Fixes/Patches For Bugs:
Lock Screen won't rotate? Check this thread out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexu...creen-t2969024
No YouTube HD? Set it to 480p or off of 720p60 as this is the setting the KFHD 8.9"/7" crashes on
Screen randomly flashes? (Still looking for a fix on this one, Yes, Very annoying)
Gapps Keep force closing/Crashing? reinstall your ROM! It happens when you update your ROM without wiping /data.
Weird overall stuttering/jumping around in the ROM itself? not a bug, I noticed this in Pac-Rom 4.4.2, it's the ROM.
For any other bugs please reply! Again, my kindle is no longer my daily driver as a tablet (Actually, I switched to iOS) so I'm kind of rusty when it comes to remembering bugs (I've actually flashed every one of these Roms and used them! O_O)

I heard that LiquidSmooth (4.4.4) has LTE support. however, the site that hosted those builds went down, and you're out of luck unless someone mirrors the builds.

Anyone tried CM 10.2 (Android 4.3) yet?

So it looks like Cyanogenmod 10.2 was released early this morning as a nightly. It's based on Android 4.3, which was released for the Nexus devices a few weeks ago I think.
I've been pretty happy with the nightly version of 10.1 I've had on my phone for a couple of weeks now, but I think I might backup my phone and see whether the latest version is worth keeping.
Anyone tried it already and have any comments?
Edit: Tried it, can't use it yet. Keyboard problems, freezing. Oh well.
Been running for about 4 hours at this point, all apps restored.
Had one blue screen reboot on screen wake.
First impression is that it is very smooth. Focal force closes so can't try that.
Camera works but is not stable.
Definitely a beta but off to a good start for the first 10.2. But I can't live with random reboots so back to 10.1-M3 for now.
10.2 has different vold configs
In the 10.1.2 nightlies I was able to manually edit /syste/etc/vold.fstab to swap internal and external sd-card.
This has changed under JB 4.3 and CM 10.2.x. Details are provided here:
http://source.android.com/devices/tech/storage/index.html
[ UPDATE ] Root also works differntly in JB 4.3, so that needs to be sorted as well.

I never restore apps when testing these cause it can cause problems. Did you use Titanium to restore the apps?
No. Just letting the restore function do it from the market.
I installed the nightlies of 8-16-13 and so far (no jinx) hasn't gave me any problems...ofcourse instagram video n pics don't work but other then that its good..so 10.2 cm is based on 4.3? I didn't see it in the tmo cm page...can u share a link if possible?

Yes, it is 4.3.
The test is to see if you can run for several days with no unexpected restarts. If you are able to do that , then be sure and post and tell others about it because that has been the problem for many months now.
All CyanogenMod downloads are always available at http://get.cm
Just scroll down to quincytmo on the left, then choose nightly on top left.
Cool...found it...now there's a newer nightly for 10.1 can I just flash the zip without restarting anythin? Thnx...
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T879 using xda premium
If you are running a 10.1 you can just run your cm updater and chosen the new 10.1 nightly.
If you go from 10.1 to 10.2, you should do a typical new ROM procedure. A backup, then factory reset, then flash the new ROM, then the 2013-8-13 gapps, then wipe dalvik and cache, then finally reboot.
I put the boot from the quincytmo 10.2 into the Pacman 4.3 alpha zip. Also using PA 4.3 gapps. Will let you know how it goes.
Been using it for almost 3days. Works great and smooth. At first, youtube seems to crash always, gps doesn't work and i can't download and even update my apps in playstore. (what i did is that reinstall youtube, and sign out my google acct. and then sign in it again to fix playstore and dunno how GPS was fixed . Wiping cache & dalvic cache and rebooting ma phone helped. And now everything's going and works so smooth! N i love it.
Btw focal doesn't work at all. Dunno how to fix it. Always crashes.
Other than that.. Still the best )

You'll have to use TWRP for ATT. Also, flash the T-Mobile radio too. This isn't supported for T-Mobile so backup and flash at your own risk.

Honestly, all I'm doing is swapping files around with winrar. There has to be a compatible boot image though. Unfortunately, without a T-Mobile official JellyBean update, I don't think we can use ATT touchwiz JB roms. A shame as I installed Padawan JB on my friend's i717 and it was killer.
Really though, there are already enough 4.1.2 and 4.2.2 roms to keep me occupied for the time being. I've sort of shyed away from the 4.2 roms as of late and have been just playing with the very stable 4.1 setups as I don't want my phone rebooting on me while I'm at a party or want to have my camera instantly available.
Well to know how to swap files id be lost! I used to have a quincyatt and yeah padawan was really good but 4g speeds on tmobile network were horrible...yeah there are lots of roms but the more we get the more excited we get...

What radio are you using with Padawan? I've just been using UVLG3 modem and it's been good enough for streaming youtube.
Ive been using that one and yes its really good but here I meant was I used to use blaze modem with att phone and it was horrible speeds...thats why I switched to tmo note...

Some of you may read the ATT Note forum. Over there the member ~SoulTaker~ has been compiling Cyanogenmod 10.2 on his own for those users. Because Cyanogenmod has not been creating 10.2 nightlies for the Note.
I have a compile and upload routine setup to produce UNOFFICIAL 10.2 nightlies for the Tmobile note if you want to try them. all are working OK so far, they are the same as what we would be getting from the Cyanogenmod build servers if they were building nightlies for us. All the standard warnings apply.
Here is the link to my google drive folder with the files. Click on the file you want, you will get an error because it can't preview, then look for the download arrow on the bottom right of the screen, click that.
Changelog is the regular 10.2 changelog (when it is up) and look between the date of the last file and the newest. http://10.2.cmxlog.com/?device=quincytmo
NOTE** I am just generating the zip file from Cyanogenmods github, not creating anything. So can't help you if you want a feature or fix or something.

Cyanogenmod 12.1 t-mobile lg g4

So does this mean cyanogenmod will be coming to us soon since we have root and recovery?
I also wanna know if now that we have root can we fix touch screen issues?

I been looking for the kernel tree. Once i get it i will biuld many roms. The problem they have there is that the kernel they are using is not the one for the device. I think i can bring at least cm12.1, validus, tesla, dirty unicorns, broken and blisspop just to mention few. But again i need the device tree to start building.

Look for SGS Touchscreen Booster, install it from Play, slide the top bar all the way to the left, and click all of the apply buttons. It's fixed my touchscreen issues.

Hopefully once ROMs start to flow in, we won't have continuous bluetooth issues like we did with the G3.

Isn't this the kernel tree for the T-mobile LG G4 H811? I know these open source vendor repos don't always build easily without tweaks (and sometimes big time makeovers), but this is where I was going to start with some hobby builds.

Android 6 vs Android 5, which is better?

Hi. I need to ask this. Which one is better for all of you. I need to now it!.
Thanks
Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow is better.
Use Google, you can find out why.
And if you're asking specifically about our device, then Android Marshmallow is better. The battery life in marshmallow CM is twice that of lollipop thanks to Doze and the new enhancements to battery life.
Lollipop is at End Of Life.
It's better for people who can make it work for them. ..
---------- Post added at 05:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:16 AM ----------
Look at all the people with bricked devices as a result of the upgrade. Plus you can't view the content of your phone on your PC not can you load any files to your your memory card.. My advice stay with lolipop til there is a solution to these issues. Just saying ...
---------- Post added at 05:38 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:19 AM ----------
Another question is that if Marshmallow is so good why are so many people installing it , not liking it and bricking their phones in an attempt to downgrade...? BTW I up graded my phone to 6.0 using the xt1069 Brazilian version with the TWRP recovery method and then downgraded back to 5.0.2 using the easy installer with not problems at all. It's only when I used the Indian soak test there my phone bricked whilst trying to downgrade.
@garyben60 Idk what you've done with your phone but I can browse my files just fine on my PC and my SD card is working too.

Good for you!!
Well it depends
Stock 6.0 is good, but when it comes to multitasking IMO it slows down . Also 6.0.1 has better improvements.
CM13(6.0.1)/Custom 6.0.1 is great, but the touch screen bug is a deal breaker for me. It messes up scrolling in Firefox, aiming in games is really really bad, and some games do not respond to touch at all.
Stock 5.0.2 is too slow for me, it's bad at multitasking
Custom 5.1.1 (on slimsaber ATM) is the android version/ROM that works best on me.
Don't take my opinion as final, test out the ROMs for yourself!

check the last page of the rom thread for my review. Make sure that once you complete setup wizard, go to settings>sound&notif>other sounds and disable screen locking sounds and touch sounds. Don't forget to do this immediately otherwise it may result in heavy AudioMix wakelock. I recommend highly CM12.1 decipher kernel with this ROM for battery.

I can't, you should read the comments, my bl unlock allowed: no.
There are basically two good LBL roms for Xperia SP: One running Android 4.4.2 and one running 5.0. The first one is just right - it doesn't hang up once per every hour, has no problem with switching from WiFi to mobile data and is basically perfect for a daily driver. Unlike te 5.0 one. Everything works and it's quite snap as well, but random hangups while trying to unlock the screen and problem with mobile data make it worse than 4.4.2 one.
4.4.2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2735841
5.0: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-sp/development/xperiasp-locked-bootloader-lbl-t2947194
BTW: At 5.0, mobile data start to work again after switching airplane mode on and off and I'm not sure whether the hangups could be caused by my overclocking settings (rather not).

Hey,
I still use my I9000 for overseas travel and have found the stable CM builds to be worthwhile. Even the nightly builds might be OK for your needs.

I still use my I9000 for overseas travel and have found the stable CM builds to be worthwhile. Even the nightly builds might be OK for your needs.

Thanks for your opinion.
Any specific CM version?
For example, for my HTC Pico, it is safe to say that cm9 is the fastest/stable of the cm versions.
I'm using cm-11-20141008-SNAPSHOT-M12.
There is newer updates on the cm web site, but I can't seem to download them at the moment.

Hope that helps

I'll have a quick look at flashing the Omni Marshmallow ROM to see if it's stable.

Seems like it might be workable. Unfortunately the gapps link doesn't seem to be working, but the basic ROM seems ok.
Amazing to think you can get this phone up to Marshmallow.
