Device: Moto X XT1052 Asia Retail
Bootloader Status: Unlocked
Current OS : Stock Lollipop ROM--XT1052 Retail Asia (Version: 222.27.5.ghost_row.AsiaRetail.en.03)--
Problem: Phone not showing any network signal
The problem started couple of weeks back. I went roaming, so put the phone in flight mode for a whole day and when I came back to non-roaming region turned the flight mode off. But then the network signal wouldnt come back. I'm not sure if this triggered the problem. But this is when it happened.
Ive been using CM12.1 OFFICIAL Nightly ROM then.
I tried changing the ROMs, RESULT : STILL NO NETWORK SIGNAL
I tried going back to STOCK( both kitkat and lollipop) RESULT : STILL NO NETWORK SIGNAL
I tried changing the radio firmware RESULT : STILL NO NETWORK SIGNAL
I cant even register on a network manually, no networks are shown when searched manually.
IMEI havent changed.
Now any help would be much appreciated, THANKS
I have same issue as yours too.
Contacted motorola, they asking me to send it to service centre.
Did all the step like downgrade and upgrade, change the modem etc etc,no success.seems like the modem hardware got problem.can read my sim card, but network not up.

If you did
mfastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
during your return to stock operation, then this shouldn't be happening unless you've got some H/W problem. Could you try doing the whole thing once again?
This (with some unnecessary steps) is what I used to get my phone back to stock when I had trouble.

See if this works for you. CM12 etc won't work if your modem firmware isnt properly installed. They replace system, not the hardware related things.

This is not so much a question, more of informing of my findings. So I finally managed to relock the bootloader of the phone, apparently it is possible with non dev version. Just had to run this with the latest T-Mobile 4.4.2 firmware:
mfastboot oem lock begin
mfastboot flash partition gpt.bin
mfastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
mfastboot flash logo logo.bin
mfastboot flash boot boot.img

It is confirmed as locked in the fastboot.
Code:
Device is LOCKED. Status Code: 2.
However, the boot logo still have the "bootloader unlocked warning", which was what I wanted to get rid off, this is even after flashing the stock logo.bin to the phone before relocking. I also noticed that even after it is locked, I am still able to flash the modified logo.bin (that replace the bootloader unlocked warning). I guess this will have to do, however, my intention was to returned the device to 100% stock.
I can understand why Motorola does it, but it's just bad for user security to have a big label to alert everyone that your phone is insecure.
Guys,
do you have any RELIABLE script for going back to STOCK ROM - with re-locking bootloader as well?
I created this, but it does NOT work on my Moto X (XT1052 - GB RETAIL)
(It worked only on my Moto G, but not Moto X.)
It showed some error like "No valid PIV block in SP for system" when I wanted to restore the GB RETAIL ROM from this source:

also, what ROM & Android version is on your phone now?

Thanks for reply.

Wait. I'm a little confused.
I read #2 saying your using the rom from that thread... so are you saying that you were running that GPE rom from that thread, but are trying to get back to stock by flashing the rom/SBF that goes with the RETAIL-GB_GHOST_KLA20.16-2.16_cid7_CFC_1FF_v2.xml you posted?
If so, after unzipping the "RETAIL-GB_GHOST..." SBF, you'd want to try the following commands from the folder where you unzipped the SFB after booting the phone to fastboot/bootloader mode....
Option 1 (based on Moto's web site and the XML you posted)
mfastboot flash partition gpt.bin
mfastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
mfastboot reboot-bootloader
mfastboot flash logo logo.bin
mfastboot flash boot boot.img
mfastboot flash recovery recovery.img
mfastboot flash system system.img
mfastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
mfastboot erase modemst1
mfastboot erase modemst2
mfastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
mfastboot erase cache
mfastboot erase userdata
mfastboot erase customize
mfastboot erase clogo
mfastboot oem lock
mfastboot reboot <- only if phone doesn't reboot after reporting the relock was successful
Option 2: (based on some threads here on XDA, and the XML you posted)
mfastboot oem lock begin
mfastboot flash partition gpt.bin
mfastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
mfastboot flash logo logo.bin
mfastboot flash boot boot.img
mfastboot flash recovery recovery.img
mfastboot flash system system.img
mfastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
mfastboot erase modemst1
mfastboot erase modemst2
mfastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
mfastboot erase cache
mfastboot erase userdata
mfastboot erase customize
mfastboot erase clogo
mfastboot oem lock
mfastboot reboot <- only if phone doesn't reboot after reporting the relock was successful
Try option 1 first. If it doesn't work, try option 2.
NOTE: by Mfastboot, I mean the Moto modified version of fastboot, not the one that comes with the standard Android SDK/Platform Tools. The moto modified Fastboot.exe can sometimes be found in a windows folder inside an SBF, or you can download from -> http://mark.cdmaforums.com/X-STUFF/Mfastboot-4.4.zip
Thanks A LOT from a desperate noob. This helped me a lot

Any luck on moto x?
Hi!
I have a Moto G dual sim and I recently updated my ROM to Lollipop XT1064 (biggest mistake in recent history!)
Things went really well for a day then I made two mistakes:
1- SU Binary required update so I told it I have TWRP recovery when I did not. that made my phone freeze and kept restarting before getting to the moto logo.
2- I then decided to flash back to 1068 to redo the whole thing, but I mistakenly used Moto x (it was a version that worked on Moto g single sim, I think.. not sure anymore)
Since then I have tried flashing 1068 4.4.4 stock ROM and every time i end up with no network signal (wifi NOR the both SIMs.)
I was able to flash modem files successfully and in my pursuit to fix wifi I had to flash other roms but now I cannot even fix the SIM signal.
Please note that I have no data that I care about, I want ANY ROM that make my phone more valuable than a paperweight.
To sum up:
- OEM is unlocked
- I get flash and get into custom recovery
- I am able to flash stock ROMs
- Was not able to get any ROM where WIFI works (not able to enable it. never worked since the problem started)
- Was able once to get the SIMs to work (were not ale to do it again although I repeated the same steps which were
Steps I used to flash stock ROMs:
mfastboot flash partition gpt.bin
mfastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
mfastboot flash logo logo.bin
mfastboot flash boot boot.img
mfastboot flash recovery recovery.img
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
mfastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
mfastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
mfastboot.exe erase modemst1
mfastboot.exe erase modemst2
mfastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
mfastboot erase cache
mfastboot erase userdata
mfastboot reboot
Steps to attempt to enable SIMs:
mfastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
mfastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
mfastboot reboot
I hope i provided enough info... if not, please let me know what to add.
Many thanks in advanced for helping or taking the time to read words of a desperate human being!
Hi, guys!
It's been about 24h since I had purchased my Moto X (Unlocked), and I've already broken ip
So here's the story of my unit:
From the box it came with 5.x, i've been using it for roughly two-three hours with Telus sim, everything was totally fine.
Then I got myself into a situation, where I wanted to install CM12. So I did, everything was fine (except for the battery life), and I went to sleep.
First thing in the morning, I wanted to try something new (Flyme OS). And there the stuff went wrong. I wanted to do a full wipe of the phone.
I did it, by manually erasing each partition one by one.
Then I had several attempts of installing it, having them all failed. At this point, I had realized that I don't want to install it anymore, so I have downloaded the stock firmware and flashed it up with this sequence:
fastboot oem fb_mode_set
fastboot flash partition gpt.bin
fastboot flash motoboot motoboot.img
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
mfastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase customize
fastboot erase clogo
fastboot oem config carrier vzw !!! (was not sure that this was right)
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
HOWEVER! On my first attempt, modem file was not right (as my phone was continuously rebooting on first setup (while choosing wifi network).
The second attempt with different NON-HLOS.bin file went ok, wifi is working like charm.
BUT now there is no cellular connection at all! I have tried two SIM (Telus and Megafon, which both work inside my iPhone 6)
At this point I'm totally stuck and desperately ask for your help
Go ask in the 2nd Gen forum, that's what it's there for.

hello such greetings I am new on the page I am going to estedes with the reason to know if someone could help me with this problem in the end the problem is that I have a motorola g6 xt1925-1 that does not read any sim probe the 3 companies that is available here in Argentina and none works, also hard reset, adb commands, flashing the baseband among other things I also saw a video on YouTube about a motorcycle that has the same problem that the person who made the card does not take the sim card video what he did was solve the ap rf chip or multiband module power amplifier (the video can be found on youtube as MOTOG REPAIR WITHOUT SERVICE OR WITHOUT SIGN) the issue is that nose if this is or is only a problem of the rom ( baseband) or other download several roms of google 2 of this same page of which 1 did not work the audio was only heard as a sumbido when the cell was emitting some sound so I proceeded to download the second and if it works but still with the same problem WITHOUT SERVICE the weird thing is that in applications the app of my company appears to me that is personal
When I want to make a call it tells me to turn off the airplane mode the chip takes it all I hope someone can help me I forgot the imei this is not reported is released attached images so they can help me before I send it to a technician who that I guess is that they will not know how to find the fault or directly they will tell me that the motherboard is no longer useful
PS: I wanted to attach images but it does not leave me I have 6 screenshots to show them so they tell me I can do thanks.

Have you checked your APN settings yet?
If nothing is there or they are incorrect, add the correct APN settings for your carrier.
