Just got this tablet today and I'm wondering if it's just me or do apps/the app store not recognise the tab S2 as a tablet?
What I mean by this is when I turn the screen landscape apps that are tablet compatible don't go into the 2 column layout e.g Twitter
Any feedback is appreciated.

I just purchased a used SCH-I800 (wi-fi only) 7" (non plus) tab. It is being installed as a car pc and it was noticed that the action bar (stock on the frame of the tab) will not be able to be accessed once it is mounted in the dash. I noticed that all the other galaxy tabs have an on screen action bar, but have not seen this on this model. Can I ad this action bar either through internal setting that is already there, market app, or root to a rom that has this built in. The tab is of course being mounted in landscape mode. Any help and suggestions appreciated.
Hello,
I will edit the first post after you post ideas
- connect to your Samsung Apps account
- connect to your Google account
- activate fingerprint lock
- activate PayPal (how?)
- activate Google Wallet
"- set SMS app to Google Hangouts or to the Samsung SMS app
"
- root the S5
- put your ringtones mp3 in the ringtone folder
- is it possible to remove the sound when a picture is taken?
maybe with Camera ZoomFX
- turn off the time zone automatically detected
- Set the brightness to auto or maximum
- activate power saving mode
turn on light all the time on the 2 "return" and "multi-task" buttons
set up Google Now
Configure Data Usage
Enable Lock Screen Widgets
Go into your main system settings, then to Security. Near the top is a checkbox for "Enable widgets."
APPS
- install Cerberus anti-theft App
- install Light Flow lite app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rageconsulting.android.lightflowlite
- tweak Gmail notifications
BUY
- buy an extra battery
(where?)
- buy a case or a cover
- buy microSD
I plan on rooting the device and running Nova launcher. Hopefully I can get FoxFi to run after the device has been rooted.
I purchased a couple 16GB SD cards last week while they were on sale.
I also purchased this case as seen in the picture below.

Hi All,
I have a Fire 7 which i am using solely for a media and smart home remote. I specifically chose this device as it is cheap and had the alexa built into the home button.
I have made some changes to the device but not rooted it as don't want to completely loose some of the amazon features i.e. home button press for alexa.
I have installed play store and hijack launcher and have nova launcher installed. I find that some some widgets work and some don't. I am struggling with IFTTT widget and beautiful widgets at the mo. basically i install them either via the app store or an .apk and when click on the widget and try to place it on the homescreen it throws up the tablet settings menu, if i exit this it does not add the widget? can anyone advise why this is or if it can be solved. If i add a RM pluggin tasker widget it lets me and allows me to setup the button but but for the other two it doesn't?
any help appreciated.
regards jon

I have one further question and I am not sure what i have changed to cause this. The screen never goes to sleep just remains permanently on.
if i go to settings, display, i have a setting called display sleep mode which you can set but this only dims the screen and does not turn it off? an suggestions?
So I've searched through XDA & no one mentioned that Samsung release an official app to allow a workaround for Android 10 gestures with a third party launcher.
"One Handed Operation +"
Available in the Play & Galaxy stores for free & works flawlessly, with a lot of customization to where you want it located, which side of the screen you want to use it on, wdith & length to register touch, etc. I'm currently using Nova Launcher with Prime purchase & it works exactly as intended! Check it out!!
Testing... I'll keep you updated
UPDATE: navigation bar will show anyway so for me a no go
Hey guys. I have a Galaxy Tab S4 running OneUI on Pie. Rooted. Stock ROM. Samsung has an ability to launch apps in split screen and Pop up windows from recent apps switcher.. I was wondering if it would be possible to use tasker to create a shortcut to open app in pop up view.
Eg. Whenever tab is in landscape orientation, I could press on instagram icon and it would open in a pop up window rather than in portrait mode (I dont5wan5 to force landscape back it looks bad)
Thanks
