Official Samsung Galaxy Note 3 S-View Wireless Charging Cover (Where to buy?))

So I have seen all the posts for the cases but can't seem to find anywhere in the US that has any info on when they will be available. I know last year when I got my N2 the folio cases were available in the store that day. I called a few ATT stores and all they have is the incipio case that doesn't offer wireless charging. Does anyone have any info on these Samsung brand cases?
This site shows them "due in 2-3 weeks" http://www.mobilefun.com/40790-offi...-3-s-view-wireless-charging-cover---black.htm
No luck my friend I can't find it either. I don't think I've seen such a premature phone release when it comes to accessories for this phone.

Yeah I'm really disappointed with the lack of accessories! I don't want to buy a regular case and then turn around and purchase a wireless charging case 2-3 weeks later.... Ended up selling my AT&T Note 3 in favor of the T-mo n900t, already running a custom rom and on att lte
I'm sorta miffed, too. I think they want to see how the phone will do before they start churning out accessories. I can't figure out why they don't add features without changing the form factor, at least as far as legacy compatibility is concerned.
I ordered a $4 TPU case and a Skinomi (wet application) screen protector. I like to have a cheap (or just durable) backup case option for camping, and for the possibility of getting a new device under insurance because of theft or total destruction. But still, this is a lot of weeks to be waiting for a feature included on their previous release. And for the time being: this (as of 10 Oct, 2013) http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Qi-Wireless-charging-Receiver-Charger-Adapter-For-Samsung-Galaxy-Note-3-III-/321228364804?pt=US_Cell_Phone_PDA_Chargers&hash=item4acab3dc04
tell me about it, im waiting for the protective cover+
I ordered wireless charging kit here (presumably shipped, but I didn't get it yet):

Also, I saw S-view flip covers at BestBuy in Toronto. They look very nice...

only much easier without having to tap into the USB port. I got two for my "old" S3 for about US$12 each. If my measurements are right, I'm just going to snip the space between the two contacts and stick it in sideways on the Note3 battery, slightly too high, but not enough to let the coils be too off. I usually don't post my hacks, but if this one works and does it before anything gets released, or if everything released is still as expensive as it is now, I might.

So, really essentially, inductive charging is spinning magnets hopping up a copper coil so much it sends the extra energy into the battery as an electrical charge (I imagine with some other metals it might've been heat). Hopefully the coil doesn't have to be too precisely placed to get enough charge.
I'm seriously thinking about investing in Neodymium mining.
I aslo went to the Tmo store today. It's a little one. They had one S-View cover without inductive charging for US$60. The guy, who had one (no Qi) on his new Note3, indicated on a spreadsheet on the "register" screen that the inductive charging ones will be $70 only at the Sammy (Tmo has dedicated Samsung centers)) stores, and I only saw black (BLK).
I really want to see what color the "red" one is. I saw it listed as "pink" somewhere, but I imagine they might have had it mixed up with the light pink (more of a dirt-magnet than the white IMHO) because a lot of the photos of them look rather pinkish or maroonish. I've seen a couple of shots of branded flip covers that look really (really) red, some that look almost brick, and of course a bunch I might call magenta only because I think it's a word to describe a color without another descriptor (that Tmo borrowed because actually calling it what it is, Hot Pink, completely alienates about 50% of its clientele).
Anyone see any color out there?

The email that I got saying that they were delayed said they'll get them 10/24 (oct), hopefully there won't be any further issues!
wondering whether to cancel mobilefun order as they have again postponed delivery saying stocks coming 31st oct. 2nd time they have postponed the dates. looks like they are taking the piss, stating earlier dates to get more orders when all websites dont have any confirmed date.
So please excuse my ignorance here, but could I just buy one of those inductive charge stickers made for the note 3 and use that with any back plate? Just get any Qi charger for it to work with? Thanks all. New to the whole inductive charger thing.

yes you could but the s view functions wouldnt work with the 2 pin receivers and i dont know if it will even work with the 3 pin receivers.
please note that the n3 has 3 ins at the back near the wireless charging and 2 for nfc but of the 3 pins only top 2 are for wireless charging and the third is for s view functions colour changing of screen etc as far as my info goes.
will let you know in a few days as i have orders pending delivery for official and generic types and will test them out with several of my wireless chargers. my orders have been delayed 2-3 times already and dont know when they will come as have placed them a while back. it doesnt seem to be in stock anywhere.
You are correct.
You are correct i got one of the stickers and a wireless charger and have the regular s-view case and the case no longer works, im wondering if i can somehow solder the contacts togeter without messing it up but for 11 bucks the wireless charging does work pretty well. Through the galaxy charge app im getting around 650 not the 1800 i would get from the 3.0. However i dont have to worry about plugging it in or messing up my port now. will keep you informed.

So the foil trick did not work, or at least i could not get it to work as the foil yanked off one of the contacts on the charger. It looks like the sview uses the bottom two and the charger uses the top two. I sometimes wish i never watched macgyver as a kid. But it still works just no sview functions but i really didnt use it much anyways as you are stuck with stock samsung music apps.

[Q] Note 3 problems

First of all this is my first post on this site after using it for 2 years to root and mod many phones. The att note 3 has just been grinding my gears. I owned the note 2 and loved it.
My problems are these:
Reception is horrible. Wife sits next to me and gets more bars and is on lte more often than me.
Phone constantly glitches on the web/chrome even apps.
I hate how the browser address bar stays in screen when I read a lot like these forums.
Phone is past warranty so some help rooting this phone with out a computer would be of major help.
I would love to play the sim city game that runs on 10.1 I just need help identifying where to get a proper build for this phone without all the extra garbage att packs on the phone.
Does anyone know what the 5 pins are for under the battery cover?
And what rom could I put on the phone that would keep it stuck in landscape?

Congratulations on your first post! Sorry your gears are getting grinded. Lets see if we can solve some problems.
First you complain about reception. Do you have any kind of case on the phone? This can cause signal issues. If not you might have a hardware or software issue. You can try a factory data reset to see if it's software. If problem still persists swap it out at the store if it's under warranty still. If not you can send to Samsung for repairs.
You also complain about glitching. Can you explain a little more please? I don't see how web pages glitch. Do they load slow or something??
Thirdly just disable the brower bar in application settings.
The 4th question rooting without a computer. That's not going to happen anytime soon. You must use a pc to root at this time. Sorry! I recommend kingo to root.
For sim city help me out a little. Is there a specific version? Did you try looking in the playstore? Not all of us know what sim city on 10.1 is. I'm assuming you mean cyanagenmod 10.1 but that still isn't enough info.
The 5 pins on the back are device extensions. The 3 that go top to bottom are for wireless charging. The other 2 that go left to right I'm uncertain. I think they are NFC contacts. When using a wireless charging system it can interfere with our nfc batteries. Therefore the nfc needs to be moved into the case. The s view wireless charging case utilizes all 5 of these contacts.
To get your phone stuck in landscape mode, just install a new home launcher. You don't even need to be rooted. For example I love apex home and under behavior settings you can select the default orientation.
my note 3 is ever in boot loop no modding. do i a total wipe and reflash with odin ?
Thanks lol didnt realize how vague my post was.
Past warranty, no case, and reset x5.
Chrome and the regular web browser hangs on a blank screen or the last page it was on. Only the browsers do this. The 4g will be working fine then all of a sudden it hangs. Ive read some forums where people are getting far lower reception where they used to get great reception.
Disabled browser bar within a minute of purchasing phone.
From what i have read only users with android 10.1 can view the simcity in playstore. If you find the playstore link with google it will take you to correct page but gives you the incompatabily error. If there was a way to fool playstore in what device i am that would be awesome.
So what were the note 2 pins for??? I could have sworn they were wifi. The wifi would always loose signal when the cover was removed.
I will try out apex right now ultimate rotation control left my phone a mess even after uninstalling and rebooting

What S6 do you have?

I just wanted to throw a poll up quick to get a estimate on what versions of the S6 you guys are using! I am switching to AT&T from the big red and just bought an Active on Swappa. More or less I'm curious about how many actives are out there lol.
I have an S6 and an S6 Active. Got the Active last Saturday and am seriously impressed. Tried to get one off of Swappa but they were selling so fast. Found a sealed one on Craigslist and got n it for 550. Really happy with it so far. Battery life is superb!
Went 19 hours and 5:15 SOT this week and still had 33% left before I passed out lol!

I hope you double checked that IMEI and made Sure it's not financed. I'm going through hell trying to get my money back through eBay because I didn't know it was financed until I tried to sell on swappa. But anyway...
I have the s6 edge (returning hopefully) and just picked up the active. I absolutely love the active. Not as pretty as the edge but makes more sense with my job.
Yes, I asked that and put that on the bill of sale that it was free and clear of the Next plan. It was a 2 year upgrade. Already unlocked it. The seller did not hesitate and gave me the IMEI number ahead of time to run it with ATT, Etc.
Sent from my S6 Active!
So far the results are surprising me, I didn't expect so many people to have the Active. That deffinitely gives me hope that some developers will pick up this device. I can't wait to debloat and modify this thing! How does rooting affect the price on Swappa?
I actually have a 32gb s6 which I use on straight talk....kinda wish I bought the unlocked version since I can't get ota's I don't think. It's blocked on smart sense or something? Was hoping to leave my rooting days behind me but I guess that's my only option.

Just picked up the S6 active a few days ago. I have 2 weeks to return it if not satisfied. 19 hours with 4 hours screen on and still at 40%! Beautiful screen, phenomenal camera, responsive and smooth. Even the ruggedness looks and feels good after using it for a few days Ummm...it's not going back!
I had a Verizon S6 for a month and a half or so.
I just switched to AT&T because of signal issues at my house with Verizon. I picked up the Active and OMG. What an exponentially better device from a usability standpoint. Sure, it's not as pretty as the S6, but then again the S6 is so fragile I had to put it in a case, so it was covered up any way. I actually kinda like the rugged look of the active.
With the S6 I was constantly worrying about the battery. Disabling this, removing that, installing a custom ROM, etc. I'm running the Active with just a few annoying AT&T apps disabled and Nova Launcher. I've been unplugged 6 hours and am at 86%. With 36 hours estimated remaining.
Not having to constantly worry about running out of juice is worth the switch for me.
Got the Active yesterday and so far I couldn't be happier! I went to the store still doubting between the S6 and the Active, on paper I liked the Active features but on the pictures and videos I had seen it seemed really ugly. Once in the store, however, I realized it actually looked much better in real life than I anticipated. At that moment my doubts went away instantly
I ended up with the blue camo one, again, it seemed pretty ugly on pictures/videos, but it's actually much softer than I thought, I think it looks great! The front and side of its case are black anyways so they're really not that different (not as much as I thought they would be).
BTW, about the waterproof feature, I haven't tested it yet (I'm kinda scared lol), does anyone have any advice on how to deal with that. Like if you put it under water, is it better to just let it dry on its own or to actively try to dry it (i.e. blow dryer)? Also, I read somewhere that it isn't recommended to take it into sea water, is that true?

I took some underwater pics with mine this past weekend. Definitely no sea water.
I just blew into the charging port (like you use to have to do with Nintendo games. Most people on here are probably too young for that... LOL.)
Then just let it dry normally. I read somewhere it's recommended not to plug it in for an hour or two after getting it wet.

Thanks for the advice!! Yep I was around for Nintendo cartridges, when games used to work out of the box... good times LOL
Got the regular S6. I really wished Samsung kept the IP certification from the S5. If Sony can do it in their Xperia line, Samsung could have surely done that with the S6. Would have totally been awesome if you could take pics underwater with a phone. Though, to be honest, I feel like all phones should have some kind of IP certification, since so many people have dealt with it.
My S3 got waterlogged and miraculously, it survived and still works fine. Ended up selling it to one of my friends (who was aware I had dropped it in water and the charging port was slightly finicky, though I feel it was like that before it happened, but they still wanted to buy it off me) when I upgraded to the S6.
But, that's definitely not always the case and sometimes your phone completely craps out. It's literally luck of the draw for sure. I honestly don't like look of the S6 Active, but I do wish the regular S6 had a larger battery. Sure, I personally can get through the day on a single charge, I won't say no to a larger battery, if had the option to.
I wonder if there'll ever be a day where you can have the best of both worlds -- huge battery in a tiny package. Guess we'll see what the future holds indeed.
Got the regular s6 since Edge didn't have temper glass screen protectors

My S6 Edge crapped out on me.. What phone should i get next?

My s6 edge is basically useless. LED light is blinking as if i have a message but the screen wont turn on. VOL DOWN+POWER does nothing. USELESS and poorly designed. There have been times when my phone got hot and started freezing and VOL DOWN+POWER was my best bet. I would wonder "what if this doesnt work? what if the phone doesnt even reset? i cant pull the battery with this phone it would be useless if this reset method doesnt work." Well my worse fear has been confirmed today. This dumb phone wont even reset. Light just keeps blinking to taunt me that i have a message i cant check. So now Verizon will be sending me a replacement. Since I paid full price for the phone, Im going to take that brand new replacement phone and just sell it because Im pissed that I paid 700 dollars for a device from Samsung - a pretty major mobile device competitor- who didnt even think this stupid reset method through. What phone should I get as a replaceement? Should i stay away from the S7 and go toward a nexus? Im definitely not going iphone route... your suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
my s6 egde is also starting to crap out..does not want to charge at times and gets super hot..but if i was going to switch it would be either lg g5 or nexus 5x. would be on my list.
I had massive problems between two different devices and Marshmallow made them go away, such as not being able to pull the Edge drawer, at times. Also the frequent freezing was Lollipop as well. If you still have the device, give the update a try.
LG G5!

Unlucky guys
Mine never gets hot maybe its something you guys were doing or a charger you bought or something. Could have been something internally wasnt bonded property. Too bad these phones are so hard to take apart. Such a nice phone I'd like to open it up like I did my iphone and put themal grease all over the hot parts and bond it to the case as a heatsink. I've seen some teardown videos of the s6 and a high percentage were not successful.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jp4CPjZJuGw This video makes it look ez. You might be able to fix it from broken parts you find off a broken phone on ebay but its probably either the battery or the motherboard that is overheating/broken. Its harder to swap a motherboard especially if its locked or blacklisted. If its another component tho you could probably do the fix yourself.

Galaxy S6 AT&T 64GB Dies instantly, Deepsleep or hardware problem?

Hay guys,
Edited: on 07/07/2016: Problems First; My AT&T Galaxy S6, reboots randomly, dies instantly and some times freezes, doesn't matter what app i am on. The full story is here if interested, please read below;
I bought a used AT&T Galaxy S 6, 64 GB Black sapphire, Now running 6.0.1 (i sideloaded it) and it has a problem which you guys call it deep sleep problem (I call it, dying phone with no reason) when i bought it, it was running 5.1.1 then (probably BOJ7), and the second day i noticed that it was dead, (i remember i was taking some selfies, pictures, i locked it and after more or less 15 or 20 minutes i wanted to take some more pics, i saw it was not waking up). And to my surprise, I have checked it, when i call the number which is in that phone, the call goes and i can listen on my other phone that the bill is ringing but actually my device doesn't ring at all (while dead) (I have also seen once that the notification LED was blinking Blue, yet the phone was off, itself)
So, story short when i saw the device was unexpectedly off i tried to switch it on by the following methods;
i pressed all the button many times but it didn't respond until, i pressed and kept holding recovery boot combination i.e. volume down + volume up + Power buttons and it booted.
Later on it was good, after two days, it did it again.
Now my concern was rising about Galaxy S6's sudden deaths, (I still don't know whether i should call it a deep sleep and awake problem or it is something related to hardware) so, i thought lets find a way and upgrade it to MM. I searched the xda and found this
Updating to Android 6.0.1 G920AUCU3CPD6 Step by Step {http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s6/general/updating-to-android-6-0-1-g920aucu3cpd6-t3371884}
I upgraded my phone and thought it's fine now, but to my surprise, the phone went off while it was in my pocket with almost 70% battery charged. I was shocked, yet started it with the buttons combo, and yesterday when i left it charging while the battery was about 87% charged, I thought let it go to 100% but when i picked it up after 15 minutes and pushed the home button to see the status the phone was dead again with a RED LED light on while the screen was off, when i pressed the home OR power button the screen showed a big green battery with 100 % Charge (which was indicating as i powered it off and kept charging)
Now my question is that " What the hell is going on?"
If it was a rooting problem? Then, I did an odin flash of BOJ7 with all four files AP, CP, CSC and his child. which should have removed the rooting, and to confirm it whether my device is rooted or the KNOX tripped or not, i have checked the knox it is 00000 which means the KNOX is not tripped.
Please help me guys, this was my dream phone, i can't buy a new one with warranty, and i can't loose it or live it with this problem, my days suck.
please help me,
And today I've seen a new thing may be it's the real problem but I really got it today. I was surfing the net and twitter my AT&T Galaxy S6 suddenly went off and I had to force start it.
Hay guys, i need your help, am i missing you all?
Hay guys, Talvigi back,
As far as no body is interested in my post and may be no one has faced such problem before, so, i am back with some updated information;
Day before Last night, I was very much worried about my phone's behaviour, even i was thinking to show it's way out. But when i was a bit asleep yet awaken i thought way not try to factory reset the device from recovery, formate system devlock and cache partitions?
And i did it while i was half asleep and let the device update it's builtin softwares and WOLLA, it's second day my beloved AT&T specific Galaxy S6 hadn't misbehaved yet, (till now, may be it will make me lying just now)
Edit: (Third Day):
Third Day guys its third day and still my phone has not misbehaved after the above mentioned factory reset, and i hope this will continue to work like that.
Edit: Fifth day:
Sorry Sammy boy but you are a sucking OEM, after two good days my AT&T Galaxy S6 is again misbehaving with me, it again deep slept, just after seconds when i was surfing the facebook and i got lock my device for some seconds. As soon as i wanted to unlock it again i saw that the device was once again not waking up hence i had to push both volume and power buttons to start it.
And it did the same thing while it was kept on my table for a couple of hours.
It's now making me crazy to sell it again and go for a galaxy S5, it least i haven't seen this problem, i actually haven't listened this kinda problem in them from any where.
Edit; Now after a lot of days of sudden deaths and instant restarts, it has started to freeze now, I have not seen this before. I mean when I am using facebook it freezes but doesn't restart as far as I have seen it twice with freeze problem. Now I can say that it is indeed a software problem may be we can suggest it to be a kernel related problem.
So is it because I might have used a 32 GB specific ROM on a 64 GB device?
Is there a real difference between 64 GB and 32 GB ROM.
Hell with the AT&T Galaxy S6.

Sorry man, @hyelton: but you are the great hero for me,
You have been so much helpful to me as well as to many others i have seen,
And to tell the truth, i didn't tag you to help me specifically on this problem,
but i knew you will be the only one to notice me in this crap.
And i believe you have read my problem and have at least thought once, about my situation, haven't you?
And i also know you can off course guide me, or lead me a way through.
Please don't be rude, i beg your kind honour to please suggest me a way out there, any way out! :crying::fingers-crossed::crying::fingers-crossed:
Because there are many people in this forum but you can see no one, no one even noticed my problem.
Hello, I was tagged in your threads and received the notification while I was sleeping. First of all my Galaxy S6 was bought by me on May 6 2015 at an Official AT&T Store, the same Store were, nine years ago, I open a contract account for mobile service. Before Android phones I was a Blackberry user. Never root a phone, never side loaded a Google Platform Upgrade, never bought a used phone. The only time I bought a phone outside an Official AT&T Store was when I bought a brand NEW Google Nexus 5 at Amazon and God knows that my former Nexus 5 was the best phone I ever owned. I always owned the top of the line Blackberry, the Bold series. And all my formers Android phones bought at AT&T were Flagships phones at the moment I bought them. OK now, I read all your threads and when you applied a Factory Data Reset you do, in my humble opinion, the right thing . Unfortunately the problem at your phone is beyond a Factory Data Reset. My advise is that you must go to an AT&T Official Store and ask for a new Nano Sim Card. If that's not work go to an Official Samsung Repair Store or Center. If that's not work, then my friend, take out the Nano Sim Card of your Galaxy S6 and bought a NEW Google Nexus 6p directly from Google or Amazon and push the Nano Sim Card in. You are going to have peace on earth running a Google Nexus phone at AT&T. Remember my fried, NEVER AGAIN buy an used phone and by the way don't side loaded Google Platform Upgrade. Just wait for the OTA regarding Platform Upgrade. I'm really sorry for the bad experience with your Galaxy S6.

Thank You sir for such a detailed reply, my bad luck with S6 is that I love it so much but when it comes to your life you will better lose your eyes. I think I will somehow sell it back and will not buy any second hand phone again.

My friend please don't lose your eye and work hard so you can buy a brand new Samsung Flagship, Galaxy S7 or a Note 6. Don't forget, far beyond the Manufacturers Flagships, far beyond your worst nightmare is the Google Nexus Phone .

Well thanks for the suggestion but do you know, I will have to work 8 hours a day for five month and save 50% of that earnings, if I want to buy a brand new Galaxy S7, and for you my dear, that would be not more then 15 days half earning or 8 days full. So, to buy a flagship, in my dreams! Yet I will try to manage on a Huawei X5 or oppo F1

My dear friend at 16 years old I left my parents house and work hard and studied hard. Now I'm 60 years old and still work hard. That's the way life goes, don't fight it. You are a good person , work hard and enjoy your life and all the Android phones you are going to have.

Somebody, help me, please. My system is really unsustainable and doesn't tell me when to stop working and when to restart.

Well, guys i somehow have been able to maintain my device to keep away from all those misbehavings which it had to do all the time. But i don't want to exaggeratedly lie that they are gone now, they are here, and they also sometimes show there faces but rarely, very rarely indeed. It all could happen after a couple of factory resets and keeping the device away from auto updates mostly from googleplaystore.
Well I have ODIN back and now i'm back on 5.1.1 BOJ7. And surprisingly the reboots are still here, I think, will have to kill my wish of being on Galaxy S6 for some more months and I will have to go back to the market and buy a LG G4 or Galaxy S5 may be?
People say their experience with Marshmallow has not been good but i would mine was the worst with S 6.
I think this device has a factory fault, but as far as i have bought it in used condition and the device is an AT&T device, that too out of the US, so samsung would surely won't help me, neither i have any warranty here.
I hat you Samsung/AT&T for making such a piece of crap.
Any body in this world has the same kind of problem with the Galaxy S6 AT&T 64 GB, or I am alone?
