Unlocked Sprint G4 not recognizing Cricket sim card after LG camera repair - Sprint LG G4

This has been a long back and forth conundrum that neither Sprint, Cricket or LG seem to be able to help me with. I purchased a used Sprint G4 on ebay and had it domestic sim unlocked over the phone with Sprint. I used it perfectly with a Cricket sim (mms and lte worked perfectly). A few days later I had to send it in to LG repair for the infamous "camera has stopped worrking" error. After getting the phone back (same IMEI), the phone no longer recognizes the Cricket sim card. It recognized a Sprint sim card that LG returned it with but not the original Cricket sim. I've contacted Sprint and they've repeatedly confirmed (after many insistent calls and chat messages) that the phone is unlocked. Cricket tells me everything is fine on their end, and LG tells me to ask Sprint to unlock it or provide an unlock code. Completely at a loss so any input would be extremely appreciated.

Don't know if I have that option. Lg returned the phone upgraded with Marshmallow zva
edit* Going to try to revert back to zv6 and see if it'll work then.

you have to be on zv6 first I'm not to familiar yet with this phone. I unlocked mine and had the invalid sim I had to do the build prob edit and then it took care of invalid sim but u have to be rooted to do the prop edit

** update
-Reverted back to ZV6 and rooted using this : howto-downgrade-to-zv6
-Then followed the sim unlock guide mentioned here: Sim unlock guide
Only getting 3G but calls are working perfectly which is much better than nothing. I'm going to read around the Sim unlock guide to see if I can tweak a couple settings to get MMS and LTE working.

How can I unlock my phone to work with prepaid SIM card?

I honestly tried to find the answer to this everywhere before posting. I already have the unlock code from HTC and Tmobile. I simply need to figure out how to unlock the phone.
The instructions I received with the unlock code said that the phone would notify me that the SIM is unregistered and I would put in my unlock code at that point. I assume this is only the case on a vanilla version of Android or whatever the current official release is.
As you may have guessed, I have my phone rooted and have been running CM for a while. When the prepaid SIM is in the phone CM does seem to realize that its there and there is a SIM tool app but it does nothing. I have flashed to a couple different customer ROMS including dwang and a couple older version of CM.
Is there any way that I can actually unlock my phone without having to unroot and go back to the official android release from tmobile?
Thank you to anybody that can help me.

Is it The AT&T Prepaid sim card. If it is then i don't think it would work. i have an unlocked g1 with an AT&T sim card and i unlocked it before rooting. So guess u have to do the same. hope i helped
Right now I am trying with a TracFone SIM card but I could try with an AT&T card from a friend in a couple of days. I don't even really need to get the service to work at this point.
The two things I really want are just to be able to unlock my phone and backup my contacts onto a secondary SIM card and I am having no luck doing either.

Question about sideloading OTA's

I got my nexus 6 from Google and am using Cricket as my cell provider. From what I gathered carriers are handling the ota's? So I went ahead and decided to sideload a 5.1 update.zip that came from At&t because I didn't want to unlock my bootloader and Cricket doesn't seem to be sending out updates. It works but my carrier is reading as At&t instead of Cricket in which I suspect because its a At&t ota. I want to go back to it saying Cricket instead so I was wondering if I was to just go ahead and flash the update from google's webpage and unlock my bootloader will I be back to stock (the one that it came with from google) and have my right carrier logo be shown? Also I wanted to relock my bootloader so I just need to follow the steps seen in the forums in order to do so? Thanks for your help!

google sends out all otas, not carriers. carriers have nothing to do with it. its when you put in your sim card, that the rom knows whatvyou are using. you can use any of the factory images, and any if them will work on any carrier. yours says att because cricket is using atts lines.
That's what I figured, the only thing that is bugging me about it is that my friend who is using cricket also next to me is using a nexus 5 and cricket as well and there's is showing up as cricket. I don't get how mine is connecting to At&t and theirs not. I may need to redo my apns perhaps? Thanks for your help

if att isnt billing you, but cricket is, i wouldnt even worry about it. it is a cricket sim, right? it could just be a lollipop bug thats showing you the network instead of your provider.
Problem solved
I unlocked my bootloader, then manually installed the stock 5.1 update following a guide found in the forums. Afterwards I relocked my bootloader ( I like the added security) following another guide in the forums and sure enough the cricket logo is back. I guess sideloading the At&t update made the phone think it was running through At&t radio's? Throughout the day I started to notice problems with my phone thinking it was on At&t's network (idk why) but now everything is working well and even getting a stronger signal. I didn't receive the 5.1 update in over a month and figured somehow it didn't get pushed to me. Either way I'll probably wait awhile longer next time to see if I get 5.1.1 (or whatever the next update will be for the Nexus 6) pushed to me once its released. Thanks for all your help, hopefully if anyone using a Nexus 6 on cricket runs into this problem it will help.

[Q] SIM Network Unlock Issue Even After Flashing with AT&T Stock Rom

Hi All -
I've searched everywhere for the answer to this and haven't been able to find it, so I figured I'd post here. This is the scenario:
1) I have a Moto X that is locked to AT&T
2) I wanted to give the phone to a friend who is on Sprint, so I paid for an unlock code
3) Even after unlocking and inserting the Sprint SIM, I still received the "SIM Network Unlock PIN" message
4) I now want to basically restore the phone completely back to the way it was (locked to AT&T), so it can be used with an AT&T SIM
5) I flashed the phone using RSDLite and the correct ATT ROM, but after the flash finished successfully and I insert a valid AT&T SIM, I still receive the same unlock message.
So my question is basically, can I get the phone completely back to being locked to AT&T, essentially the way it was out of the box? I'm also willing to flash it with Cyanogen or another ROM if that would help.
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks for your time.
I have same issue, I had my Sim working for a couple of days but I wanted to return to stock to receive further updates and I flashed it with correct at&t firmware package but now there is a popup every time when I insert Sim about unlock code and I am stuck ... I think that's because of erasing modem st1 and modem st2 during flashing with RSDlite ... Is there anybody to suggest something helpful

Galaxy S6 relocked itself to T-Mobile after 7 months ?

Hi everyone,
I've been using an SM-920T 64GB Galaxy S6 bought from T-Mobile last summer. I did a permanent unlock using the T-Mobile application and since July I've been using the phone on the AT&T network. I just rebooted my phone today like I always do and upon restarting I got an "Invalid SIM Card" and it brings up a SIM network unlock PIN window that I can dismiss or enter a code into. What is going on?
I'm running XtreStoLite Deo 2.4 if that makes any difference.
Also, does anyone have the T-Mobile Device Unlock apk that comes stock with the phone? This is how I unlocked the phone in the first place but I don't have that app anymore since I run a custom rom, and the play store won't let me download it because I don't have a t-mobile SIM card in the phone.
Thanks!
Well for the benefit of whoever has the same issue. I flashed back the stock ROM via ODIN, ran the T-Mobile Device Unlock app, it said Unlock Unsuccessful in big, but right below it said the phone has been unlocked permanently. I put in my AT&T SIM and it was working again. Then I flashed back my TWRP backup and the phone remained unlocked. The non-Tmo ROMs get the unlock popup when a foreign SIM card is inserted, so getting an unlock code should work, but I didn't want to wait 3 days to receive one.

Can you tell me what ROM you used? I have the g920T also, and bought it USED unlocked from ebay, but it had the FRP (factory reset protection) lock on it. I had my US cellular SIM card in it, even though I was stuck at the "enter your previous used google account on this device" and the SIM seemed to work (saw the LTE bars above).
But the only way for me to bypass the FRP was to flash to the ROM to stock (which I used the G920T tmobile ROM) and I got to the home screen but now it says "Invalid SIM card. Network locked SIM card inserted" just how you were saying.
When I try using the Tmobile unlock app, it says "Server not responding. Please try again later." .
Please help!

fyi regarding sim unlock and rooting

Fyi if you root before you sim unlock tmobile says it locks out the app and you cant sim unlock it.ive been going round and round the last week with tmobile over this.they say it cant be sim unlocked because it shows in their system as rooted.even though i did a kdz restore on 20o the unlock app doesnt work and tmobile cant over ride it they said they tried and it failed.on the app i keep getting error device not recognized by your service provider call customer care
yes, this is true, i actually had very same issue, tmobile keeps telling me the device is not theirs because it is rooted lady said she tried to override but cannot get it through. ish i would have known this before rooting. is ther anyway we can trick it to look like it is not. i figured rooting would not matter as long as have stock rom. guess not
I rooted my device way last year when it was in 20N. I had it rooted and was able to unlock to phone. Was running stock at the time. This is kinda scary. Its also a shame really, maybe something tripped in 20o that detects root. Who knows.
Couldn't you just flash the 20o KDZ and get back to stock? Then unlock?

your answer can be found on OP.
I have no problem to unlock with the app.
Mine is 100% stock rooted (with adapt client removed).
I revert to the 20i rooted by MicroMod777 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...-mm-20i-global-20e-stock-rooted-roms-t3317932) and then perform the Device Unlock app. It worked while I'm running that ROM, but once I revert back to CM13, it ask for a SIM network unlock PIN.
I contacted T-Mobile and has been stonewalled that they don't provide the SIM network unlock PIN.
I'm on rooted Extreme rom and I'm unable to unlock using Device Unlock app (Unlocked Failed: This mobile device is not eligible for unlock) despite TMobile said my device is eligible through multiple chat sessions.
Now I'm going to go back to stock and try again
