 9V 1.67A, or 12V?

Quick Charge is a feature of Qualcomm, the manufacturer of the CPU/SoC for the phone. It is a standard for their hardware so any phone supporting Quick Charge will work with any Quick Charge charger. You want to be sure the charger and the phone are using the same version of Quick Charge (v1 or v2). See https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon/quick-charge for compatible phones and chargers.
I lost my Motorola charger and picked up a Power Partners 30W charger that is listed as compatible and seems to be faster than the Motorola but I didn't do any specific measurements. Typically, I use a Qi (Tylt Vu) changer and don't plug in.
QC 2.0 as mentioned above is a Qualcomm feature. Any certified QC 2.0 charger will work and quick charge your nexus or Note. I don't see he Samsung stock Note 4 charger in Qualcomms site for approved devices but maybe they haven't updated it in a while. It should work just fine. I use a Incipio QC 2.0car charger for when I need s boost on my phone or for road trips. I normally lose battery while using a non QC2.0 car charger running GPS and all of the goodies. In the end any QC 2.0 charger will work on the Nexus 6 which supports QC and you will be fine. They will also work on the Note 4.
So once the disappointment of my spank new nexus 5x not being qualcomm quick charge 2.0 compatible (I found this out yesterday) after buying new chargers and batteries (portable charger thingamagigs) had subsided I was pleasantly surprised that many of my battery packs were actually charging at what the nexus 5x calls 'rapidly charging'.
So far I can report that these chargers tell me they are rapidly charging:
Aukey 54W 5 port qualcomm quick charge 2.0 wall charger says rapidly charging from both the qc qc 2.0 port and the other ones too.
Anker 2nd Gen astro 6400mah battery says rapidly charging
Anker 2nd Gen astro e5 16000mah battery says rapidly charging
Aukey 10000mah qcqc2.0 (pb-t1) doesn't seem to do anything? Doesn't charge it at all works on the original n5 (without qc obviously). But I find this very odd? I was wrong it does indeed report rapidly charging
How is everyone else getting on with your portable power?
My guess is even though you are getting the rapidly charging rating, you are likely getting 2a of the possible 3a max charging amps. It means a good handshake for fast charge is occuring even if the source of the charge is incapable of 3a.

Choetech has a few fast wireless chargers listed on Amazon.
1: Single Coil - Pad-type
2: Single Coil - Circle-type with Smart Lighting
3: 3 Coils - Pad-type with Smart Lighting
I was researching this yesterday. What you have to remember about wireless pads is that typically a 2.0 pad will charge similar to a Non fast Charge 2 plugin-in charger. So like a standard charger. Once 3.0 ones are out I assume it will be a similar scenario. Hopefully some day down the line they will be just as fast as their plugin counterparts.
As far as those links above, 10w max isn't very strong considering a plugin 3.0 is about 18w and even a 2.0 is 15w. So 10 watt seems pretty dinky for a wireless still. Still I guess better than the old 5 watt ones.
Tronsmart is making a fast charging capable qi charger which should be nice. I used to have a TYLT VU (angled qi charger) for my Nexus 6 that as great. I would buy an angled one because it's easier to see your phone on and impossible to not have it charge.

After some more digging I found this: Nekteck Wireless Charging Pad (18w QC 2.0 Adaptive)
Looks very promising; 18w, slightly tilted instead of laying down flat, smart lighting.

It does look nice, but it is just the pad, correct, you still need to use your own samsung charger?

Correct. You can also buy a "QC 2.0 Adaptive Fast Charger" like this.
please use the Samsung original or certified third-party 18W QC 2.0 adapter as its power source.
Already got one on order so maybe will get this too. Keep in mind that still this will NOT charge as fast as a 3.0 18w direct plug. Not sure why that ends up being the case, but that is what I have read.

"Fast Charge Model(10W Output Max) ONLY "
So does that mean if you have an 18w source it still only delivers 10w to the phone? Seems hardly worth it. I sent them an inquiry about this. (it's not listed on their website)

I received that charger 3 days ago.
I can not test it on the S7 just yet of course, however I have tested it on other phones and it does charge faster than a standard Qi wireless charger does.
I will post up some information about this charger, and the Cheotech 10w circle fast charger that I have also, as soon as the phones arrive.

A lot of energy is lot due to inefficiencies as heat while charging.

Hi guys, I'm new to wireless charging, and I'm a bit confused as to which wireless fast charger I should buy for the S7...is there anything different about the wireless charging on the S7 than the S6, Note 5, etc.? Are there new chargers coming out soon that are somehow better than the ones currently on the market? I'm just wondering which charging pads would give me the fastest charge. If anyone could shed some light on this for me, that'd be helpful
Here is what i got for our Note 5's, my wife and I both have one. They have worked great so far. You need to use your Samsung fast charging adapter with it. For $19.99 I could not be happier.

These so called fast charge wireless models are all over the place with specs. I'd wait for the newer crop to be out and tested.
My Choetech fast wireless charging pad still works great so far. I will recommend Cho

My Choetech fast wireless charging pad still works great so far. I will recommend Choetech. Very stable and warm slightly. They have many kinds of wireless chargers, which has lots of good feedbacks on Amazon. :good:
Well now that there is a report that the s7 and s7e do not support quick charge 3.0 (sad) I'm not sure what's what.

That looks like a good one. I have a pad already, If I use one of the new power supplies will the charge fast, or need to upgrade the pad????
You'll need to use a Quickcharge 2.0 plug, to have it fast charge. It's not going to go any faster if you use a QC 3.0 unit though.

I am thinking on purchasing Anker PowerCore Slim 10000 PD(18W) Power Bank. I think that this should be sufficient enough to provide a quick charge for the phone on the go. And i personally prefer the ANker products.

Even 100W PD chargers throttled back to 3A at 10V - if they supported PPS. If not they dropped to 3A at 9V. Samsung's brick was the only one out there with full 45W Superfast 2.0 charge support.

I purchased it and have been playing with it.
1) It is small. Fit in the palm of you hand small. Easy slip into a pocket while travelling small. Similar form factor to the old Samsung lightning chargers -- they are rectangular while it is square, but similar volume.
2) I don't see that it is faster than my existing 65W PD/PPS. Both give a max of 7.2A @ 4.1V -- but it could be cable limited. I have three supposed 100W / 5A cables. If you add 1A for the discharging load (Ampere reports 1A is discharging when unplugged), it's providing ~ 34W. But that's using Ampere which tells me what the state of the battery is, not what the actual current/voltage from the power supply is.
Overall, I'm a little real-life disappointed that I don't seem to be seeing 45W charging, but think it is worth the $30. If you have 30 min between flights, it can definitely top off an empty tablet battery.

So I've been on several flights with this small charger. It is now my go-to for travel. What I like is that it charges the tablet so fast I don't feel bad disconnecting and charging my phone or ear buds for awhile. It only takes a few minutes to top up the tablet battery back to full. And no problem running on 240V power.
