I tried to flash Rodriguez MIUI rom, doing all wipe stuffs. My N1 froze at the colourfull X screen. My power button doesn't work, so I cannot enter the recovery screen.
What should I do?
If your bootloader is unlocked you can boot to recovery via fastboot.
If your bootloader isn't unlocked, do the passimg trick...

You got a TWRP backup if so just Restore it. Are u able to enter fastboot mode ? If u can just try downloading stock KitKat firmware by googling it and filled by command
fastboot flashall .
Forgot to add u can shut it phone down by pressing the power button for about 15 secongs and then entering fastboot.
Source: Experience once I was such with a completely messed up ROM with no touch at all lol, and then I downloaded stock firmware by searching within XDA and flashed it.
Just press power + Vol down button and hold them till the screen goes off.. As soon as the screen goes off release them both.. Then after like 1-2 secs press them both again (power+vol down) and hold it for 5-8 secs.. Release them.. You'll be in your bootloader then.. From there you can install stock rom
Sent from my XT1068 running stock Kitkat with GravityBox

Buddy its just a soft brick ...!! You can go to recovery if you do everything correctly
Follow these steps..!!
1. Turn off your phone by press and holding power button until you see you device is turned off
2. Or at the boot animation also you can go to recovery by press and holding power and vol down until you see black screen and wait 4 sec after you see black screen and release the buttons the you Will go to fastboot mode and hit recovery in fastboot and wipe data and still if you u get boot loop go to fastboot, and flash stock lollipop And then flash any cm 12.1 based ROM you won't get any kinda problems now ...!!!! ?
Hey,
I've been reading along in the XDA forums for quiet some time now, and have found very useful information on multiple occasions. A general thanks! for that.
Right now I am trying to gain access to a Moto X 2013 (XT1052) with a broken/black screen. The phone is rooted and has a custom recovery installed. Unfortunately USB-debugging was disabled.
I am trying to gain adb-access in recovery in order to try and activate debugging as shown here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335799
The problem is, I can't get the Phone into recovery mode. fastboot boot recovery.img is disabled on the moto x.
When I'm in fastboot mode and press Vol-Down the phone immediately performs a normal reboot. On a non-broken Moto X Vol-Down and then Vol-Up should bring the phone in recovery.
Can anybody explain this behavior? Is there another way to access recovery?
Thanks in advance!
Lukas
My moto G 2014 is running a Nightly build of CM13
I accidently flash the stock kernel.
and ended up with that result,
can I think I soft bricked my device. I can get into the fast boot though it doesn't seem to help much.
when I press the power button the screen turns black and then turn on by itself once again.
Please help me with this issue, thanks in advance.
