Bricked att s5 active, flashed incorrect file - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 5

Current phone I am working with is a ATT samsung s5 active G870A. Unfortunately there is not many file I can find specifically for the active and I think this might be where my problem lies.
I am not even sure what file I have original flashed to screw it up but the only thing it will do is get stuck at the samsung screen. I can go into recovery and download mode, I have tried flash it using odin, adb sideload, wipe data and cash and reboot. I have tried countless files flashing to the phone to get something different going on. In odin everything ends up failing with AUTH problem. adb sideload always gets signature errors. I have tried about 40 different files. even trying files for other galaxy s5 models and no luck.
Please help! This isnt even my phone I was trying to root it for a friend!

bump! anyone help? plz!

Are you on lollipop or kitkat if on kitkat try muiz_ri method to root and he has the stock firmware there

hey since ya have an active , could you create me a scatterfile using sp flashtool? its a file like a pit file , its just got all the memory locations in its build like using the pit file in odin , it just doesnt have to be powered up in download mode. otherwise without it its still a brick lol. besides since your trying you might need it also.

I cant do this due to my G870A not being rooted yet. I had soft bricked it while trying to root it and didnt realize that I cant root a 5.1.1 yet. Is there a 5.1.1 firmware download I can get to flash it?

Stock Rom or Any

I was accidentlly on the wrong forum and tried to install a rom that is not working on the sprint device.
But like a impatient man i forgot to do a backup to my SD card.
Does anyone know where I can get the stock rom? RUU? or anything to get it back and running asap?
I know in the next week or so roms will be flooding in but for now no phone sucks

Awesome I tried mixing one of the system dumps with one of the images from other Carriers and It tries to boot for hours with no final boot.
I hope the Twrp backup works, and that would be good to know in the future.
The best would probably be to do a backup of your own stuff. then do a factory reset, then do a backup of the factory reset and then restore your data.

Sorry so far no luck. I tried Flashing it with TWRP and twirp asks me to root it. If I say No then it tries to boot but after a few seconds it reboots into recovery. Then when I try to reboot from recovery TWIRP asks me to root again and if I say yes then I get the HTC logo for 30 min and nothing happends.
I tried to flash it Through the bootloader by naming it 0P6BIMG.ZIP. and same result.
I currently have TWRP 2.7
Mine loads for a couple mins than it says "failed"
I have the same issue as OP, no final boot, just got the M8 tooo, darn
I also got a failed message on the install

This is most likely because in some AOSP roms like CM there could be that this menus are disabled.
You need to search for the setting somewhere else or you could try to download pimpmyrom here:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.androguide.pimpmyrom&hl=de
And then search for the function "enter device hidden menu". This should most likely work on all roms!
Good luck!

Okay here is a thing that will hopefully get you back to your phone
- put the battery out and connect the charger
- insert the battery back inside and wait a few seconds
- disconnect the charger
########################################################
- press the download mode combo
- you should hopefully enter download mode!!
- get the verizon stock firmware from sammobile (for that at least your phone hopefully works like before)
- flash it
Good luck
by the way, i recently heard that there is a app to force lte mode you should search the playstore

First, Id tie them to make sure i dont trip on the laces, then id download the tar.md5 file from sammobile.com and flash it via odin in DL mode. If youre familiar with that process, cool. cf-auto root problem

Sm-n910t T-mobile
(Update)
I ended up having to do a factory reset so it's working nice and smooth now. So the question is should I go about flashing a custom rom in Odin then using TWRP and as my custom recovery? Or just try it again or wait it out until more people have more success?
(EDIT) MY PHONE ISNT STUCK IN A BOOTLOOP BUT NOW ITS EXTREMLY SLOW.
I used this guide to root my phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/help/sm-n910-cf-auto-root-t2897428/page160 did I miss anything ? should a flash twp onto my phone? im a complete noob to this and I made the mistake of rooting my main phone first please help.
well I woke this morning to my phone stuck in a bootloop it started to act funny right as I had to go to sleep. I cleared the cache didn't work so I had to factory reset and it worked but said my phone was no longer rooted so I repeated the process and rerooted my phone but now its in in the bootloop again what should I do to fix this?
