as i know there is two types of Galaxy Tab , Galaxy Tab Wifi 3g and Galaxy Tab Wifi only , is it posible to port / use custom rom to change the Galaxy Tab Wifi only , to make calls as the Galaxy Tab Wifi 3g , CDMA ?
WiFi Tab will only make calls using VOIP solutions like Skype and so forth, since there is no cellular hardware radio to connect to a cellular tower like a regular cell phone does.
So, no.
I have a Sony Z Ultra, and have been disappointed at the lack of a successor, and the ME572CL looks really good for the price. Can it be used as a phone?
thanks!

This is a CL version NOT a C version of ME572, so it can be used as a phone !!!!
Yes
How did you manage to call from it?
I've been wondering this for over a year.
Of course i can call from it using viber, whatsapp, skype etc, but using the actual gsm line to make a REAL phone call.
If i can send text messages then it should be obvious that i can call from it, text messages use gsm line not data.
Waiting the answer from ASUS also...
Yes, you can use it as a mobile phone.
I make rom with call support: http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=640814&st=3600#entry57500611
Works as. a phone with FreedomPop
I just got a ASUS Memo 7, and use it as a phone with with my FreedomPop SIM. Here in FL, FreedomPop uses the AT&T network, so it works fine. You need to download the FreedomPop Messaging app, which can send SMS texts or make phone calls. Technically, the FreedomPop Messaging app is a VOIP app, but it uses the AT&T mobile network as the internet connection, you don’t need to be connected to WiFi at all. Best of all, FreedomPop is free for the first 200 minutes of phone calls, per month. FreedomPop also gives you 200MB of free data, which isn’t much... but is just enough for me to use the full functionality of the Waze GPS app in my car. So now, with the ASUS Memo 7 and FreedomPop, in my car I now have a full featured internet-connected GPS, which I can also use to make an emergency phone call if I need to
Hi everyone! I never had an issue with my iPhone 6 before, and I never had an issue too with my Note 4 before getting iPhone which had Lollipop installed on it while sending and receiving MMS using T-Mobile. I recently switched to Galaxy S8 from iPhone and it seems like it's kinda slow for S8 to do it. Is it because of the stock messaging app? Wi-Fi Calling is enabled if that matters too, as iPhone can still send and receive SMS/MMS and make/receive calls from others, even if I don't have signal in a rural place here in California, as long as I am connected to a high-speed Wi-Fi.
Any thoughts about this? Is anyone experiencing this too?
Thank you in advance!
help needed.
just bought a galaxy watch 3 and i can make calls from my watch tethered to my ph via bluetooth but cant recieve them.
the watch is a lte version but does not as yet have a esim type data plan. if someone rings me the watch does nothing but i do get notifications of texts ect no problem sms and whatsapp...... just not incoming calls. as i can easily make an outgoing call from my watch why can i not receive or even get a notification of an incoming call? tried emptying cashe . done a reset on the watch back to factory settings and also checked the obvious settings such as goodnight mode and all the mute type features.... spoke to samsung no luck ...... this should not be a limitation of the watch as its just making a call over bluetooth...........any ideas? forgot to mention im using a samsung s7 edge with the watch
When i receive phone calls i dont get the calls in my watch. The incoming calls setting is enabled in the samsung app
