Hello!
I have a Teclast X98 Air 3G (C5J8) with Android 5.0 and Windows 10, all functioning properly unless the OTA function in Android!
Whenever I search for updates give me the following message: 'Checking, Please wait ... ' and then 'Check failed! Please check your network! '
The network is connected (both wi-fi and 3G !!)
How can I solve this problem without having to resort to update 'manual' and run the risk of not being the most suitable version ?!
Thank you for your help! :good:
And sorry about my english!
Best regards,
AM

Hello!
But the message is 'Checking, Please wait ... ' and then 'Check failed! Please check your network! '!!
Not 'Is no update' or 'Your devide is up to date', for example!
Always gives connection error!
thanks!

hey zncl123 i was who had your problem too i tested the last room on neoopek Only T E S T E R S [New CM6.0 Full + Barebone][29-11-2010] but i had no service error too but with this version [Sony X1 only][Barebone][CM6.1][11-10-2010] if you try that settings maybe you have the solution here, i tried to connect with another provider here and not problem at all you always receive a good connection on android you can restart everytime you want and you are going to have phone service so the problem is the configuration of your phone provider so i'm on the same problem too and im back to the [Sony X1 only][Barebone][CM6.1][11-10-2010] to have android on my x1 i hope you can connect like me and im sorry about my english
Hmmm, when I check for an update using the 'settings -> about phone -> software update -> check for update' I get an error message saying 'Connection failed because of validation error' (Actually it's in dutch, 'Verbinding mislukt door validatiefout').
Anyone else with similar issues? Internet through wifi is working just fine so the connection is ok.
The same error here.. I think there is no server yet, because there is no update yet. ?

That's what I though as well, but some ppl were reporing dates about updates (think they're confused by the scheduled next update check) so was wondering if I was missing something... guess not Cheers for the quick reply.
I'm from Poland, and my 2x is from Netherlands, and i got the same error ;p
Hi Fellas,
So here is my problem and i am sure you guys can fix it.
Phone-NOTE 1
Rooted-No
Current version-ICS
Country-India
Problem-I am trying tp update the firmware to JB on my phone using KIES ONLY because whatever i do if i check the OTA update it says"NO UPDATE AVAILABLE"
So anyways what happens is that it download the firmware update file and then after that when it tries to update/apply the update i get tjis freaking CHINESE/JAPANESE message and when i click OK it starts all over again
I have tried MULTIPLE SYSTEMS/MULTIPLE KIESINSTALLATIONS and STILL NO GO.
I have attached the screenshot of the error message and would really appreciate any help.I reaaly apologise in advance if there is any thread already created for this error.
I tried finding one but i couldnt.
Just got this phone brand new from Microcenter for the in-laws so don't want to root it and what not. When I try to run the update, all I get is:
Failed to update. An unspecified error has occurred
Please try again later
Phone is currently on Android 4.0.4 Blur_Version.77.10.16.MB886.ATT.en.US
Ideas? Any way to run the update off my PC or is OTA the only way?
I have the same error when trying to OTA update my Motorola Xoom 2...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hey guys!
I just wanted to download the kitkat update 4.4.4 via the update center, but it gave me an error back.
The download seems to start, but stucks for 3 seconds at 0% and stops with the error message "download not possible".
Does anybody know whats the problem here? Is somewhere a logfile to see what exactly the problem is?
Edit: I've found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2948116 but it doesn't seems helpful, because this is the log from the last update which was successful.
Thank you for your help!
According to logcat it might be error 504, gateway timeout.
-So is it a Sony server problem?
Seems to be a server issue, now it worked without any problem.
