Wallpapers that we like!

What is your favourite wallpaper? I've had varying experiences with wallpapers I've used on the Hero, some look good some don't.
What wallpapers do you use both for the lock screen and the home screen? This is my current lock screen wallpaper:
And my homepage wallpaper is from Vista:
Maybe we could all post/share images of our wallpapers which we think work rather well? I've also found that a plain black background looks pretty good on the homescreen too.

What resolution are we actually supposed to be using for our wallpapers? Am I right in thinking its 620 x 480?
I know the screen res is only 320 x 480, but theres 7 parts to this screen, heard a roumer that they had 50px moved when sliding from one side to the other (150px on normal android)

Just found out its 640 x 480, close

You can use any size image, when you choose a wallpaper you are presented with a box which you can change the dimensions of to have it scaled correctly. The actual aspect ratio would have to be equivalent to 640*480 to avoid having to crop part of it though.

It's a clear FlexiShield. Got it off eBay for around $12AUD. There are other colours available too - black, pink, blue, purple.

Ive got that clear flexi shield too.. very good bit of cheap kit

Hello guys! U may try the application from market called "wallpapers" made by Mabilo android team. U can find there a lot of categories of wallpapers and u can download and save in to your phone if u desire.

I can't wait to get my hero on the 11th....can't we use the g1 wallpapers..?

Here's my lock screen (default size 1920x1200):
I needed to choose a dark background due to the default white font from Drizzy's lock screen.

Wallpaper Size?

I am trying to create a wall paper for my wife's g tab and whatever resolution I try it turns out looking bad anyone know the size I need to make this look nice?

i'm really interested in this, i have downloaded tons of wallpapers but they just don't fit right so they get stretched out....
i hope someone replies!

From the ArchosFan forums, for the Archos 101 which has a 1024x600 screen much like ours on the G Tablet, the answer is apparently something like 1200x1024 (see this thread: http://forum.archosfans.com/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=42137). Not sure if those dimensions will work, but I'd give that a try as a starting point and see how it works with scrolling, in portrait and landscape mode, etc.

HD Anime Wallpapers

Here is a collection of HD wallpapers I've made for the Xoom. They are sized appropriately to fit the Xoom's wonderfully large screen =) I take no credit for the images themselves, just sizing, and finding @[email protected]
I do however take credit for 2 of the 3rd Birthday walls, I actually did make those.
These images are SUPER high quality, and I hope you like them! I'll try to update the pack as often as I can.
Note: Some of these may be slightly explicit, nothing over the top, and NO nudity =b

Yea, I noticed a bit of them are slightly explicit...I am guessing those are from hentais lol. Anyway, good work on resizing to fit good.

actually no, nothing is from Hentai. the two groups that are the most explicit are the Ikkitousen ones and the Ladies Vs. Butlers.

My bad, I suppose I just see things in a different way lol, as I only looked at your photo with all the pics BC I'm not sure if I am able to download files on my Xoom so I will have to wait

Thanks for the wallpaper, i'm always on the lookout for high quality wallpapers and i'm both a gamer and an otaku.

These will go great with my "just pictures" live wallpaper. If you're like me and don't want to choose just one image or don't feel like changing it manually, I'm using the app Just Pictures which also comes with a live wallpaper function. It works just like how windows 7 will cycle through wallpapers.

[Screensavers] Show off your Nook Touch ScreenSavers

I haven't seen a lot of good Screensaver sets out there for the nook touch, most don't even properly fit the screen, and I don't care for the two that come with it. I'd like to have this thread be a place where people can post theirs and get lots of awesome ones. The only rule I can think of is all pictures should be .jpg and have to be at 600x800 res.
Installing screensavers is as easy as follows:
Plug nook into computer via usb.
In the internal flash storage go into a folder call screensavers.
Make a new folder in here. Note: the name of the folder will also be the name of the screensaver/set.
Whatever pictures you put in the new folder will be added to that screensaver/set.
I'll start off with a clean version from one of my favorite mangas Elfen Lied! If you would like the non-clean (just 5 extra pictures) pm me.

I gathered a bunch on high resolution personal photos (family, pets, vacations), opened them in gimp, cropped them so that they were the correct ratio than scaled them down to 800x600. Lastly i converted them to grayscale. Some were landscape, some were portrait. If they were landscape i had to rotate them clockwise. The hardest part was trying to get the right ratio without cutting too much out.
They fill the whole screen and look great!

This sounds stupid, but I'm still looking for other "dead author" pics of famous people... even living authors. I know that the B&N brick and mortar store has one of Stephen King that looks pretty cool. I think that style of portrait is pretty neat. Maybe someone can come up with a Photoshop filter or something to do that...

Anyone want to pack the kindle ones up into screensaver sets(as their already black and white)? And I know someones got to have made their own that they want to show off! Like ones' of their favorite authors or the covers of their favorite books? Drizzit anyone?

Pair of Nook Simple Touch Screensavers
Bought my Mom a Simple Touch for Xmas; she likes flowers so I put together a 5-picture flower screensaver for her that includes the "press Nook button" graphic on the bottom. Also, made a light & dark version of the B&N Nook logos for screensavers. Hope somebody can use them.

I'm not really into all that screensavers, cause i dont let my nook rest xD
i like ukiyo-e pictures cause they tend to have high contrast
also check my current desktop, unfortunately my screenshot app takes screens in color ;D

please stick that whole thing over a4 size paper and post a scanned image using an actual scanner, iam making my own wrap with a cool image vector so i need dimensions for cutouts n stuff. I will upload my creation as well as the cdr file for others to create their own too so that others just have to replace the image n done without going through all the pain.:good:
