I love tempered glass screen protectors but it seems like all the glass protectors for the Nexus 6 have bad reviews on Amazon. Does anyone have a suggestion on what screen protector I should use? Has anyone tried the Zagg Invisibleshield glass screen protector?
I initially put a Skinomi tech skin on when I received my phone, thinking it would be a temporary solution until tempered glass would be available. Well, I'm still waiting, but the Skinomi is excellent. No orange peel, doesn't mess with the proximity sensor and the feel is great. It is a wet apply protector though, if that concerns you.
Have a look in the Nexus 6 accessories forum. Lots of discussion and reviews in there.
If you are going to 5.1, make sure you have a protector that has cut outs for the proximity sensor, lots of folks have had issues with black screens after cell calls due to the screen protector.
I purchased 2 protectors that both have cutouts for the sensors. Not a commercial endorsement; Jelly Comb Premium 9H $7.99 and Fosmon TOUCH Crystal Clear 0.26mm $7.99 both from Amazon. I put on the Fosmon and no bsod.
I have ordered many screen protector on ebay and most are ugly and with bad dimension respect of my galaxy s6 edge.
After i tried know brands:
1) Spigen flex hd protector:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60261658&postcount=82
Good dimension but with strange texture and orange effect.
2) Spigen Steinheil Curved Crystal
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61416391&postcount=102
Best protector imho but after a 1 day top right corner no longer remains on the screen. I noticed that there are many with the same problem. ( i want to try again in future )
3) Now i tried the Gadget Shieldz, wet application.
Perfect dimension, fit 99.8% on the edge, a very slight orange effect but good feel and apparence.
I am waiting for a decent tempered glass...

No Clear Curved Glass Screen protectors that I can find as of yet. I have seen several "colored" glass protectors and frankly they are all crap - pure crap frankly - I installed an Icarez Curved PET protector and it is really good - but they aren't selling it any more - at least not for now -
I found this: http://www.bodyguardz.com/screenguardz-hd-contour-screen-protector-for-samsung-galaxy-s7-edge.html From Bodyguardz - but I haven't seen it yet - and Spigen Just released a similar one - but still no Clear Curved Glass -
I keep hoping - but thought I would share those links...hope they are helpful -

The contour by bodyguardz isn't very good. I couldn't get it on very well and it looked like crap after I finally did. Also Ive bought a few accessories that aren't on this list, ill get the links and tell you what I think about them.

This is the wireless charging pad I'm using. Seems to charge it pretty fast, and I like how it is propped up so I can read texts and notifications on it.

This, in my opinion is a great alternative to otterbox. I also have one for my Nexus 6p. Great protection in my opinion. And it looks pretty good. I don't know if they are gonna make a defender series for our phone, this may be a good alternative.

Added. Thanks.
I would add the products from x-skinz.com
Hi.
I just bought one full body shield from x-skinz.com
A friend told me about them and also he gave me a coupon code for 10%.
I allready get it and it is amazing. It is like zagg but much better quality of the film and cover the entire display .
and at 9.$ ..... it is more than a bargain .
Also what I found there is a Glow in the Dark skin. I guess it looks amazing on the phone..... maybe the next.
For whom it is interested the code is skinz10 . Hope it still works.
Cheers.
I think you should take off the luvvitt screen protector from the list. Or at least put a disclaimer saying it could crack when applying or even before you receive it. None of the reviews on amazon are positive, at all. All one stars
Supcase Unicorn Beetle. Nice case, it is thin, offers better grip and has good protection around the edges. Would purchase again. http://www.amazon.com/SUPCASE-Unico...r=1-3&keywords=supcase+unicorn+beetle+s7+edge
Also received the Luvvit tempered glass screen protector today. I didn't manage to break in during installation. Clarity is poor, touch sensitivity is horrible and it pops when tapped in certain areas of the screen. Adhesive is only at the top and bottom of the protector. i have had the Luvvit protectors before on other phones andthey have been pretty good, but not in this case. Definitely wouldn't purchase again although it will be staying on until a better tempered glass protector emerges.
Would anyone recommend this screen protector?
Right now I have a Spigen case (the one with carbon fiber inserts) and the skinomi screen protector but they just aren't a good match, screen keeps getting detached from screen by the case arround the edges and its really annoying.

Urban Armor Gear - ICE Composite Case for S7 Edge
I have used Urban Armor Gear since the Galaxy Note 3 days and I can say that they do not disappoint. I am really digging the design. The UAG Composite Case for the S7 Edge is a very lightweight minimalistic case. The case I am reviewing is specifically the ICE variant and it has a clear plastic back with black TPU edges. The clear plastic back is smooth on the outside and textured on the inside. There are false TORX screws on the back to add a design flare.
It is made up of a semi-rigid TPU shell with extra thick corner bumpers and textured edges for grip. For a slippery phone, I appreciate the texture. I am not sure if the honeycomb texture on the inside of the case serves a purpose. I almost wish that it was on the outside.
The case covers the metal that goes around the phone with little to no overlap of the screen. The sides are lowered to make use of the Edge's curved screen and I find that it does not impede any swiping action from the sides like some other cases.
The edges on the top and the bottom of the phone are raised so if you were to put the phone upside down, the screen won't be scratched. Some other cases are flush with the screen and offer no protection for customers who place their phone screen side down.
Cutouts on the phone are perfect. I personally use Shure SE-215 earphones and they have a bulky headphone jack. It plugs in without issue. The cutouts for both microphones are aligned along with a cutout for the speaker and Micro-USB port with plenty of clearance. There isn't a cutout for the SIM/MicroSD slot but I personally don't remove my MicroSD card or SIM. I'll remove the case to get at that if I need.
Buttons are clicky and lined up perfectly. I do not get any phantom button presses like some other cases. They are raised and you can feel the buttons very distinctly without looking.
The case is thin so it works fine with Wireless Charging without any issue.
Use on car docks can vary depending on whether you have a magnetic, pressure grip, or sticky pad docks.
I don't see any issue with pressure grips provided the grip can extend around the case. (I'll update with measurements)
I don't see any issue with magnetic based card docks provided a thin metal plate is placed on the back of the phone. There is not enough clearance to place button magnets between the phone and the case.
I can see this case having issues with a stick pad dock as the back is not flat due to the design.
Rating:
Protection: 10/10 (For a minimalistic case.)
Design: 10/10
Cutouts: 10/10
Buttons: 10/10
Overall: 10/10
I'm using Griffin Survivor Clear Tough Rear Case Cover. Now, S7 edge being my first edge device, I can say before I couldn't hold the phone comfortable, it just felt wrong and I always thought I'm going to drop it, but now it's ok. It works perfect and I prefer simple, minimal and clear covers. Now Just need to get a tempered glass for the front and that is it... but actually I'm thinking it will ruin the display and just get an insurance for it for damage & lost and that's it.

attached. sorry would have done it sooner but don't know why they didn't want to upload
Seems like good cases
Any recommendations for armbands? I'm looking for a good armband that I'm able to use with or without a low profile case like tech21 and I'm able to put my id and credit card.
Hey guys am looking for a tempered glass screen protector I've seen the thread about everything but am not really upto reading though 30 pages.. what's the best tempered glass protector out there with edge to edge coverage? BTW am UK and not wanting to leave my phone naked for too long thanks!
There are people saying that the current curved tempered glass edge to edge screen protectors are cracking from cases, Gear VR, and even basic installation. It sucks but I would wait for confirmation from the community that it is safe to buy and install.
It could have been a bad batch but it's not worth it to spend $15-$50 for the thing to break in the first few minutes.

People are saying all the current edge glass protectors are manufactured from the same factories and just rebranded and resold as different products. They all suffer from similar fitment issues and inaccurate colors. Spigen is working on a curved glass protector for the s7e so I would wait until that comes out.

Until a decent one is available I highly recommend picking up a film one. I got a scratch from the lint in my pocket last night and have a film on as of 3 hours ago. No more braveness for me. For what it's worth, I picked up the film protector from T-Mobile and it's actually pretty good.
Trust me, for now, the best you'll get is www.ultimateshield.co.uk
There is no tempered one worth wasting money on.
The current "tempered" glass are actually plastic with bad fitment.
spigen are not working on a tempered glass screen for the s7 edge, they confirmed via twitter they have no plans for one at this moment
i echo ultimateshield recommendation above, full body coverage for 8.99 and no lifting issue with spigen tough armour case
clear film, no colour or orange peel effect and is invisible... perfectly cut
Well, I just got a tempered glass form ebay for the S7 Edge, absolutely awful quality, I echo that the tempered glass protectors are just absurd crap quality for the S7 Edge, the one I got just fogs up the display and washes out the picture.
i got mine from the ee store. 1 piece, i gold, sits right on top. took 2 minutes to install and looks great. sensitivity good. cost me 20. well worth it

Used the bundled case for a couple of days, realised its just a scratch proof cover, no impact protection.
Ordered a Spigen bumper case and wet application Spigen film, somehow was not satisfied with the protection it offered.
Nothing happened to the phone after a 3' drop, the Spigen case worked well and the film felt a bit flimsy.
Looking out for a full case; then found this on Amazon
"SUPCASE Full-body Rugged Holster Case with Built-in Screen Protector for Galaxy Note 8 (2017 Release), Unicorn Beetle Shield Series"
Covers the phone completely, and has a plastic film screen protector. Impact protection is awesome, but the screen response with the film deteriorates.
Popped out the plastic film,& installed a tempered glass screen protector. The cover matches up well with the glass screen protector.
"SUPCASE Galaxy Note 8 Screen Protector, Premium Edge-to-Edge Full Coverage Tempered Glass Screen Protector"
Installation of both is a breeze, both over in 30 mins. Ofcourse, the sensitivity of the screen reduces slightly, esp on the curved edge and when u have dry fingers. Better than cracked screen/back, i have magic fingers, make me drop almost everything I hold!!!
Used it for about a month, adds bulk n weight to the device, then, I have big hands & this feels good to hold.
And the wireless charging works perfectly, and the stylus helps when fingers give up!
Product link pls.

Update:
The tempered glass broke when i was replacing the SIM, ordered a new 1. The installation was a breeze, seems to adhere better to the screen, very less loss in sensitivity... Quality variation in production or Spigen really improved their glass shape, or both?
