Unfortunately Bluetooth has stopped working - LG G Flex

I'm trying to connect with my bluetooth speaker (iHome) and now every time when I press the search for devices on my phone it crashes. I tried not turning on the bluetooth speaker to see if it would crash when it couldn't find anything to connect and it behaves normally - it says it couldn't find any device, but then I turn on the device and set it to discovery then the phone app crashes again.
I've tried clearing the data and cache to no avail. It still has my headphones when I go back to the app even after a restart and still can't connect.
Anyone have any solution for this?
If I have my bluetooth headset on when I get to work it then crashes several times in a row because it restarts then crashes again over and over until I just finally have to turn the darn thing off - this is a real hassle. : (
Thanks for any help

Does it work for sure? I read that it's a permanent problem and that maybe some apps are involved (like track Id)

[Q]/[HELP] Xperia Z-SBH20 connection issue

Hello!
I bought an SBH20, paired with my XZ via NFC, listened to music, then disconnected the headset, using the NFC.
After a while, i tred to connect again via NFC but all i get is a 'connecting' message, BT turning on -white BT icon- but no real connection, therefore the BT turns off.
After several tries it finally connects, but it's not reliable this way.
I noticed, if i enter to settings(not turning anytihng on/off) and trying to connect (still using NFC), everything works fine: connects, disconnects perfectly, and handles the BT as it should.
I've reseted the headset, tried single and multi point modes aswell. Deleted the BT devices, then repaired, still got the problem.
Am i doing sth wrong? I want to connect and disconnect the headset with a simple touch, and not toggling the BT manually (NFC yeah...) Is this something, SBH20 is not compatible with?
(btw sony support says: "For subsequent connections between devices that have already been paired once, make sure that Bluetooth™ is turned on so that the devices can connect automatically." If it's a "must" , then what is the [email protected] use of the NFC??? Just to pair once???)
Please share your experiences! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for reading ( and sorry for my english)
I actually have the same problem using the SBH50. For me sometimes it connects perfectly fine, other times it doesn't and I have to go into bluetooth settings after which it seems to connect properly.
I have noticed that it also depends on how I disconnect it; if I remember to touch the headset to disconnect then next time when I try to connect I have more chance of it being successful. Also, when I try to connect I hold the headset aganist the phone even after the ‘connecting’ popup until I get the 'connected' popup.
These are just work-arounds which aren’t always 100% successful though so would be good to find out what the proper method is.

It is a real shame... In my case it's the opposite, if i touch the headset to disconnect, the next nfc-connect tends to be less successful.
(and i noticed that it also matters if i turn off the headset after disconnected, or not)
And what is really odd, that i don't have to do anything in the settings menu ( or bluetooth settings) just open it, and everything works like a charm...( all connect or disconnect tries are succesfull, no exception, even if i push the headset repeatedly to the pohone's back)
I'm not affraid to mod some system files, apps, maybe build.prop tweaks, but i don't know where to start. In bulild.prop there are only a few nfc related lines (tried to enable/disble those)
So i'm not alone...maybe even more people are in the same boat, trying to solve this.
Again; any related info is welcome
I also have a sbh50 but i normally disconnect by turning off the headset. I have set it in smartconnect to turn off bluetooth automatically when the connection shuts off but it doesnt always do that.
It reconnects with no issues when bluetooth is on and i turn the headset on again. I use the nfc tap only for the initial pairing.
The only issues I have is the google music skipping issue that i posted the other day and the gmail smart connect not working on the sbh50

Well, then we don't have the same issue. I tought i could use the nfc for connect/disconnect (i actually still think it is capable of that, just sony messed up sth)
Could you try to connect/disconnect and connect again with your devices, please
I'm really curious about this whole nfc story ( why does the headset have the chip/tag if it only works for initial pairing -its not a big deal to pair manually, especially that it has to be done just once-, and on the other hand: if i put nfc in the device, why not put in this functoin too- not a big deal: a proper working BT toggle, but it brings a tad more functionality-

No bluetooth audio unless phone audio is disabled.

I'm having an issue with my bluetooth audio all of the sudden not working. I've paired to bluetooth devices in my car and Bluetooth headphones and everything was working fine up until this weekend, now I don't get any music audio unless I disable the phone audio in bluetooth settings. I'm running stock Marshmallow and I've went in and disabled permissions for phone and microphone for any app that wouldn't logically need. I booted into Safe Mode and things worked normally but I can't figure out how to isolate a particular app that might be causing it, if that is the problem. I also tried reseting Network Settings in Backup and Restore but that force closes everytime. I Uninstalled all the apps that updated over the weekend thinking an update might have caused it but it's still there. Can't seem to find this particular issue documented anywhere else. Any ideas?
Found the problem!
Sorry to post this before I went through all the steps... Hopefully it can help someone else out at some point...
Since everything worked properly in Safe Mode I figured it was one of the apps installed. I just started clearing out five apps at a time until I found the culprit.
It was Voxer, and it wasn't the app itself with a bug, it was the setting in Preferences to enable Voxer over Bluetooth. With that option on and phone audio enabled in Bluetooth settings, no music would play. Unchecking that setting and turning phone audio back on in bluetooth, I got all of my media audio back over bluetooth.
Pain in the ass but it all works now.
sometimes...

Bluetooth issue

Dear all
First post so here goes. Had my 7 plus exactly a week.
Specs as follows:
Model TA 1055
Android 8.1
1st June 2018 Security patch
unrooted but themed with Substratum (Swift Black)
So my phone won't detect either my amazon bluetooth adapter plugged into my bedside radio or my creative bluetooth speakers. My lenovo p2 can find these without issue. Strangely it can connect to my PC's bluetooth which gives a passcode. I've cleared bluetooth cache and still not fixed. Anybody else had bluetooth issues?
TA-1046 here with June patch and I have bluetooth issues as well.
I was not able to connect my Gear S3 smartwatch to my phone, untill I decided to turn off BT and turn it back on again.
Suddenly it worked.
Then I was not able to update my S3 apps from the Samsung App Store, untill I stopped BT and turned it back on again.
It seems to me that there is a BT issues in the June patch.
How it was before, I don't know as I received this phone 2 days ago and it updated automatically to June update.
Sorry for adding more negativity to this forum than assistance.
I am also having similar problem with connecting to my LG sound bar. It picks it up when i search, saves it but does not connect.
BT issues
Well unfortunately I have to say same. BT even can't see any device during scanning. Other devices each between other works. Other devices also see N7+ and can pair with it. Seems like scanning doesn't work for me on N7+.
I tried reset networks, clear BT cache couple of times - didn't changed anything. Still wanna avoid factory reset.
No mods, no root.
I'm bit surprised (in the sad way) by this device :-/
In the meantime BT has worked quite well for a couple of days, untill today.....
I could connect to my Gear S3, but not much later I notice new notifications on my phone but no popup on my watch.
It turned out that BT was not connected anymore.
Manually connected and the same process happens again.
Untill I rebooted my phone. From then on, my watch stayed paired with the phone and didn't loose connection.

Try resetting your Gear S3 to factory defaults and remove BT settings on phone.
(also clear BT cache).
I had to set up my watch a couple of times.
Still it disconnects sometimes, but then a normal reboot of the phone helps to get the connection back.
Submitted this to another thread, but I'll copy paste it here.
I recently got Bluetooth headphones and found that playback easily got choppy if a part of my body was in between my headset and phone, or if the phone got locked. I did find a solution to this however, and not sure if it would work for everyone that has Bluetooth issues as well.
It seems as if Bluetooth has its own app on Android 8.1, and due to this, it's getting managed by Doze or the automatic app power saving that's on by default. I switched off battery management using the following steps:
1. Go to Settings
2. Apps & Notifications
3. Tap on the option that says "See all x apps"
4. Tap on the top right hand 3 dots.
5. Tap on "Show system"
6. Scroll down until you find "Bluetooth" and tap on it
7. Tap on Battery
8. Tap on Battery Optimisation
9. Press the blue dropdown that should say "Not optimised", and select "All apps"
10. Find Bluetooth again, tap on it.
11. Optimise should be ticked, tick "Don't Optimise" instead, then press Done.
My Nokia 7 plus cannot find other Bluetooth devices.
I cleared cache, went to battery optimisation settings, ticked on the Bluetooth icon and selected *"Don't optimise"* turned on my Bluetooth to search for other devices and still this same problem persists. Can't find other Bluetooth devices including phones, tablets and headsets. I'm really confused on why there should be such a problem. I don't want to Reset to Factory settings. But I'm not being left with any other choice. I'm so upset that I have to spend so much and yet other cheap phones can search for other devices so easily.. please I need a solution immediately

Difficulty with BT connection after Rebble...getting frustrated

Ever since installing Rebble, I am having trouble getting the BT to reliably and quickly re-connect PB2HR watch to my Samsung S5 phone. I think I have a fix which is to turn on airplane mode, then turn on BT. But I really don't want to have to nudge the connection every time. Has anyone had and solved this problem since Rebble? If not, maybe I can set up Tasker to do this for me.
Edit: things I've tried:
-reinstalling Pebble app
-force stop BT Share in app manager
-pairing and unpairing (several times)
-using app only to re-pair
-just waiting for connection (says 'connecting to Pebble' for hours at a time but never does)
I’m having the connection problems too.... after I let the watch battery drain and sit for a few months my system time is incorrect and reads 2001 finally after many attempts to connect I factory reset the watch and now it’s in first setup mode asking to connect from pebble app. I can manually force a connection with a play store app and occasionally the system BT though the pebble app can not discover the watch even when system and third party BT apps can..... I’m thinking it’s a loss

Bluetooth Vehicle

I've read extensively on the problems the RP2 has with various bluetooth devices. I'm having issues with getting bluetooth to function properly with my wife's van (Chrysler Pacifica). I've experimented trying many different things, but am still coming up short. The phone will pair perfectly the first time, and I can play audio through a phone call, Spotify, Poweramp, Google Maps, etc. Everything works perfectly as expected. If I simply toggle bluetooth off/on or reboot the phone, it will seem to reconnect, but within 2-3 seconds, it disconnects, and I get a com.bluetooth has stopped responding error. It will repeat this same error every time I try to reconnect. My first thought was that it was the dreaded two bluetooth overlays on the vendor partition, but I've tried repeating this process with the overlays deleted, too. I get the same results. Something else is getting in the way of proper bluetooth functionality other than those overlays, but I haven't the faintest idea where to look next. Any ideas?
Edit: Figured it out. Uconnect doesn't support AVRCP higher than 1.3.
