[Q] Bad camera in firmware 4.4.4

Hello guys, I updated my Xperia Z's firmware from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4 (292) a week ago. I really like the update, its much smoother, but I noticed that the camera is really poor even in the outdoor with less light exposure (its fine with good light exposure). I see theres too much color noise, it destroys every photos. And the indoor is much worse, moreover if i use the front camera. I used to very love taking pictures with my lovely XZ, but never save any with 4.4.4 camera . 4.4.4 camera is unlike the camera in the 4.4.2 with much lesser noise and unnoticeably color noise at all. I took random pictures and loved it so much. I wanna know if I could replace the 4.4.4 camera software with the 4.4.2 ones. Could it be by Flashing the 4.4.2 camera software/system to my 4.4.4 firmware or something? and how? Please help. Thank you so much developers..

Im sure 100% that the camera is different dude , i have tried to take photos with the 4.4.4 cameras, front and rear one, and the saved it to my pc, then I reflashed it back to 4.4.2 and took pics using both camera too. Then I compared it. Its clear that the 4.4.4 brings more color noise. so now I'm using 4.4.2.

Not a issue with the indian version of firmware... Search the Indian genric ftf and flash it....and u will not be disappointed dude....

Camera Port

I think its not possible to port the kitkat camera to lollipop for capturing 5mp images in 16:9 ratio..but is it possible to port the camera to cm11 please cm11 having 4.9p cam like lollipop please someone help me

But there is no issue in the quality of pics taken. And by the way, you cant do professional photography with it, I know that you already know I'm talking about. That being said, the pics taken from my Sparkle V are just as good what it would take on the Kitkat version. ................................... ................................... (NO OFFENCE)

its not app specific problem, its related to kernel max 4.9mp resolution is defined in camera driver specific source files .

brother flash the kitkat rom. The camera is very good than the lollipop. And there is no bluish of the white paper pictures.

Did you use any third party app from playstore ??

Hello guys,
I´m in search of a bug-free camera app, which gives good results.
Personally I think it´s shame what kind of softwar sony has released to the whole z series, taking into consideration the "soft-skin" bug is still present, no matter which Android Version or App we choose.
So that´s the reason I been searching for a camera app/mod, which allows me to take pictures that are matching the capabilities of this phone as described.
So far I tried these mods:
Cyberian Camera 6.0 - Fisheye Bug, makes it unusable for me
ZR-Cam: Not working with Z3 Lollipop 5.1.1.
Z5 Mod and Libs
None of them been bugfree or gave good quality results.
So I ask the community kindly:
Is there one app for Lollipop preferably, which gives good results and is bugfree?

Have you tried stock KK camera? I was on 4.4 just because of the amazing camer shots it could offer! BUT i flashed 6.0.1 and installed Cyberian(the one you tried too) and I'm still on it ( i haven't faced the Fisheye bug).
You should backup your phone and give stock 4.4 camera app a try!

Well, the fisheye bug only appears on Lollipop IV cyberian. You think there´s a KK ported camera App for Lollipop? I don´t think so tbh

I wish there was such a port.... My bad. What I actually meant was install 4.4 ftf... Best stock camera you'll get...( 10 times better than LP stock and MM stock,specially on video recording! )

Marshmellow Camera blurry

Hello today i move to marshmallow in my motorolla turbo i feel the front camera is not that good as it was in lollypop i feel blurry and some dotted too like pixles are not that strong as it were earlier and another thing i see that color are not much sharp like it was earlier is there anyone who also face this problem , and i had kitkat earlier it has better color and camera result then lollypop, but lollypop even better then this marshmellow . can any one help me what should i do ? or should i go back to downgrade to kitkat.

Flash a new camera or use CameraFXZoom which can re-create a form of OIS

You can try the Moto G5 Nougat camera which was ported for us.

camera quality

I'm looking at this phone but I'm wondering just how the camera is. Perferably with the Google camera apk. Anyone have some samples with stock or gcam?

Let's just say the camera is not the strongest feature of the phone. I come from a p7 expecting to have the same quality but actually it's worst. Hopefully it's only a software problem

Im facing dust inside my rgb sensor camera and found that many have complained in lenovo forum that they are also facing same issue. Is anyone else facing the same please check both lenses by applying flash light at an angle in a dark room. If you are not having this issue then are you using any case for your phone or any type of cover.

Camera is not that much good. It's average. Using custom roms makes the camera even more pathetic. That's the reason why why I'm still on stock rom. Hope its only software issue.
