[Q] Are there any led notification?

I know we dont have a led notification. but i saw a red led while my phone is charging and someone was calling me. and when i look my phone on the sunlight(not straight, with a little inclination) i see a black bar( darker than phone's top) left of the htc logo.
so, we have NOT a led notif officially. can we make it glow?

i think its a light sensor, if you ring someone and they answer, put your thumb over that bit and the screen goes blac, move your thumb away and it lights up again so i dont think it can be done
thats the proximity sensor;we have no notification led from what i can tell(i dont really need one though but it would have been nice)

but i saw it was glowing red i swear and that was maybe a bug cos the screen was in battery screen when i got call
it does glow red when you get/make a call but i dont know the technical details, all i know is that its a proximity sensor that activates when calls are involved or with apps(changing music with it etc)
It's a proximity sensor, it cannot be controlled. It lights whenever out needs to
Sent from my HTC Desire C
you can control the sensor via apps

But it is not bright enough to be used as notification LED
You really wouldn't be able to configure the light. It's part of a sensor, ffs

you CANNOT use the sensor as a notification led.
i was saying you can control the sensor with apps like wave control etc. not only when you get calls.
with wave control you can change tracks, pause the music player etc by using the sensor to detect hand movement.

By switching the sensor on and off we can make the led blink but as i said the led is not bright enough and will not be visible in most of the cases, it will also lead to battery wastage

Any way to receive notifications when screen on?

Hi,
I'm often using my Note 3 as multifunction car device - camera recording, bluetooth music streaming, recording GPS track and running navigation - all at the same time while the screen is on... Problem is, when I get a text or mail, I don't get notification on Gear - because my Note 3 is having screen on. Is there any way to change it? I want to see navi app on Note 3 and get my notifications on my wrist...
Perhaps a fake "screen off" process?

I don't think so.

Screen lights up with every notification. How do I stop this?

Just came from an LG G5 and never had this issue.
My phone screen turns on every time I get a notification whether it's textra, gmail, snapchat, etc. I even have the option of "wake up screen" in textra set to off. I can't find an option anywhere to turn this off for my notifications. Am I missing something?
On my G5 my phone would just sound and my LED notification would blink, then I would have all the notifications on my lock screen when I turned on the phone.

Is there a notification LED?

I know about the logo on the back of the phone but that isn't very useful to me. Is there a notification light in the speaker area like on the previous razer phone in between the camera and sensor?
Nope. The Logo is now the "notification LED"

Background Hardware Use (Mic/Cam)

Hi,
I seem to be having trouble with background hardware services (specifically the cameras and bluetooth mics):
1. Bluetooth headset calls through messenger apps like viber or whatsapp loses use of the microphone around 1 minute into a call (like being muted). I have to unlock the screen and switch back to the app to get microphone use back.
2. The background video recording app (SCOS) loses control of the cameras (both front and back) and cannot use it (maybe cannot instantiate?) around a minute after the screen is turned off. Switching cameras or restarting the app is the only fix.
I have already disabled the Battery Optimization for the concerned apps, plus as many services as I can find, but still the problem persists. The only solution is to keep the screen on, which nullifies the point of using a headset and a background video recorder.
This seems to be connected with Android P's new privacy settings
Anyone have an idea how to solve this?
