My friend wanted to root his Moto X XT1092. We unlocked the bootloader(this means "Allow OEM Unlock" was enabled) and the device was erased. When prompted for Google Account, we couldn't proceed as my friend had forgotten his password. Luckily, we were able to reset the password and Yes, we did gain access to the phone when we signed in with the new password. Then when i flashed TWRP Recovery and then flashed SuperSU, and i forgot about flashing custom kernel. The device was stuck on the "Warning Bootloader Unlocked" Logo and then i came to know i had to flash a custom kernel as well. When i flashed custom kernel, the device booted successfully, but the FRP kicked in and it has got us locked out, as the password had been reset.
So what options do i have other than to wait for 3 days? The device has an unlocked bootloader and TWRP Recovery installed, is there any way to bypass FRP or is the phone now a paper-weight for 3 days?

So I picked up a nexus 6 that was said to be bricked. It was cheap so I figured what the hell. Anyway it's stuck in fastboot. No matters options it goes back to the fastboot screen. In logs it says "invalid boot image header." device is locked status code 2. What chances do I have of getting this back up and running?

Locked code status 2 = bootloader locked right?
Paperweight.
So there is nothing possible to do? I was under the impression is was almost impossible to hard brick a nexus 6. I guess i was ignorant. lol
the N6 and N9 was when they started having the oem unlock enabler in developer settings menu and without the ability to boot and enable that setting its just as screwed as any other locked phone.
Are you talking about bootloader mode?
Locked bootloader+stock recovery (no TWRP) =bricked.
I've read where others have typed "fastboot erase bootloader" which has removed the bootloader so the phone won't even start.
If you have an unlocked bootloader and TWRP then you can recover from most issues. I've formatted my phone with no OS before. You can adb pull a zip in or flash via OTG. Locking the bootloader with no custom recovery or ROM prevents you from installing anything
Hello, I rooted, and installed custom recovery on my 1+3t. And the new update came out. I decided to give it a shot. Long story short. I locked my bootloader. And when I try to boot it up. It shows logo for one second, vibrates, and is stuck in that bootloop. I can get into recovery, and fastboot, but bootloader is locked. Any ideas?
Use recovery unbrick tool.
And don't lock your bootloader when you're going to flash any kind of mod, like Magisk.
You can unlock bootloader if you have activated oem unlock and usb debugging in the developer option. Then you are good to go for custom recovery..
You should never re-lock your bootloader after you flash anything not signed by OnePlus. Your device can never be booted up and only can be fixed if you use the unbrick tool by Qualcomm.

My thoughts exactly.
To the OP, you don't need to lock the bootloader to update this device. And you should never lock the bootloader with mods on the phone (TWRP, root, etc.).
Good rule of thumb, is to read up before doing an update like this. Would have saved you a lot of hardship, as all the info is here on XDA for those that care to search and read.

Maybe it will help someone
You couldn't flash TWRP if you didn't unlock bootloader - and the phone warns you that bootloader is unlocked
If you want to get rid of the warning, you must re-lock bootloader, but it will trigger factory reset
Btw, enable Development options and check if OEM Unlocking is enabled
And in Fastboot, check does it show Bootloader and FRP unlocked
Guys, my mi8 was unlocked while buying this. It was on miui9. I updated to miui10 via updater app. Today i've installed TWRP & rooted it. and formatted the data>flash disable dm verity to stop the encryption. Everything was ok but when i went to the settings i see the device is again locked. So i tried to unlock it but Mitool says "device already unlocked, no need to repeat unlock" and not letting me to unlock. Again i see the device is still encrypted. What can i do now to get everything okay? Because now i have a device with locked bootloader and TWRP installed. please help me

Boot into fastboot mode, connect to your computer, then use command fastboot oem device-info on your computer.
Device unlocked: (does it show locked or unlocked here)
I was trying to install Camera2 on it. Unlocked it with developer options ->Unlock OEM
After try some things I reset factory the cellphone and decide to forget camera2 things...
So I went to developer options and LOCKED OEM.
After that I reboot in fastboot mode and did fastboot oem lock
Now the cellphone is locked in a bootloop saying that my deveice loaded a differente operational system and a screen to visit miui.com/unlock.
The unlock aplication doesn't work. Says that I can't unlock the device.
So that means I lost my crazy brand new phone? THere's any solution? The Test Point solution will work? Is that the only solution???
Thiank you for any response.

"So I went to developer option and LOCKED OEM" can you be a little more clear. Because unlocking the bootloader locks the OEM unlock option in the developer settings.
Possible cause of your bootloop is the change in your build.prop file.
I did a similar mistake as well. My phone was stuck in a bootloop. My mistake was that I installed Magisk and forgot to uninstall it through the Magisk manager before locking the bootloader and so the system were not in their stock state.
What I did was, I just booted my phone into fastboot.
Unlocked the bootloader again by using "fastboot OEM unlock". Went into fastboot again. Checked the current active slot by "fastboot getvar current-slot" and flashed the stock boot image from the stock pie rom found on Mi website.

What I did was with the phone working I entered on configuration, developer, and turned of the oem lock option.
Than I reboot in fastboot and did fastboot oem lock.
This made the cellphone unbootable. Bootloop saying that I'm trying to start a different operational system.
And I can't make fastboot unlock because I turned off the option in the system, so I can't send fastboot commands like oem edl, unlock, unlock-critical and etc...
I can't do nothing :/
I don't know how the option was working, but was... I know it should be locked, but this time wasn't. Was after I factory reset the cellphone
Your fault that you locked bootloader on a modified system. Do a research next time
