Anyone? - Xiaomi Mi Note Pro

Wondering if anyone is working on a new rom now the sources have been released.

It does not seem like it. I have been looking a lot around the net. I am considering selling mine.

I already built some ROMs for other phones and tablets but you guys need to understand that this is not something that is done in a day !
With my ******* connection I am not even done with the download of the sources ! Then you need to make some adjustments, sync, gather all the sources and finally build which is a really heavy process and right now since I need my computer to work, I can't let him build and compile.
I'll definitely build some ROM for this device since I want to try new ROMs but I need more time

That sounds encouraging. Even if the performance were increased (less battery drain) on the existing Mokee and CM 12.1 Roms, we would be in a better place. I am currently on Mokee 14/03 and the battery drain makes it very difficult to use out and about.

Hi ectoplasma22, I hope you could build a nice rom for this phone, because the smartphone deserves it! Can you say me if you have found some bugs on the Mokee one? Is all working on it? I'm now on miui europe stable and the rom is good but I see some limitation of the Miui rom wich are a little annoying like errors converting user app in system app system and many, but however I found how to switch the 2k dispay resolution to 1080 and the battery life increased +30%, also if I'm getting error writing screenshots on sdcard and some apps see only a small area to work, and the cursor for those apps is blocked in a small space, like the app Nice Eyes which can't be placed on the eyes. Do you know a secure way to change resolution without get anu bugs?

Lots of comments in the Mokee thread here on battery drain. http://en.miui.com/thread-228046-1-1.html
Great that it's working for you, but mine is way worse than miui for drain. Seems to be related to min cpu frequency being high during idle.
I also notice that the cm 12.1 thread has a known issue on needing to have two sims inserted and using the second for lte if you want to use lte. http://en.miui.com/thread-234339-1-1.html. I'm not sure if this impacts Mokee too or if related to battery drain (I have one sim only in sim 2). But my drain is a lot better when aeroplane mode is on.

Android 6 coming from nian, only sound is bugged..

I'm glad I asked now, things seem to happening slowly, Mokee is ok battery no great but passable, I needed to enter APN manually as some of the fields were missing causing crazy issues.

[Q] Good battery ROM

Hello people,
first of all I want to say that I know there are more questions like this one, but I couldn't find an up-to date one.
I'd prefer an ICS or later rom since.. well the GB roms are quite outdated, but if you know a rom which offers a great battery life don't hesitate to tell about it.
I'm corrently using CM10 unofficial from Pengus77:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2058231
Here is a screenshot of my current battery life with light use (no data, little wifi for whatsapp and sometimes checking my timetable screenshot) :

Please let me know if you know a very battery-friendly rom.
Edit:
And it's not like I have an ancient battery or something ( +- half a year old).
Hello!
I'm using Paranoid Android and I like it a lot. Battery life is really great. I'm using my phone from morning till the night and almost always battery last long enough. I'm using it for surfing, listening music, phone calls, messages so I think that this is really nice rom.
AW: [Q] Good battery ROM
Got to confirm that! Using PA with Kowalski kernel 113, OC @ 1,3 GHz some small UV and a great app as recommended by pengus and tonyp which is greenify! Take a look at it

Wise choice.
Note: Don't judge the battery too fast. Wait till it have done a few cycle charges (meaning: plug charger in at a low battery percentage, keep it charching till its 100% - repeat few times.).

Yes, I will (although a lot of people say you should only charge to 80/90% to not overcharge your battery)
What governor are you all using btw? just normal interactive?
Update: installed the rom, all my apps, filled in my preferences/personal customisation etc. and I lost about 25%
so everything seems to go quite well with this rom.
Just one question:
what is a good alternate theme instead of the xperia one?

Well, here are the results of the PA rom:
As you can see the battery life is MUUUCH better. This is at almost the same usage as seen on the other screenshot so It's a fair comparison.
Thank you for informing me about this great rom and as a token of my esteem I'll give you all a :good:.

Nice new rom to play with.
Just a few errors in the OP, not sure if you noticed them yet...
New power mwnu from SlimRoms;
Lockscreen tragets and shortcuts from SlimRoms;
Lockascreen PIN key pad shuffler;
Regardless, it's great to see another ROM to play around with!
Ok will fix them., thanks mate.
In the other hand im having Internet issues and the upload got cancelled 3 times already for slow upload. Will do tomorrow if i dont get an update done before uploading with lots of more options to play with.
Op updated with download link
What doesn't work? lol
Downloading
Everything works that i know of.
Idk if this is a Google thing or we just have amazing devs. But I feel like it was SO much easier to make a stable 4.4 build then any other one.

Soo... are you SVLan with a different name? I noticed SVLan is no longer the OP for PureSpeedX. Just curious. I'm running PureSpeedX and it is the fastest, best battery life ROM that has ever existed for the AHD, so if this is from the same guy, I can't wait to play with it. Can we expect that kind of speed? If we have that kind of speed and halfway comparable battery life along with customizations like you have here, this will be insane. I get easily 2 work days worth of medium use out of PSX. That's unheard of for any android really. Anyways, can't wait to test it out, especially the active notifications. Will be flashing ASAP.
Yes im the same guy.
About this rom, this version is not compare in speed and battery life as CM11 is know to drain battery faster the stock kitkat. But for the options and display animations this one have is very responsive. Will get way better on the coming update soon
The ROM looks good
Very nice customizations, smooth, can't say about battery life yet
I can finally use themes and halo
External SD is still not working on TiBu

That will be fix on next release
Does it install clean without boot loops ? Lol

Well, I figured that much. CM always uses more battery than AOSP, but when you get two days of battery life, I'd gladly sacrifice half that for customization lol. CM has never hit the battery enough to cause a problem, so if I can get two days out of PSX, surely I can get one day out of this easily. Still can't wait to try it out! Thanks!
Problems with keyboard with swipe and immediately closes with no error, problems with signal sometimes drops it all with no network. Airplane mode fixes it for a little. No vibration feedback anywhere except navigation bar.
Is it just me or is the gapps link not working??

[Q] Xperia Z and CM 11 - Am missing "Stamina"

Heya,
Im a total phone n00b, but was sick of Sony's bloated updates so did some googling and successfully installed CM11 on my Xperia Z (went from Sony's official 4.3 build)
Im greatly prefering the nightly CM11 builds, they are more stable than Sony's 4.3 update  Before someone says, I do realise this isnt released as stable software, but Im fine with that, it works really well. Im just looking for ways work around some of the issues :fingers-crossed:
I am having a couple of problems, I would ask in the development forum but dont have the permission to do so, so hopefully someone can help me here.
#1 Im getting Music stuttering/artifacts when playing MP3's. It seems to be a common thing on the Z at the moment.. I did some playing and the only fix I have found is running Android Tuner with the CPU setting at performance, which plays smoothly without any issue. None of the other less power hungry settings seem to be able to play MP3's smoothly.
#2 Battery life sucks. I get about 6 hours of average use now. On the official 4.2 software Id get an easy 10 hours with the same use.
Im guessing my issues are very much one and the same thing. The sony builds come with "Stamina" the app that controls clock speeds etc and greatly increases battery life.
Ive downloaded Android Tuner, and DU Battery saver, in an effort to try and reproduce what Stamina was doing, but I cant find the combination of settings that work.
Does anyone have any ideas on what settings to run? A single app that does what Stamina does? Any other ideas on how to get my phone fast enough to play MP3s, without requiring a diesel generator towed behind it for the hourly recharge would be great
Thanks!
Not to diss cyanogenmod or anything but currently nightlies are a bit iffy, may work well for you but may I suggest for the time being you switch to beanstalk ROM you will get superior battery life, performance and a a lot more features it should also fix audio as I've experienced excellent audio quality with the ROM.

A very got alternative to Stamina is Greenify. It hibernates apps when you don't use them. It is basically the same thing Stamina does. The only thing you won't have is that internet connection won't turn off when you switch off your screen. But with Tasker or Llama you can create a profile to change to 2G when turning off screen and switch back to 3G or even Lte when turning screen on.
Sent from my Xperia Z using XDA Premium 4 mobile app.
Because Xperia Z's CyanogenMod11 default CPU voltage is higher than the Sony official system, only to be saving by reducing the CPU voltage. But CyanogenMod11 kernel does not support CPU voltage drop, third-party kernel "MEOW-kernel.v1.12.17-kitkat" currently does not support the CPU voltage drop. To power saving can only wait "MEOW-kernel" support a voltage drop.
This is my Xperia Z with CM 11.0
Use the Snapdragon Battery Guru app. It's specially designed for Snapdragon processors by Qualcomm. It's does a pretty similar job to what Stamina Mode does.

Same with me, June and said it's the latest. XT1602.
Running CM13 and Squid's kernel. Screen-on seems to drain this thing pretty fast even when WiFi is off, screen off it seems like it can last forever. I don't know the exact model number, but I have the single SIM 16/2 model, non carrier specific purchased straight from Motorola.
I don't know how this compares to stock Android or stock kernel, as I unlocked this thing's bootloader and flashed everything I have now without even getting the chance to experience what stock firmware was like.

I have the xt1601 and i'm in retail mx It is possibly that
I just reverted to the "stock" kernel CM comes with and I don't see much improvement compared to what I was getting in the previous post with Squid's custom kernel. It could just be a defective device I have (this, plus the screen brightness seems to "transition" from one brightness setting to another VERY slowly), but with CM installed, it's a bit late for me to do anything about it...
I am very impressed with the battery life. I have the phone a little over a week now, and have yet to kill it by bed time.

Whatever the stock settings were, don't remember changing anything around.
I am Using the latest official build of RR with squid's kernel. Its working really great for me but the battery really drains very quickly compared to stock. Can anyone suggest kernel tweaks or system settings to improve the battery life?
Pretty good
So far, the battery life is pretty good. Lasts long enough. I'm using Resurrection Remix 5.8.0 and Squid kernel.

The most stable, battery friendly AOSP ROM for K20 Pro?

Hi everyone,
I have been using the stock miui for some time without any dramas. I wouldn't mind going back to an AOSP ROM. The main thing holding me back right now is, I find stock miui 12 to be really stable, battery friendly, and retains all the camera functionality. Also, I haven't needed to stuff around with magisk or whatever (excuse me, it has been ages since using a custom ROM) to get basic things apps Netflix working.
So if anyone has any suggestions for which rom to check out, please make them. Keeping in mind the following;
Battery Life
Stability
Camera Functionality
Apps like Netflix working
Thanks for reading if you've made it this far, and I'll make sure to click thanks if you reply.

I have recently left xiaomi.eu on this phone and tried a few ROMs. Most gave me problems with ANX and GCam. The only one on which both work is RR. I don't install a lot of apps and don't spend hours on the phone but battery usage is way better than the most optimized xiaomi.eu ROM.

Gcam and anx camera works perfectly for me in evox.
Make sure you have flashed the rom right.
Pixel Experience is running smoothly. Battery management is very good. While running tons of apps in the background I still can get around 9 hours of SoT (screen on time).
I use this ROM as a daily driver for about 2 months and still had no problems. Apart from this, I fully recommend to use GCam instead of built-in camera app.

Best battery on pe+, however fingerprint is not as good as open source vendor and aod has a broken animation so it's best to not use it imo. Camera works same as stock if you install and camera correctly
For me havoc os is best in battery department
Thanks a lot for the replies guys. Have a lot of ROM threads to check out.
