Hi guys
i have one samsung mini s5 duos
serial-smg800h
firmware-g800hxxu1anl2
build number-kot49h.g800hxxu1anl2
is there anyway i can enable otg support am a beginner so expecting a good help from yours.
Custom kernel/ROM.
The reason otg is not enabled by default is because the port doesn't provide power to connected devices to make the device water proof without caps.

Thr original cable for Samsung Galaxy S i9000 (works) with a little interference (video noise). The galaxy s plus and galaxy s have a diferent 3.5mm, if you try a head phone don´t work nice (i have bouth phones) the HTC phones works in galaxy s plus. Post a claim in Sansung facebook page ( i do several times).
We buy a phone with tv-out function, but Samsung don´t have the right cable!!!

Hi,
I've read the post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1275999. The last message of post says that the Samsung ECC1TX1BBEGSTA cable works without modifying it. Is it correct? Even if Samsung does not declare that it is compatible with DS Plus.
So because I have tried the Samsung AATCX10CBECSTD cable and it does not work, probably the ECC1TX1BBEGSTA cable and the AATCX10CBECSTD cable are different?
Thanks
Hi ,
I wanted to use my galaxy s2 MicroUsb HDMI MHL adapter and OTG USB cable with Galaxy tab "7" with this 30 pin galaxy tab to micro USB adapter.
Any help regarding usb host and hdmi capabilities will be appreciated.
HDMI is supported via Samsung Media Dock. Could have googled for that. There is no listed USB OTG support listed for it, but there is a Keyboard for it, which could be indicative of UDB OTG support, at least of a proprietary nature. Both of these accessories require the standard charging cable to provide power during use.

I bought Mhl adapter because i was going to buy galaxy note. Then at the last moment i changed my mind and bought galaxy tab 7 t-mobile. My media dock as also arrived. But still waiting for 30 pin con to mic usb adapter and mini hdmi to hdmi adapter. I will let every body know if any thing is discovered.

As it stands, HDMI is available through the Dock as mentioned, but there is no USB OTG support. Keyboards can be connected to the 30-pin (Samsung keyboard) or through Bluetooth (third-party keyboards).
There was a project to get USB Host support going, but it seems to have stopped. You can try the OTG gear since there are many variants of Tab and many ROMs etc, but I don't think you'll get anywhere with them since the stock software doesn't seem to support anything apart from the Samsung official accessories.
I am working on getting USB OTG working, but it wont happen anytime soon.
You cant just plug in anything that fits and expect it to work. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 30-pin to USB and 30-pin to SD are for that device.
so in conclusion, it never work?
I was thinking of using OTG + USB to RCA cable rather than HDMI...
I am using GT 7.0 plus
see if someone can answer?
is the OTG P1000 USB working on the plus model?
thks!

Is your printer on a network? or does it have any wireless connection (wifi, bluetooth etc..)?
Samsung has pretty decent wireless printing software built in

Ahh dang. Sorry man, I don't have experience with the OTG cable. Good luck though! Sorry I couldn't help
Use Google cloud Print to print to the printer.
USB otg standards have changed over the years. Could it be the cable being older? Can it detect a USB flash drive? Because my s6 detects flash drives no problem. I can test my printer though.

Can you also please tell me Whats the Max Usb Flash Drive we can use till with OTG wire
Will the S6 Edge read the 128gb or can we go higher till 256 also ?
I saw this OTG Which says 480Mbps FULL SPEED Operation to shorten Data Transfer Time
Adapter with Smart Chip built-in for Data Production and with EMI/RFI Interference Cancellation when data being transferred between Smart Phone/Tablet and USB Device in high speed operation.
Is this GOOD or can you suggest me a better which will help transfer in faster speed
or is it better to get from Samsung
does not have much info of speed
Thank you
hi guys
my s6 edge detects but I can't see usbdrive in my files and es file manager.
Did the 5.1.1 android update?
Is it possible to port sammy's DeX to our note5 via a s8 port just like the devs accomplished AOD??
Anyone??
......
I think it should be possible
Try with a S8 port and installing the DeX launcher. I don't think it will work because the Note5 doesn't have a video output through the micro USB port.
