welcome

Why isn't this working on my Z3+? I've tried multiple otg dongles and it never detects any of them. I've confirmed they all work and I used otg to backup my Z3 in order to easier move files to my Z3+. My Z2 and Lenovo android tablets both detect the OTG adapter just fine. Only my Z3+ won't detect it even after selected the above mentioned option.

mine too
Dont need UMS nor MTP nor PTP: Samba!
Having the same issue, my SGS3Mini (I8190) does not connect via UMS, so NO DRIVE LETTER in Total Commander on PC
Tried AirDroid-> too complicated.
Tried some WiFi File Transfer solutions-> too complicated.
Stumbled upon "com.funkyfresh.samba" Samba Filesharing for Android app.
Installed it.
Configured two shares, \sdcard and \share2.
Created PHONE.BAT on Win7 Desktop:
Code:
NET USE X \\ANDROID\sdcard
NET USE Y \\ANDROID\share2
Created DISCONNECT.BAT that deletes those DriveLetters.
Good to go
can you explain proper didnt understand anythign
That only works via WiFi, not with USB...

Need help with MTP and C5303 Driver!~

Hey guys,
Recently i purchased a chinese tablet called "Onda V811 Quad Core". i used that usb cable to charge and also access the PC to send files to tablet. It was too slow so i used my Xperia SP 5303 usb cable.
After that, i charged the tablet as well with the Xperia SP 5303 usb cable and adapter. It worked.
The problem: When i plugged my Xperia SP usb cable into my computer and connect it to my XSP 5303 phone, icould not install the drivers for some reason. I already installed all the drivers and could access the SD card on my PC before.
But now every time i plug in my XSP usb cable into my XSP, i cant install the drivers since it says it fails to instal BOTH MTP Driver, and Xperia SP 5303 Driver, making me cannot access SD Card. =(
Is it because of my chinese tablet that i plugged it once in it? or is it my phone?
I have tried everything, turned USB debugging on and everything but nothing works.... also tried to install ADB drivers... that didn't work as well....
I'm on Android 4.3.
It charges my phone, but can't install drivers which means i can't get to SD Card on computer.
Does that mean i can never get to my SD Card ever again?
Please help guys =( ~
Thank you!~
Go to your Xperia SP: Settings > Xperia > USB Connection > MTP and check PC companion installation on. If that doesnt work you can also try it with MSC mode.
If both options dont work you need to remove all the sony drivers installed (perhaps also from your tablet), reboot pc and try again.
ok thankyou, i will try that when i get home because i have school now. i will tell you the results later. thanks for replying.

Wow, thank you very much!,t hat did the work, now i just need to know how to get MTP drivers to install so i can access my internal memory card as well, so i can put /obb files in there for games .
Could you possibly help me out with that one as well?, that would be nice of you ^^
Reconnect your phone into MTP mode should do the trick (windows does recognise the drivers by itself and will install when missing)
I tried that and it just gives me the error that i can't install the driver etc.
error, can't install.
What error? Device gave problems or crashed?
The only error it gives me is that my driver (MTP) is unsuccessful in installing.
What os do you use?
Sent from my C5303 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I use windows 7 4-bit
Hmm weird very very weird. Could you check all the installed components in you PC (Start > My PC > Device managment)? And while you do so connect your phone in MSC...
Here you go, that's all the drivers i have for the USB drivers.
I attached below a picture.
The one with the Triangle icon int he picture is the one with the MTP where i can't install the driver. Thanks
Hi,
I am also trying to install the MTP driver for my Xperia SP C5303, but I can't locate it, even using Hardware ID string in device manager. Can someone please help. Thanks.

usb connection failed

i connect my device to the computer and it will be recognized (symbol in taskbar of windows 7, but in windows explorer and Total Commander it isn´t shown as drive.
A connectin via ftp plugin is possible, but copying .zips does not work (always 0 bytes shown on the device)
So i can´t use a connection to it. In recovery mode computer does not recognize the device (latest TWRP from Android-Andi and nova tested)
Latest windows usb drivers are installed.

Do you use a stock ROM or custom ROM?
Tried already with a other USB cable or USB port? Or on a other Computer?
If you use a custom ROM with Android 4.3 or above, you are able to switch between MTP and PTP in settings > storage, tap one time on menu button and you will see a USB option.
Alternative you can use WiFi direct to share/move/copy files between your phone and PC

Leeco usb transfer without os

Hey Guys,
I have been using my phone for the past 1 year. My Brother just Wiped Out My Mobile Phone completely though the twrp recovery. Now I am not able to transfer file from or through it. If I am able to do it. I can easily Transfer Rom File onto it and install it.
So Please Say A Way To Transfer File Into My Mobile Please which has no OS And is not being detected in my windows 10 PC.
You can use usb OTG from TWRP and change storage. Also if you connect your phone to PC with usb cable from recovery mode. Your phone shall be detected by your PC as MTP device. Also check if MTP is enable from TWRP.

You can try and tell
Just open twrp and connect your phone to your computer. It should automatically detect your device as MTP. Alternatively, use an OTG USB Drive and install rom from it.

Question File transfer to PC

Impossible for me now to transfer files from PC to P7. Whenever the content loads, the explorer windows shuts down. Very annoying.
Any fix ?

I had to use usb 3.0 port because 2.0 was giving me the exact same problem as you're facing.
Alternatively you can copy the files you want onto a usb stick and then connect it to your phone using the provided usb c adapter. I've done it few times and it works well.

Worked, thank you. Very strange.
Can you totally deny it is frozen because the transfer is taking time (ongoing) ?
I could imagine that it just waits for the task to be finished before accepting further commands.
I had this happen as well, I would select the MTP mode (file transfer/android auto or something) and it would disconnect from the computer. Switching to another USB-C cable fixed the issue
