hello,
i used the MDA II for a while, so i got many accessories for it. One of them is the car charger which connects my gps and my pocket pc with the power of my car. Since i sold my mda, and bought a hp 4155, i was wondering wether i have to buy a new car charger, or can i use the same. I tried to get it into my ipaq, and it fits. But i'm affraid to put it in the power to ruine my device or its battery.
So, what's your advice?
thanks guys!
don't use it - it fits but pin connectors are wrong so you kill your motherboard
Today my genuine HTC Advantage Docking Station CR B140 arrived. I bought it from a german dealer and it was a steal for only 22.99€ (+4.99€ S/H), compared to the MSRP of 99.99€ that Expansys demands ($99.99 in the U.S.)
What was strange, though, the station arrived in a simple bubble wrap, no other packaging, no manual, nothing else. OK, for 77% off I really don't care, maybe these are some surplus or end-of-line clearance parts. In any case, the station is brandnew, completely unused and working. So if you would like to steal one, too, have a go at:

Sorry, their website mentions only Germany, Austria and Switzerland as destinations. However, they accept Paypal, and maybe they will ship worldwide, if you ask kindly.
Disclaimer: except for being a customer, I am not connected to phonetec24 in any other way!
for real? or spam?
Is this for real? Anybody have an idea?
Ciao!

Yes guys sorry for not posting it. I have already mailed them and asked them if they can post the station to greece and their response was negative. very disapointing.
I'm planning to buy one for my advantage
I'm interested in the "2 x female usb port". Can it support USB flash drives? Coz I really need to find a way to connect USB flash drives to my phone. And another thing, does the dock have to be connected to the power outlet all the time? or is it recheargable? thanks
Hello ,
Is possible with the X7500 on the cradle to connect the audio line out ?
I see a lot of connections (AV , usb , VGA) but no audio line out ?
Because if you connect to a videoprojector via the cradle , how do you connect the audio output ?
Thanks ,
JF
@Jeff72fr:
The docking station offers the following connections:
- A/V interface: VGA port (15pin), video out port, S-video port (4 Pin), 3.5mm audio jack
- Charging & syncing interface: miniUSB port for power charging and synchronisation, 2 x USB standard A female ports (USB host), 2nd battery charging slot
- LED indicators: power, sync, 2nd batt charging
@santi_g:
I must admit, I haven't used any usb devices yet on my athena, I don't even know how to use them ;-) Simply plugging in some usb stick does not work for me, the stick's light stays off, and file explorer doesn't show it. I probably need some driver for it.
You probably overrate the function of a docking station, it's just a simple box offering easier access to the connectors, and a convenient place to charge the device. So not having the docking station plugged in is of no big use, and therefore there is nothing to recharge the docking station -- only the device's batteries (internal and spare).
I have used up to 16G Flash Drive using my ebay acquired docking station. Though it comes out only if I use resco file explorer. There was even a time when I used my flash drive with a usb mouse through an octopus usb port.

Thanks a lot for your your reply.
I use my X7500 at home to listen to internet radios.It easier to have the docking station connected to my Hifi system.I just have to plug in the X7500 on the craddle without always connect and disconnect the electricity plug and the audio line.
Unfortunately I'm french so they can't send it to me.
I have a friend who's working in switzerland and and will try with him.

I googled and found this: http://www.mytrendyphone.com/shop/htc-cr-b140-docking-14003p.html&togglevat=1&VariantIdSelected=0
They seem to ship everywhere and have reasonable pricing as well.
does anyone had a chance to buy this dock and figure out whether it is original, i.e identical as compared to what HTC offers or not
I have one like that
I have one and it is exactly the same as posted before.
It works really well But it is a little tricky to place the Athena in it. I'll get used to it.
reason I am asking is that is going to be my next buy ..... therefore knowing whether it is (looking and working like) oryginal is crucial as there are many different ameo docks with partial funcionality (as compared to the original one) available
the thing is I have been querying about dock from that german location / shop
I bought an original HTC docking station for my X7510 at expansys without any problem : it is 30€ right now !

Thank you for that link! I just ordered from them, unfortunately they don't ship to ALL countries, so I had it sent to relatives in the States who are visiting soon, but the price, including shipping, was less than GBP25. Definitely less than the $80 most places are asking.
And of course the usual disclaimers: I don't work for them etc.,.
Hi, anyone know the voltage and current setting for the different chargers from htc? (norwegian models)
i recently bought a cc c100 since i have an old qtek, a bluetooth hs and a touch dual.
BUT i recently got me a hd2 ( must say it's a great phone ) -

Hi all,
I own a PX5 head unit (MX - Witson). Witson uses model number W2-V5535B for this model. It came with Android 8 (Oreo).
I am wondering if anybody knows what the max. current is that the two USB ports can supply. I want to connect a device that uses approximately 700mA at 5V (measured).
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Joris

Specification for USB is 500mA. You may get away with 700mA - but I have seen USB ports damaged by long term excessive amperage (HDDs). I would suggest a Y cable with a 5v transformer to feed power to the device just to be safe.
Hmm, okay. It’s a device (dash cam) that just needs power, no data.
I’ll see if I can hardwire it using an add-a-fuse approach. Thank for your reply!
Hy everyone! I have a weird problem: my Samsung S10 won't charge from my (new) Anker powerbank, although:
-the charging worked fine, but just once;
-the Anker powerbank CAN charge other phones;
-my S10 CAN charge from another powerbank (noname);
-I tried different cables, all the ports, same result;
-I cleared the USB cache from settings, but no result
-tried to reset the powerbank, same result.
Is there any way that I can still use my powerbank to charge my S10? What is causing this? Thank you!
It might be de to a specific protocol on the port? For example, USBC-PD is a protocol for power delivery that the receiving device must support... I don't think the S10 supports PD.
What's the model of the Anker charger?

Hy! The model is Anker Powercore III, 20 000 mAh. The weird thing is that yesterday it worked just fine. And I did not install any new apps (or updates) on the phone since then.
Ok, are you using the USB-A port for charging the S10, or are you trying to use the USBC port? USBA would work on the phone, C would likely not work.
Also, on some of my older phones, when a device was connected, the USB port would generate a popup asking how to handle the device... you may need to tell it to use it as a charge-only (versus a data connection like MTP or something)... it should know better, but maybe the phone is confused in some way.
