I am looking for a very specific app that I could be able to plug in a gamepad via USB-OTG and remotely use it on a PC. I found apps like Monect but they only work with built in touch controls and don't allow external devices. If anyone knows a solution, I would be more than glad to hear it

Sorry to answer with a question but wouldn't it be simpler to plug your game pad directly to your computer? Or maybe to use a wireless game pad connected to your PC?
What's the point of connecting a game pad to your phone and not directly to your computer? Adding some extra latency to make a game harder to play?
Sorry I'm very curious why
Well my gamepad is a cheap fake one that is hardly ever detected without third party apps but the reason is that I have an extremely short cable and I want to be able to use Steam's big screen on my TV with HDMI and play with a gamepad
Anyone ?
Has anyone managed to access the orientation tracking data from the gear vr's sensors? Now that we have a usb passthrough, if we could access the orientation data instead of using the phone's we'd have ourselves a very viable alternative to the oculus rift for pc vr. Through usb tethering I can get less than 5ms latency on moonlight. Hell, I can even get down to 14ms latency on wireless ac.
I'm useless as far as coding, but hey, I'll test for you if you share my dream of $$99 pc vr and don't share my ignorance of java.
Do we have USB pass through? I read its only for power.
Hi
I bought a S3 Sm-T713 to use with a apk from DJI (DGI Go4) but I'm having troubles because of the usb.
In others models I just connect my Controller via USB and the apk pop-ups and I just need to enter.
With this S2, the USB is always changing from "charging to MTP" and it doesn't let me open the apk.
I've tried to enter in developer mode and change "USB configurations" to RDIS or MTP or Midi but didn't worked.
The only way I have to use make it work is doing like this :
1-Switch on the drone
2-Switch on the controller
3-Connect controller to Tablet via usb
4-With the tablet off, switch it on
And the application will work as in other fhone or tablet that I've used before.
My tab is running on Android 7.
If someone has experienced and has a workaround for this situation, please let me know.
Best regards
Hi guys, can you please link products do connect Mi 8 on a external Display?
If you have one, can you put links here?
I'm trying to find a way to use on my TV
The are usb type-c to hdmi converters.
Anyway, the maximum speed of the USB on this mobiles is really slow (30MB/s). It's theoretically able to provide a good video but in practice it's not.
mi 8 don't support mhl over usb c so it's not possible
I'm using mibox 3. it works good.
I am also interested in this subject. I do have a multimedia car stereo with HDMI in and I would like to mirror the MI8 to it (to watch movies or the navigation app).
I did understand that it doesn't support MHL or whatever BUT I was wondering if there is any other options (Displaylink as example) that is compatible to use in car (so that is not needed to be powered or that can be powered thru usb and that doesn't need WiFi).
Any help/idea?

It works with mi8? what laptop model is?
i use apowermirror installed on both PC and Cellphone (make search over google, it's easy), connect PC to the phone through USB or WIFI and have phone display on PC and viceversa, can make plenty of settings and quality... this way then i have the PC connected on my main high quality TV and there we go, no latency high quality phone on TV and i use it for gaming for example connect bluetooth gamepad to the phone, launch high quality android games such as life is strange and played with high experience on TV, this as usefull when i was sick and ill at home and had no good pc and no consoles.... was a very good experience.... the only downside is that apowermirror can transmit in "FULL SCREEN" only with paid VIP pro version.

Chromecast, anycast, Miracast.... Chromecast is the best, but none is perfect

I just received the xcloud streaming invitation for xbox and I am not able to connect my xbox controller to my phone via bluetooth. I never had this issue with the s9. But now it won't even detect it. I've tried with 3 different controllers.
Have you hit the little discoverable button in between the bumpers?
1) Turn on controller.
2) Press discoverable button (maybe hold?)
3) Scan for devices on phone.
I just went through this for the same reason. Hope this helps!
Yeah, I have scanned restarted the controller updated it through pc. It just cant detect the controller. And it is a controller with bluetooth.
