First of all, sorry for my english, i'm a poor french guy who just wants to learn about theme creator
I like the multitude of theme propose by sony and other developpers but now, i want to create mine. After a few ressearch on GOOGLE, i download, theme creator from sony, and try to change some color, icons etc.
So far so good, but i want to go further, and now i have some questions for you !
First : If you put the "xperia" theme proposed by Sony, you can see that the colour of the background change when you scrool on the homescreeen, lock, unlock your phone. How did they do ?!
Second : When the color background change, i also want to change the colour of the swipe to write when i write !
Third : When the color background change, i also want to change the global colour of any apps, for example if my homescreen is green, i want the color of the dialer green too, if i put red, i want it red etc etc.
Is that possible with theme creator ?

after following this Forum for quite a while and getting tons of helpful Infos, i need your help now.
I have installed a Custom Rom on my X1.
After 2 Days of tweaking Themes, Screens etc., there is one Problem left and i really want to get rid of this(!!) :
In the lower right corner of the Display (in Homescreen,Lockscreen etc. ...),
i always get a small text of the Rom-Version Info.
Is it possible to remove this text or change the color?
The text is colored white or bright grey.
Found nothing in *.cpr files.
Perhaps in Registry?
Changing Color of Wallpaper is no solution, cause i'm using black or dark Images
Hope u can help me!

Try to look at:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Device Beta]
"Today"= --> delete the value if exist.

Hi All,
I have been looking for the past weeks for the following.
Nobody really replied but Vukandric, who is really busy.
Even on the Miui dev board no answer.
And I cant imagined this has not been asked before.
I am running the black (or dark as it is called) theme for MIUI.
Great, but for me 2 apps which are involving daily activities are still white.
The email-app en the calendar-app (not widget) are still white.
The calendar is white backgroud with black text, even worse, email is white back with lightgrey text.
I would like to get both apps in black background with white text.
Is this impossible? I have not seen a theme yet with this layout.
Or doesn't anybody want this.
I sure could use dome help in achieving this. What files do I need to change and where can these files be found.

depending on whether the backgrounds are images or .xml values(?), you'd have to open up the .apk for the relevant program, find the images you wish to modify, modify them, and add them to the relevant theme.
The text however can be modified with a themes_value.xml in the relevant theme, but I know /little/ in regards to what wording is required, other than the colour being specified as #FFFFFFFF.
Hello, im trying to make my own theme for xperia devices (android 4.4) and i want to make it dark/black, now im kinda stuck with my theme because i dont know how to change font color of texts in message app, settings, contacts, alarm, and basically all system apps that can be affected by theme. I have changed most of backgrounds and now this bothers me so much, i have wanted to make theme as i would like to use but its not really that much usable if i dont change font color, i appreciate any help.
Im sorry if this is not right place to post question, if its against the rules report to admins so they can move it to other forum.
Please tell me which device you have and I will move it for you to the correct forum

Check all xmls in res folders and you'll see font color.
Set those lines to white HEX codes colors.
When we are talking about system fonts, or font color in settings you will have to edit few files more.
It's to big thing to say in one post but try to search a bit and you'll find tutorials.
Try to search for editing smali, font color in settings and android theming

Yes, that gives one a headache.
You need to edit the overlay XMLs for a lot of themed APKs, the color.xml.
It's a bit of a detective work and trial and error.
One thing that will make your head explode is the fact that "semc_text_color_primary" in com.sonyericsson.uxp also sets the color for search and edit text boxes. I have managed to controle the color of search boxes by making overlay XMLs for some layout-XMLs and styles for framework-res, but the edit-text boxes still folows "semc_text_color_primary".
I will go into detalis when i get the time in a new thread. I will post a theme you can use as base when time is in my favour.

I was busy last few days, sorry for a late reply.
I agree with you, it is really messed up to use one color for every system text, if i set white (since most background graphics are black) then i cant see anything on dialer because of white background. I have made another test theme with blue/white/gray details and its simple to use blue text in any app, but since there is a lot of people who would like to enjoy black theme (unfortunately Xperia E1 have non aosp roms) its too bad that making a useful black theme could be that hard.
Im waiting for your new thread, in meantime i will try to find a solution.

Does anyone know of a good guide that shows you how to create a theme for a galaxy s6?
I am wanting to make a theme that uses the standard icons, but has some darker colours in the sms/phone app.
I dont like the theme store AMOLED friendly / black themes because they dont have enough colour and we loose the defaut iconset.
Basically if i can take the standard theme and modify a few things I'd be happy
Whenever I try to search for answers, all i seem to be able to find is references to some elusive and unobtainable theme creation tool that samsung was ment to release back in April.
I am just after the tool or a guide right now, i dont want to add my themes to the samsung theme store.

It is a super basic editor that just allows you to add wallpapers and icons - it wont let you change the background and coloring of the sms and phone apps.
For many months i try to find a theme that will have the following:
1) Total black backgrounds ( not greyblack)
2) Blue-Dark Blue bars ( the bar in the setting for example - not light blue )
3) The default google icons
The themes that i use are a) the "Blue and Black AMOLED" , b) the "Weyo" , but both of them use light blue bars.
Here is what these themes looks like ( on the left ) and what i want to find ( on the right ) :
Have i missed a black theme with such tone of blue ?
Does any developer here , intend to make a simple theme like this ?

As for the specific theme that you made :
a) I like a lot the notification panel with the blue tone that you put!
b) I like a lot the dialer !
but
c) In the settings i would prefer simple white icons exactly as in the example i gave.
I know that i can ask a developer to make a theme exactly as i want but i think that a lot of users that use for example the "Blue and Black AMOLED" theme would prefer exactly the same theme but with deeper blue bars instead of light blue bars ( such contrast is not good for the eyes ).
ok but how do i get around the issue of it turning off after so much time or are you using the disable method for it?

All are great except 2 things :
a) The blue tone for the letters must be a bit lighter in order to be more easy to read them.
b) It would be nice if the blue separators became almost black ( very dark grey )

This theme is great! t is nearly exactly what I want.
Could you do a couple tweaks? Change the keys to black on keyboard, and make the incall Ui also black and blue themed?

its not possible to change the incall background from white ( or a least i cannot find where its done ) I have changed the keyboard for you though
