Hi All,
I was hiking with my dogs and was running very low on power so I enabled ultra power saving mode. When I got home and charged my phone fully I couldn't find a way out of this and back to my normal phone. I re booted the phone and now it is stuck in a boot loop. I was running Nova Launcher which I think is the reason I cannot see the option to disable Ultra Power Saving.
The phone has never been rooted, I can get into recovery mode and I tried wiping the cache but it didn't work. Is the only option now to perform a factory reset from the recovery mode?
I thought I would ask here before to see if there was any way out of this
Thanks in advance for any help
Regards
Richard
Were you running a package disabler by any chance?

Yes I was running package disabler. I wasn't aggressive with what I disabled though. Mainly the bloatware apps that came with my phone and no services.
I ended up booting to the recovery and restoring from there and got a working phone again. No matter what I did I couldn't get it out of the boot loop.
At least I know now and will think twice about using the Ultra Power Saving Mode
That explains it. Even the basic package disables the ui for the ultra power saving mode and causes bootloops. I think there is a warning about that in the thread of package disabler itself. And they do mention the only solution is a factory reset.
I had package disabler, I re-enabled a few things and same issue. Bootloop even an odin flash wont fix.
there must be a way to flash custom recovery like twrp and then modify system in order to disable the program and get back in.
I found a Solution for those who are still Stuck in Ultra Power Saving Mode.
If you are stuck at Samsung Logo, call your own number and you will get option to answer or reject the call.
Reject the call.
Send an SMS to your number with Text "google.com"
Notification will appear.
Open the SMS and click the google.com link
Browser will open
Search for a Package DIsabler Software apk -ez disabler or package disabler pro etc.(You should pay the developer later)
Download and Install the app.
You will get Open Option right after Installation is finished.
Enable Emergency Launcher.
Press Home.
Voila, You can now exit UPSM without Factory Reset

my phone has been frozen at the samsung i9000 screen ever since opening this app.... i am very new to this do not understand most concepts here.. ie. flashing a rom. If anyone can help me get my phone out of this state or has any suggestions on how i should fix this please comment.
if you can get into recovery mode try flasing another rom via cwm or flash it using odin and download mode (flashing non wipe roms via cwm might leave your apps and data intact)
What is the full name of the app? How did you try using it? Do you know what firmware version your phone is on?
First thing to try is turn off, remove battery sim and any microSD. leave five minutes and put all back in and turn on.

Where did you get this from? It does not seem to be in the market.
OK just found it. Have a read off all the comments. Not good.

You could try restart holding Home Vol up and Power button then choose Clear cache and Factory reset.
or
Try restart the phone holding home Vol down and press power button to get into recovery mode. then plug in and open Kies go to tools and firmware recovery.

Is telling me i need recovery code, I have never received one.
Just read this so it may work for you.
disconnect the phone from USB, pull the battery, replace it, boot into recovery mode and reconnect the phone. Go back to Kies and tools firmware recovery.
In other words repeat what you have done :-s
Original post on Android Forums.
The message indicated that I would need a recovery code that could be obtained later by clicking Tools | Firmware Emergency Recovery Menu.
I was then instructed to disconnect the phone, pull the battery, boot into recovery mode and reconnect the phone which I did. The phone would not reconnect. At this point I called Samsung tech support and wasn't impressed when I was simply told to repeat the procedure. But to my surprise, the upgrade was successful the second time around. Go figure! Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else ran into the recovery code message.

Hi All - while in the process upgrading from the previous version of MIUI to this latest one, I accidentally selected the 'restart system option after formatting the system, cache and data without flushing the new ROM and now the phone won't boot up. It goes to the main Galaxy S screen followed by Galaxy S Glitch screen then it runs some coding (in seconds so i don't know what is says) and then back to main Galaxy screen in a loop.
What I have tried
> Going to recovery mode with vol up + home + power button (released @ first Samsung Screen) but then it goes back to second Galaxy S Glitch screen in the same loop.
> Going to download mode with vol down + home + power button and it does the same as going into recovery mode.
> Tried to do go into recovery and download mode multiple times using different combinations of vol up, vol down, home and power button without success.
> Read through the threads here but I was not able to find anything with the same or similar problem problem
> I tried to follow the help provided by Thyrador on this forum
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1109110 with Odin except using the jig method and no go
> Connecting phone to ODIN keeps on going rebooting in the phone in a loop as well.
I know if I can go into recovery mode I will be able to flush the new ROM but getting there is the problem.
I would appreciate your help with this and hope there is a fixable solution.

I have done that a few times and both CWM and download mode should be there.
Make sure everytime you try the 3 buttons you actually remove the battery before trying.
K.
Edit: the coding you are talking about is CWM trying something and that's shy I think it is still there.
Did you just format system?

Thanks for your response
I actually formatted the system, data and cache without flushing the new ROM.
I tried what you said about removing the battery but that didn't show anything on the screen when I tried the 3 buttons. Is that what you meant?
cheers

What I meant was a bit dumb as since you have a bootoop you would have removed the battery anyway each time to try.
I normally flash the same way like you and I always do a factory reset (which formats Data and cache and I do the system manually. Unless soemthing has gone seriously wrong I don't see why you would not be able to get back to recovery?
I have even done it today actually and managed to go back to recovery.
I would say try and boot into download mode. Did you use Download Mode in the past? Are you sure it is there?
I read somewhere else someone saying that it does not always work the first time. Give it a few tries.
Your last option would be the JIG obviously but hopefully you should be able to get it sorted without.
K.
To tell you the truth I always use an app to boot the phone into recovery or download mode however one of my work colleagues has always being able to reboot my phone into any of these modes using the three buttons - not sure how. I will continue to try anyway.
Thanks again for your response and for give me hope that this has happened to you in the past.
cheers
So this weird thing happened to my 1 month old Galaxy Note 5 with no root or any software modifications to it.
I was using it to send a text message yesterday and all of a sudden the phone hanged, did not restart by itself, the screen and the buttons were not responsive. I was able to restart the phone but it will not go beyond the Galaxy Note 5, powered by Android screen. I can restart the phone with Volume Down + Power but it will not go beyond that point. Holding the power button will not turn it off, so all I can do is restart the phone as well as enter download mode. I cannot enter recovery mode as I cannot switch off the phone. Tried to wait until the battery drained but once plugged in, the screen will automatically go to the Galaxy Note 5 Screen. Also tried pushing the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons before plugging the device in but still will not enter recovery mode.
When I got home, I tried using Smart Switch Initialization to re-flash firmware. Still the same problem.
Tried flashing with Odin 3.10.7 using latest firmware from my region. Firmware flash PASS but the problem is still the same: Cannot go beyond Galaxy Note 5 Screen, Cannot access Recovery Mode
Are there any other solutions that I can employ without tripping off Knox?
Thanks guys!
Did you find a way to fix this
Try wiping Cache in recovery.
If that doesn't work then a factory reset?
It will wipe everything on your device.
This is exactly the same scenario I am facing right now... exactly...
Hello, I have a SM-N920P with a custom FRP (FAP) Lock. I searched every forum and videos on YouTube to find out how I can unlock my phone. Most of the people downgrade the phone into 5.1.1 (Lolipop) or 6.0.1 (Masrshmellow) and the phone should boot to normal. However, I've used latest Odin (3.12) or Z3X Tool v27.2, and I cannot able to disable the FRP lock. I tried to used Z3X to disable the locked, but it kept saying "Searching Samsung USB Flash Interface... detected COM4
Setup connection... OK
Reading PIT from phone... OK
Searching FRP lock... OK
Erasing FRP... OK
Searching Reactivation lock... OK
Erasing Reactivation lock... error
Done with Samsung Tool PRO v.27.2"
Besides the FRP lock, I am unable to downgrade or using the stock ROM to flash the phone, it kept saying error and fail with various attempts. HOWEVER, I am able to flash my phone using the latest 7.0 Nougat (DQE1), and (DQC5). Yet, the phone keeps booting on a loop with a Samsung logo. This is a really rare case and I need anybody know more experience than me can help. Please reply ASAP and I'm looking forward for your reply. Thank you.
After flashing the stock 7.0 nougat. If it is in bootloop for 5-10 minutes. Power off your device. Go into recovery. Do a factory reset. Restart device.
Did you have any mods? I had the same problem yesterday. OEM Unlock was getting turned off and I don't know why. Just do a factory reset as the user above me said. Odin will not allow you to downgrade.
________
Hey, my phone is Sprint, too. My phone was getting the FRP lock after a few reboots. I have done several mods like TWRP, root by the latest Magisk, deodex, edge panels, csc tweaks...etc. The FRP lock debacle was on the newest Sprint build wich is DQF1. I downgraded to DQE1 and I noticed that OEM unlock was disabled. I guess that was the problem. In over 9 months of owning this unlocked phone, I didn't touch the OEM unlock. (I'm on a GSM Network)
BTW, OEM Unlock is located in Depeloper Options, to enable it you must enable developer options by going into the menu, search the build number and tap it several times.

Thank you, based on what you guys saying, I understand that Samsung won't let you downgrade. I able to boot up 7.0 Nougat firmware to the phone (DQE1), and (DQC5). However, I keep getting bootloop after using Odin to flash the phone, and FRP lock is still on. Is there any tickmarks on ODIN that I have to check such as "Nand erase", "Auto reboot", "Flash lock", "F-reset time" or anything in the tickmarks? Then, I couldn't access to the recovery mode (vol up + home + power ) after odin sucessful flashed my phone. Is it because I got stuck in a bootloop and I cannot turn off my phone? I tried to took the battery off so the phone can be turn off, then when I tried to go to recovery mode, it's a bootloop again...Please help, I'll try different ways in order to get the phone to work again. Thank you.

You dont need to take out the battery. In note 5 you can power off the device by pressing Power button + Volume down button at the same time.
Do a factory reset using recovery.

Thank you. You made it sound so easy. I able to turn off the phone, but I still cannot access to the recovery mode. Is it vol up + power button + home for recovery? That's what I do after flash the phone, turn it off, and still a boot loop. FRP still on if I go back to download mode. Are you sure my tickmarks on ODIN is right? Heres a link for the pic: ibb.co/fHwwVF

You dont need nand erase. Anyways seems like it wasnt the issue.
Power off device (Power + Volume Down)
Recovery (Power + Volume Up + Home)
Factory Reset.
Maybe try to flash again with only Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time TICKED.

I tried multiple attempts but it doesn't work. Bootloop even though I tried to put into recovery mode. Nothing happend. Is it because of FRP lock? Or do I have to switch the rom or anything in the phone?

Did you try flashing stock rom again? Tick only Auto Reboot and F. Reset time in Odin.
And keep in mind one thing. The first boot takes about 4-5 minutes.
Try flashing stock rom again if its still in bootloop then try going in recovery mode and do a factory reset.
If it still doesnt work then maybe I can help you through skype video.
Yea, I tried stock rom Nougat 7.0 for my N920P. Matter of fact, I tried to use other 7.0 firmware for the device but still the same. I can't downgrade like you mention. I continue to get bootloop, and I still cannot access to recovery mode no matter how I tried. It would be wonderful If you can do skype video.

Hi everyone,
today I received my s10 Exynos version 128gb 8gb.
After transferring my data and started to configure my phone.
Right after installing the gcam 3.5 of Idan for rootless phone, I tried to make a screenshot with the Bixby and power button,
and the phone turns off, when I decided to turn on boom, some upload page with a message kernel crashed, after that I held power and v+dwn and the phone booted on safe mode, and this loop of the message and the safe mode like 5 times, then in safe mode I uninstalled the gcam of idan, and apparently for now all goes fine.
i don't know what to do, I saw this was a little normal in old phones, but can't find any information about that on s10 yet.
Anyone with the same problem? What did you make for resolving that?
Sorry for the bad English.
Thanks for everyone, by now my advise is not to install the gcam 3.5 of Idan that I download on their website.
Below I will post the link that I downloaded the apk
https://f.celsoazevedo.com/file/gcamera/GCam_5.1.018.177470874.41362666_IDan_N6_3.5_fix.apk
thanks for everyone!
EDIT: i just figure it out, that the button of volume down is stucked down, so when i hit the power it just inter in safe mode, i donto know what to do but i think thats the problem
EDIT2: volume down button stucked forcing the phone to always boot at safe mode. returning this phone
