Unlock, Root, Mod, Unroot, Relock Procedure? - T-Mobile LG G4

Is there a procedure to unlock the bootloader, root, uninstall some of the T-Mobile apps and make a few changes, then unroot, and relock the bootloader?
Everything I've seen so far requires re-flashing everything back to stock, I was hoping to avoid that. (Obviously, the bootloader and recovery would be stock when I'm done, just not the system)

The locked bootloader will not boot a modified system partition. As such revert to stock is required. Question is still open on relocking the bootloader post MM. After MM the unlock is visible on the boot screens where previously it was not. This would be an instant giveaway on any warranty claims.

Thanks, that's what I thought but I wasn't sure.

[Q] Re-lock after root, and keep root?

Hi all - I've read that in order to root it is necessary to unlock the bootloader and then root, but I've also read some threads where the bootloader can be re-locked. My question is whether I can still be rooted then, maybe with the use of OTA rootkeeper or some such. I haven't rooted yet (my prime uses would initially be for adblocking and wifi tether), but I'm thinking I will soon. However, I'd really like to be able to hold out until the 4.2/4.3 OTA comes out before flashing ROMS (need stable bluetooth in a bunch of areas, and want to wait and see if there are problems with that update in stock).
So, any way to be stock, re-locked and rooted?
Can't you just root using the normal method then flash stock recovery to remove "*** Tampered***" and then re-lock with fastboot? You're system partition wont be stock obviously because it will have the su binary. You're boot loader will say "*** Relocked ***" though. I'm thinking it might be possible to remove "*** Relocked ***" using JTAG if someone can find the area in memory where the history of unlocking is stored.
Unlock bootloader, flash custom recovery, use Aroma File manager to copy su to /system/bin and set permissions, reflash stock recovery, relock bootloader, install Superuser from play store. This should work but I haven't tried it.

Upgrading rooted stock ROM to new stock OTA

My gf has HTC One with latest stock T-Mobile US ROM, unlocked bootloader, is rooted, and has TWRP. T-Mobile is about to release an OTA (source), and I am wondering how to go about installing it. AFAIK, stock recovery is required, AND the bootloader needs to be locked again. If this is the case, re-rooting will require unlocking the bootloader and thus doing factory reset? Is there a simpler way to do this?
Stock recovery and preinstalled apps needed
Bootloader locked not needed
There are many posts written about this read them first

FYI I have actually tried running an RUU on unlocked bootloader with stock recovery, kept failing until I relocked the bootloader...

What if: I want to completely unroot, unlock and install OTA

I am currently Rooted, unlocked bootloader, running a 5.0.2 ROM and TWRP. If I just wanted to unroot, lock boot loader and star from scratch. Meaning, accept OTA, unlock bootloader, root and install TWRP. Is this possible?
Yes.
If you want to make it easy

I wouldn't re-lock these devices ever... maybe if you sell it or turn it in. Too risky. Just use Wugs from that link, once 5.1 is there, flash it using his toolkit. Then root. Done.
I can't believe the amount of threads here and in the Nexus 9 board where guys are bricking their devices due to that darn "OEM unlock" being unchecked.

Does re-locking bootloader bring the phone back to 100% factory state?

I know that for some phones, e.g. some Sony phones, if you unlock the bootloader, it will permanently delete some stuff from the phone (DRM keys and whatnot) and you can't get it back even if you re-lock and flash a stock ROM. Is it similar for Xiaomi? Or can I re-lock the bootloader, flash the stock ROM and make the phone 100% functional and indistinguishable from one that was never unlocked?
Yes.
no problem

How to go back to stock and relock the Bootloader?

Hello
i have to sell my device so i want to get it to stock again.
My current Setup:
Bootloader Unlocked, Stock Recovery, Rooted with Magisk, Stock ROM 9.0.0.283
What are the Steps to go Back to Stock and wipe everything?
Ive read that if the bootloader relock again it is not able to unlock the second time? Is this correct? I want to get the Unlock Code to the person who buy it but if its real, he cant use the code anymore..
anyway is it possible to do the job with the Stock E-Recovery in the current state of my phone? Without bootloader Relocked? Or is it necessary to relock the bootloader again?
Thank you very much

Ask the buyer if they want it locked. Personally it wouldn't be worth my time if it couldn't be unlocked again. Better to check first..
If you want to lock (not relock) bl justdownload your adequate firmware from androidhost.ru and flash fw using Usb-otg method.
You can unlock/lock your bl using unlock code anytime you want (provided you haven't changed your mainboard in the meantime).

I thought you wanted to go back to stock. I've already gave you solution to bring back all the way stock.
I m not sure if it's even possible to re-lock bootloader using fastboot when you're on pie.
Bootloader status re-locked still means your warranty is void.

Hey I've tried this otg method but without success
If I try it with the dload folder option and try to force flash the emui updater throws an error.
Even with the dialer code method.. same..
I'm not able to get it to stock.
I've tried the Huawei suite on PC and phone in fastboot mode..same..massage this phone can't be reset or so..
What can I do next?
Current state, halfway working phone that's boot into os 2 times from 10 reboots.
