there hard to find cause I'm still looking for one I ordered a tempered glass & came like this in the package (Skinomi Lifetime Warranty) & I ordered 1 from Xtremeguard waiting for it to come in & Zerolemon screen protector but they don't make it for the G4 & iloome had 1 on my Note 3 amazing then got 1 for my Note 4 it just didn't work
From my experience the best cases are Tech21 cause the case absorbs the shock. Have them all on my devices G3 G4 Note 4
you can try them out found them on Facebook I have no experience with them there all-in-one cases meaning case+tempered glass
http://www.ghostekproducts.com/phone-cases/lg/g4-cases.html

Case wise i always go for a case that offers good protection while maintaing easy access to all ports. And when it comes to tempered glass screen protectors....... I usually go for whichever one has a good price. Paid 4 dollars for a 2 pack tempered glass protector off ebay and ive had the first one on my phone for about 2 months and no scratches or anything. Still haven't switched it out yet.

I tried xtremeguard glass sp but my phone for whatever reason got very hot. Took the sp off right away

Otter box defender on g2 g3 and g4. All 3 also have had zagg temp glass never broke a phone or screen yet. Im a mechanic so it get heavy abuse grease heavy dust. Ive cracked a few temps no screens. Touch is a little off sometimez. Zagg comes in with one of the thickest i think. Theyre .5 mm thick

I'm using a Caseology one ATM (Great case but a bit slippery on the sides + the outer shell is only plastic which feels cheap as opposed to the Verus case I had for my LG G3). I also use a UAG (The Gray Smoke one). It doesn't add much bulk but add an extra layer of protection, not to mention it looks damn great. It also has a much better grip than my Caseology / Spigen and Verus cases.
As for the tempered glass, make sure there is a cutout for the proximity sensor. Most of them will have that rectangle cutout but a few of them will have circle cutouts for everything (Camera, proximity sensor, etc).

Same situation as you.
UAG case leaves a lot of space for ANY screen protector.
Currently I switched to intelliarmor.
Perfect touch.
Fully stick after a week.
A small opening for earpiece and sensor.
A good buy.

Griffin Survivor case

Im getting tired of taking my otterbox defender apart every week or so to clean the dust out from the screen. Is the griffin survivor case any better? Ive heard its good, from some ios friends, also does amazon sell it? Thanks.

Griffin doesn't make a Survivor case for the Note 2. There's a chinese knock off that many of us have. I'm not in a position to compare it to an Otterbox. You may want to ask on Vectron's review thread.
As drnihili-zztop (man, that is one cool beard!!!) correctly pointed out, some Chinese manufacturer took S3 design of Survivor and scaled it up for Note 2. The fitment is OK, but the screen quality of the plastic screen protector is cheap. My kids had Survivor for their iPod touch, and I can tell you with certainty it's not the same. It is usable though, and has a great drop protection.
Now, here is a bigger question, why do you even need to use built-in screen protector on your Defender? Otterbox screwed up the design of this case for Note 2. Every comment you read in this forum or any other forum or even Amazon reviews talk about the same thing - awful screen protector. It's not flush with a display, but rather slightly concave up. When you push on the screen protector it sucks in the air/dust from the opening of home button. That's how you get specks of dust and moisture in there. I would say most everybody remove that plastic protector as soon as they get the case (use hair dryer to soften the glue and push it out). Get yourself a decent screen protector like iSmooth or Spigen, and you are in business!

I love the otterbox itself but the screen protector is horrible and yes i have thought about taking it out and getting a zagg but i've read that if i use the s pen it can leave the some indents, then i heard about tempered glass screen protectors. I was very interested in the MIME glass screen protector, but i just don't want to spend the $40 on it if it wouldn't work good with the otterbox defender. Also i heard somewhere elses(i think android central forums) that otterbox was going to revise the defender, i've been waiting on it but i'm tired of waiting. If you can suggest a decent tempered glass screen protector that works with the defender i might give it a chance, or if griffen comes out with a survivor for the Note 2.

If you read MIME review on this forum, everybody had an issue of edges not sticking. Even so it's discounted at 1/2 off, I don't think anybody paid $40, but rather $20(?) I wouldn't recommend it. I'm using VITREO from Seidio: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2210365 and absolutely love it. Yes, its expensive and it's narrow so you don't have any non-sticking edge issues (N2 glass is curved toward the edge), but it also bullet proof. With Defender, I was a little anxious when I placed my Note 2 in it when I had plastic screen protector in, but once plastic screen protector was removed - it was perfect. Keep in mind, I wasn't using real Defender, but rather HK knock off which is 1:1 copy of it (in both quality, fitment, and dimensions). I had original Defender 3-4 months ago, and returned it back after a few days of use; couldn't stand that awful screen protector and the whole bulk wasn't justifiable. Been rocking UAG with VITREO until now when I just switched to ZL 9300 mAh battery and ZL tpu case. But still going back and forth between UAG and stock battery, and ZL setup.
Yep. The one real complaint I have about the fake Survivor is that the screen protector marks up pretty easily. They are still decent cases though and can be had pretty cheap.

My VZW G2 Screen Protector and Cases Review

I'm going to post one at a time...so the pictures don't get confused with others. I hope this helps
.....1.....The SNP Tempered Glass Protector (Price $32.00)
This one took a long time to receive it since it was coming from Korea with really slow cheap shipment, but the product had no damage so it was all good.
I thought I did good installation on the Tempered glass protector, but all around the edges I had gap (You can see it from the pictures). I contacted the seller and they told me that this screen protector is not for Verizon model, because of the 1mm curved edges. I guess the Korean version of the G2 don't have curved edges and I don't know about Atnt or Tmobile models.
So they gave me a full refund, since they didn't mention that it is not for Verizon models.
But if you have the Korean Version of the phone I really recommend it.
The Tempered glass protector covers close to edge to edge. The responsiveness and the clarity is excellent. The feel of this screen protector is really good. My fingers were sliding across really easy. Edges are smooth rounded so it feels smooth all around the edges.
Since the protector is close to edge to edge you can't use cases like the Diztronic cases or SGP Slim armor, etc. since it interfere with the screen protector that it will lift up the screen protector.
So you have to use the ones like Poetic Palette or Incipio Feather cases or etc.
Even though it had gaps all around the edges I have use this screen protector for 2 weeks and I had no issue with clarity or sensitivity. Overall performance of this tempered glass protector is really fantastic. If this had fit my phone then this one was a keeper...but It was just sad that it didn't fit my G2.
.....2..... Scosche 2.1A High Amp Dual USB Car Charger (Price $6.00)
If you are looking for fast dual USB car charger this one works out great. Like other dual USB car chargers have one 2.1A and one 1.0A Charging ports but Scosche car charging ports are both 2.1A charging ports. In other words...Scosche car chargers will charge 2 devices about the same speed as the OEM wall charger that you got when you bought your G2. It charges really fast.
Overall performance is really excellent. I have used this car charger for over 2 weeks now and have no problem so far. This just does exactly what it is suppose to do. It charges the phone as fast as the rapid wall charger, so this is a keeper for me. In my opinion this car charger is cheap compare other car chargers that charges slower than this.
.....3.....The Hohoo 9H Screen Protector (Price $12.50)
First this screen protector is NOT TEMPERED GLASS SCREEN PROTECTOR. This screen protector is made out of PMMA (Poly Methyl Methacrylate), it's basically acrylic. Im saying this because some of the sellers are posting this as a tempered glass protector when it is clearly not. There is a reason why the price point is low.
This one was a defected product which the top part of the screen protector adhesive part was not good that it made air gaps and if I leave it on for a couple of minutes it lifts up by itself, so I contacted the seller and the seller told me that he is sending a new one for me.
The installation wasn't that hard. The screen response was good and the screen clarity was really good. It feel like I was touching a tempered glass screen protector. My fingers glide really smooth. The screen protector size is basically little bit bigger than the screen, but it doesn't cover up the whole front side. In my opinion this is a really good size for the screen protector. Since I can put on Diztronic TPU cases without interfering with the screen protector (just has a tiny gap between the screen protector and the case edges).
Even though this was a defected product everything really work great except for the adhesive part. Going to wait for new one for my final opinion on this screen protector.
...4....The Hohoo 9H Screen Protector (Replacement)
I have received the replacement screen protector and the first thing that I have notice was that the boxing image was different from the first one that they have sent me. The next thing that was different was when I was installing it was the sensor area cut out. It doesn't make a huge difference but just fyi.
The second screen protector that I received had really good adhesives so I didn't get any air gaps. I had no issue with any sensitivity. The screen protector feels really smooth and my fingers slides through easily. The best part about this protector is that the size. I really think this is the best screen protector size for VZW G2.
I really like this screen protector but one problem for me with the screen protector was when I go outside in a really cold weather (near about 0°C) the protector just lifts up by itself for some reason. But if I put it back in a room temperature for a bit it start sticking back to the screen...I have tested 5 times doing this and also sent an email to the seller and the seller just gave me a refund. But in room temperature it doesn't have any problem. The adhesive is actually really good that even though I reattached it more than 5 times it didn't made any gaps or lifting in room temperature. This might be the material of the screen protector problem or I might have got a bad batch but in my experience it happen like that.
Overall performance is excellent. If I didn't had any issue with the lifting then this screen protector was a keeper for me. In my opinion the feel and strength and display is in the same level as the tempered glass protector. If you want tempered glass protector like features without paying a lot. This screen protector might fit for you.
I still have this screen protector on since I don't have any issue in room temperature. But I just have order a new tempered glass protector made from Glassview. It should be coming soon so until then I'm going to keep using this screen protector.
.....5..... Diztronic Cases (Price $10.00)
First impression with these cases were that it's really slim case. Diztronic cases are made out of TPU material. I have purchase two of Diztronic cases, matted black and clear type. Both types of cases have really good grip. The matted black case had so much better resistance against finger prints than the clear case. The matted black case had little bit more slippery feeling than the clear case, but the Matted black looks better than the clear one in my opinion. One final difference between these two types of cases is that the matted black case is $1 more expensive than the clear case.
All the cut out holes were perfectly aligned. On the top it has a lip that even though you put it face down it will protect from the screen touching the surface. This case purpose is basically to protect against everyday use scratches. If you drop the phone with this case on I really don't think this case will protect it from saving your phone.
Overall, if you want a slim case that doesn't any much bulk and protects every corner of your phone this is perfect. But for some reason if you think you will drop the phone get more bulkier case like Otterbox or Incipio Dualpro or etc.
.....6.....Incipio Feather Shine Case (Price $29.99)
I have used this case for over 2 weeks now and it is just perfect for me. Especially the back aluminum finish looks really nice and I don't have to worry about finger prints on the back of my phone anymore. The case fits really tight so there is no worry that the phone is just going to fall off from the case. This case is a really low profile case that it only covers the back and the sides and the four corners of the phone, but not covering the bottom and the top of the phone. This case have slightly lower profile than the Diztronic cases. It has a really small lip on the side of the phone. The lip of the case was about the same size as my screen protector that if I put it face down the screen protector is touching the bottom too. Since my screen protector's thickness is around 0.33mm so I'm assuming that the lip size is around 0.33mm. I'm not too worry about putting my phone face down since the screen protector I have so far stood up pretty good, but if you don't have screen protector just be careful if you are putting it face down.
The back aluminum finish looks nice but it makes the phone a bit slippery. I got some scratches on the aluminum finished back already, I think these scratches came from the keys that was in my pocket. I mean the phone case purpose is to prevent from scratching the actual phone so it is doing its job but it got scratched way too easily than what I was expecting from this case. I think my Hohoo screen protector is so much better against scratches than the aluminum finished case since my screen protector haven't got any scratches so far.
A lot of people complain about this case because of the signal lost, but to me so far I have not lost any signals or the case cause a weak signal. I'm getting the same signal bar with or without the case. I think some people complaining about the signal lost with this case on have got a bad batch of the case.
Overall, I think if you want a really low profile case with really nice look on the back then this case might be good for you. This is not a drop proof case. It's the same thing that I said about Diztronic cases, this is not the case that you want if you think you are going to drop your phone. This case is basically to prevent from everyday scratches.
Did you ever receive that screen protector from Glassview?
Do the screen protectors need to specifically say for verizon? Or are they compatible with any model? I want to buy some screen protectors but they dont specify what model just lg g2

This is definitely a great case for those who are looking for something to make the phone a little easier to hold and protect the back from scratches. The outer lip lets me put my phone face down whereas before I would be afraid of scratching the screen.

Yes I have received the Glassview Tempered Glass protector...Im using it right now for a couple of days to see if this is good or not. So far I like it.
Ill post pictures later.
So is that why the screen protectors that Verizon sold me isnt working with the cheap rubber case I have that came with it, until I can get a new one. Tempered glass?

....what are you talking about...
I use the VZW Screen Protectors they had because I got 20% off the phone (when you buy 2 accessories) and they were like $7 for 3. The VZW guy didn't put it on very well but I used the second one and a hinge method to get it perfectly aligned and centered.
I use a Incipio Feather Rubber Matte Case and it doesn't affect the Screen Protector. The Diztronics are cool but I don't like the big lips around the edges that will screw with the protector sometimes. No problems with the Incipio.
Screen protectors are compatible for all models of G2. Only the Verizon Cases are different because I guess it is a 1mm thicker due to addition of Qi Charging.

.....7.....GlassView Tempered Glass Protector (Price $32.99)
I have used this Tempered Glass Protector for over 2 weeks now and I think this is the one that I'm going to keep.
First, the application process was really easy for me. I installed it in like 30s and was done with perfect alignment. The size and the cutout of this screen protector is just perfect. It avoid all the lifting all around the screen and it is really case friendly that it fits the Diztronic cases. Im not too sure about the bulkier cases like the otterbox or bulkier incipio cases since these cases use up a lot of bezel space. The Thickness is only 0.23mm but The quality of the screen protector is really good. It has 9H hardness that suppose to prevent from everyday scratches and more and it is also shatterproof. The sensitivity and feel of this screen protector is just fantastic. I had no issue with responsiveness and my fingers were gliding through really smoothly. It was really easy to wipes off the fingerprints from the screen protector. Between SNP and Hohoo Screen protector feel of the smoothness wise GlassView is a clear winner for me.
I think this tempered glass is better than the MIME Tempered Glass. Since MIME Tempered Glass is cut short on the sides that doesn't really completely cover the screen but GlassView is covers the whole screen.
Overall, I think this is the best Tempered Glass screen protector that you can find on the market right now (at least for me). I thought about buying iloome flex but it looked too thin and I really don't see that much difference between just regular screen protector and iloome flex. I wanted more sturdy screen protector and I think I found my winner. I think I'm going to stick with GlassView tempered glass protector for a quite a bit before I find something that is better.

G2 Flip Cover VS. Regular screen protector

G2 Brothers,
I recently bought a brand new G2, I have no accessories for G2 and I have not tried any yet. I like the G2 Flip Cover a little from watching it on YouTube, but I havent tried it. So maybe someone can help me decide from a few questions:
1) Does the Flip Cover add a lot of weight on the phone and is the phone still comfortable to use with that cover?
2) Would it be more appropriate to just buy a regular screen protector instead? Adds no weight, but does it mess up the screen quality a lot?
3) Any other cover or specific screen protector (there are many models) I should consider for my new G2?
Hope I can get some useful input from those who are experienced G2 users
Thanks in advance.
Regards

but i can reccomend a Nekeda case (slim, gives better grip, doesn't ruin the sleek G2 design and it costs around 10$ on ebay)

Look Ma! Its @60nine
Appreciate your reply. I'm thinking a flip cover is "better" since it covers both the back and the screen?
Will keep looking, that Nekeda case looks really cool, but how about the flip cover?
Edit: I will drop the flip cover. Too many people say it scratches your display because of the metal. I will buy a screen protector and maybe also a Nekeda case.
Again, any specific screen protector I should go for?

There will be people who tell you to get a glass screen protector and other who won't. I have been told not to get one but that is just from my source. I have a screen protector from xtremeguard. They usually have pretty decent coupons. This screen protector covers everything except a little section by the camera, sensor and ear phone at the top of the phone. I am not sure how the Nekeda case fits. but I have the Spigen Slim Armour and the tech21 impact case, and both of them tend to push the screen protector up and cause some bubbles at the edge, which can be annoying but I just end up trying to push it back down. Hope that helps with your choice. There is a thread on glass screen protectors if you are interested in those.
Hey i'm using original window case with screen protector ..and until the moment 3 months no any scratches only camera glass has one light scratch but it comes from my zip pocket. If you are sick like me and dont wont any scratches i recomend this configuration.

Are Spigen screen protectors good?

Looking into getting a decent screen protector for my G4 when it arrives and I came across this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Protector-Spigen®-Crystal-JAPANESE-Definition/dp/B00UMDPLJK
Or would I be better with Orzly or Fosmon?
Just wondered what the general consensus was on them?

I'd recommend getting a tempered glass one - had one on my S5 since launch and still not a mark on it, doesn't attract fingerprints as much and feels much better than using a film one IMO.

So, maybe this one?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fosmon®-Pro...797996&sr=1-5&keywords=lg+g4+screen+protector
I was going to go for that one, but I think it ships from USA so you'll be waiting a while. I ended up getting the Casebase one based on other people's feedback (not used it yet as waiting patiently by my front door for the courier to knock!) - it's a bit more expensive but you get two in the pack. Mine arrived within a couple of days.
Bought this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Orzly®-Prot...797996&sr=1-4&keywords=lg+g4+screen+protector
Hopefully that one will be ok, keep in mind though all the reviews relate to the G3 version.
The Spigen one for the G2 and G3 wasn't all that great, but I believe it came with an extra or two, so that you can change it whenever. It did scratch easily for me, however.
I had some for a Nexus 5 I never bought (got the G2 instead). They felt the same as the iCarez ones I got for my G2, which were really good for film protectors. They had scratches on them in like 3 months, but the Spigen pack has like 3 in the package, so you should be set for around a year if you are tolerant enough.

They're really good. I do field engineering work and we sometimes have steel shavings on our hands my Nexus 5 had a screen protector and it looked mangled up but when I replaced it with a new one the screen look the Immaculate when I remove the old spigen screen protector.
I've got one from Skinomi TechSkin . Smooth, clear and durable. No complaint so far.
I always loved the speigen protectors. They are thicker. The matte ones are my go to on tablets. Prevents fingerprints and helps keep the screen from getting sticky during a gaming session.
just a question.
i've never used tempered glass screen protectors. my fear is that their added thickness would somehow feel sharp and uncomfortable in the edges, swiping laterally and holding in hand.
is this right? 0.24mm is not that much, but it is surely something.

The majority of tempered glass screen protectors have a curve along the edges so no need to worry about the uncomfortable feel
I've got KlearCut screen protectors for the LG G4.
too expensive. i found sth on ebay
the same as it show in SPG,much cheaper ,the same as SPG
Spigen screen protectors are great. Recommend!
Spigen one is good. But it is expensive. There are so many tempered screen film on the market. You can find one with good quality at a best price. Just personally suggestion.
Yeah,Spigen is expensive. I have tried this brand and it works great .
IQ Shield Liquid Skin screen protectors can compete with expensive brands.. It's wet install type of film guaranteed to provide long lasting results. Got one for my S6 and it holds up pretty well to coins and keys..relatively cost effective..
It is look nice, but it is expensive. Maybe you can find one with good quality at a best price.

What screen protectors do you recommend?

Hi, I've bought recently this phone and wanted a sturdy screen, preferably a glass tempered one but I've got no idea what brands to go for or if those that you can buy cheap on ebay are enough. I'm a bit clumsy so the possiblity of it slipping out of my hand by accident and falling on its screen is there. If anyone can give some input based on experiences, that'd be great.
Cheap plastic ones from amazon always seem to work fine on all my devices.. When they get scratched I have no issues throwing on a new one.
They are cheap but keep the screen flawless

hi, i am using nillkin H+, i bought it from amazon
Things i liked in this Nillkin :
1) my friends tempered glasses catches scratches, fades after long time use (4 months) and makes screen unusable in rain, but as nillkin is having real nano coating it helps me to operate my phone even in rain with out much problem
2) i bought a tempered glass before worth 270inr from ebay it was good to look, but when i was about to remove it as its not having Nano coating on it, then i observed that it cracked and formed small powder fragments on edges when i tried to remove it with hard plastic :silly:
later i installed nillkin, had to remove this also as i didnt manage to fit it perfectly on my screen.. i used the same hard plastic, this time Nillkin tempered didnt break nor atleast formed any tiny fragments, i lifted it and set again with out any problem
these are my observing on my tempered glass
I bought a tempered glass one for around $3 on eBay, haven't gotten it yet. I don't know if the more expensive ones are better, but better can mean 2 things. Either that it's stronger, so won't break easily; or that it protects the phone better. I doubt one will protect the phone more than the other.

Cheap plastic ones from amazon always seem to work fine on all my devices.. When they get scratched I have no issues throwing on a new one.
They are cheap but keep the screen flawless

I do the same thing. No problems yet.
I bought a nillkin H+ but removed it after a while because the phone screen is much less oleophobic. With the screen protector on, the fingerprints were extremely annoying, at least on my sample.
So can anyone recommend a really good high quality glass screen protector without flaws? If there is none then i'll order motorola official flip shell...

The $3 ones on eBay don't have flaws. I have one and I know other people who have them, no one has any problems with them. Just first learn how to put it on so you don't break it.

Undersized
I bought a tempered glass one from an online (no brand). It's undersized, about 1.5mm all around. Probably useful to allow a case to grip the front edge, but the description didn't say so. I feel cheated, but for the price it'll do.
My previous tempered glass ones (branded) were excellent protection, and felt better on my finger than the plastic ones.
[edit] I forgot to say, the shape is one with cut-out north of the top speaker, rather than the others I've seen with speaker hole.
Moto G Premium Quality Screen Protector is Anti Glare Matte edition in my recommendation.
it Protects your device from scratches & dust. Easy to Apply , Fits perfectly and requires no cutting. Comes with a cleaning cloth and application card. Easily removable with no sticky residue or marks
Tempered glass screen protector from amazon
I've been using a SPARIN tempered glass screen protector since I got my moto g in August. (It's about $8 on amazon; unfortunately I can't post a link, but it should be easy to find)
I've managed to crack it in at least 8 places (my phone falls a lot), but it hasn't picked up any scratches yet, and it's protected the actual glass underneath. If you're even a little proficient at holding things, it should be fine.
Snakehive protector
I've only had it a few days, but I bought a Snakehive tempered glass protector for my new G3, from their Amazon store. Very pleased so far. It has cutouts for the mouthpiece at the bottom and for the earpiece, light sensor and camera at the top, although at the top it doesn't surround them for some reason, but that's only a couple of milimetres uncovered. It was a breeze to put on when compared to film protectors. I laid it over the mouthpiece and it simply eased itself into place over the rest of the screen. Seems a bargain at the current £3.95.
I'm wanting to get the flip down case from Snakehive too, assuming they get more stock in.

First day of smartphone, yes good idea to have a screen protection. But now with gorilla glass, useless.
It's my point of view.

I used and have a Mr shield or something like that from Amazon super easy too install i've had no bubbles when placing it on the phone also bought a case where there was enough space that should it fall on the screen side it's not touching the floor I've dropped my phone about 5 times over the course of a year. Took off the case and replaced the screen protector and it still looks like brand new minus where I've blindly inserted the USB cord.
10 days to 1 year since i purchased the device . never used any screen protector and been 8 month since i didnt use any case either.
no scratches

Yeah, just acquired this phone from roommate, and he hasn't used any screen protectors either. Otterbox commuter covering it but that's it. No scratches.

my phone has some minor scuffs and little bend on bottom right corner but thats coz the phone fell from above 5 feet . must say the build quality is very solid
Honestly, you just don't need them these days. Had my G3 6 months, not a single scratch and I am hardly careful with it, gets thrown in pocket with keys and lose change, and dropped often because I am clumsy. Plenty of dents along the bezel but screen as good as new.
