[Q] Advanced Power Menu for Android N? - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm looking for an APM for Android N, any suggestions confirmed working?
Gesendet von meinem Nexus 6 mit Tapatalk

I use advanced power menu from the play store just fine, on Android n. I'm assuming you have root access.

I like the dark background, is this the one you're using? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.noxx.apm&hl=en
EDIT: Yes this is the right one. To get dark mode, you have to buy the developer a beer for $1.93.

What features are you looking for? I am using a widget from Titanium backup that allows "reboot device" and "reboot recovery'. Those are the only two that I ever use. No extra app doing it that way.

Where are you finding widgets in Titanium Backup? I just looked through mine and don't see any.

Thanks, I finally found it! I still prefer the extra options of the Advanced Power Menu though, and that doesn't require another widget taking up screen space. BTW, that app is working well enough that I removed APM+ from Xposed.

Hi. Nice app.. i have one requeat that could make this app eaven more usable.
Either make widget for one touch system bar removel or make a shortcut for desktop to make a one touch system bar removal.
What do you think about that??
Great app as I said before.

The best solution would be, that the statusbar disappears, when you swipe down on the screen , and appears if you swipe up.

Does anyone know if it would work on Bindroid.
One other thing, i dont think its a good idea that you can swipe it up and down, because i like to remove my bar when the kid is playing with it.

Yup same here, power button was best option for me since my son only touches the screen. Can't seem to get that mod to work more than once per boot. HideBar just freezes.
This one looks very promising, will check it out tonight

[Q] Help request - Status bar icon gap

I've tried to search through the forum and see if I could find the answer I need but haven't had much luck. Hope you don't mind my post. I purchased one of these on Monday and I love it to bits. However couple of small niggles. When wifi is on/connection theres a gap between the wifi icon and the others signal / battery / etc. Is there anything I can do to sort that out on its own?
On a side note. I notice voice commands (not google now) just force closes on start once again ideas on this?
Thankyou for your time. This is a fantastic phone with amazing battery life and speed. wow!

You can download moded framework and systemUI apk's decompile them and decompile original apk's of course too then you compare them and you can find your desired change.

Recent apps button

Is there a way to get an extra button in the navigation bar?
That is actually one button I use very much and holding the home button is annoying.
With root and Xposed you can either exchange buttons or add buttons.

That specific function doesn't seem to work unfortunately. It adds to the original front touch button settings but crashes.
Maybe there was another one where you can easily swap the menu with recent button. Look at G2 Xposed also and the likes. One of them has that option. I'm fine with the longpress myself.

Yes it does, make sure you have xposed then enable LG Launcher mods, the go to phone settings and display, there is now two options to modify button layout.

[APPS][7.1] Installable apps from leaked Pixel XL system images

Here are some apk's extrated from Pixel XL's system image that can be installed like any other app and gave significant (or so) ch-ch-ch-ch-changes.
Tested on NBD90X with Pixel Launcher.
Google Dialer
NexusWallpapersStubPrebuilt (some new live wallpapers)
WallpapersUsTwo (more wallpapers)
Media folder (Notification, ringtones, Alarms)
CalculatorGooglePrebuilt (no visible changes)
PrebuiltDeskClockGoogle (no visible changes)
GoogleContactsSyncAdapter (no visible changes)
GoogleContacts (circle icon, but old layout)
LatinIMEGooglePrebuilt (Google Keyboard)
NOTE: It seems that structure of bootanimation.zip has changed. Now all the png have different size and there are a "trim.txt" file inside each "partX" folder that indicates the position of the pngs.

It's actually not that bad in practice, it's transparent so it depends on the wallpaper behind it. Tho I do agree it looks horrid in the OP's screenshot.

And

Already ported works fine except the stock google camera doesnt work (you can just download another one from the play store) and when you boot up you get the "There's an internal problem with your device" message, other than those two bugs everything is awesome

How to remove the bottom white bar light thing?

I'm just coming over from a samsung s20 ultra and I'm loving the pixel. But how the heck do I get rid of that light thing at the bottom? I'm even using a custom launcher. Please look at screenshot. For me it serves no purpose and I don't want screen burn in or anything because of it
Good luck. Hope someone figures it out without lagging the Camera

LOL, I'm surprised you didn't know about the gestures since Samsung is so enamored with them.
I hate it too but it seems like Google is just trying to copy Apple here as all the gesture based iPhones have it.
That's the area that triggers the gesture navigation. I think it's already too small as it is. Without it you'd have the system gesture area interfering with app space.

That would make sense but I'm able to do the gestures outside of the area as long as it starts on the bottom of the screen perfectly fine.

I know but some apps also have swipes right near the same area. I already have many instances where I have the wrong thing happen. I think getting rid of the gesture area would make that even worse.

The white bar can be simply turned off on the Oneplus 7t and it makes absolutely no difference to how the gestures work, why on earth Google want it there is beyond me, it does absolutely nowt. I have sent feedback from the phone to google asking them to make it switchable, maybe if enough people do that they will act, however this is Google we're taking about and as far as i am concerned the feedback option simply sends your feedback in to an infinitely deep bin where they can just ignore it.

One thing. If you already had a systemui mod installed, this module won't take effect until you delete the previous module. Being that this is a vrthemer and isn't replacing the whole SystemUI, it should now contain the previous mod (if you had one installed) also.
So no way to remove the white bar without root?
