I am a noob and I have a Xperia™ SP (C5302). I recently rooted my device running firmware 12.1.A.1.205, install CWM Recovery and Unlocked it's bootloader. I ported various roms and enjoyed them all .
Came back to stock rom though because none beats the original
Anyways, I found that it had option for LTE (4G) (Custom Roms). I switched to LTE mode and to my surprise I was receiving signal on that mode too.
I know that hardware of C5302 doesn't support LTE. If this is not possible then how my phone was getting signal and I surfed Internet too!.
Calls were also possible. I live in India and only Airtel here provides LTE Service and I posses a Airtel sim.
So just curious that is it possible to run LTE on my C5302..?
If you guys want any screenshot then please do tell me because I don't know where to start with
Please kill my curiosity
And please also suggest me good boot animations for the device.

where do u live and how it is possible
can u help me to get 4g on my xperia sp C5302
It was probably working on 3G, switching to a Custom ROM won't make a phone magically grow an LTE antenna lol

Dial *#*#7378423#*#* and check if that LTE is supported by your C5302. C5302 board also comes in various band frequencies. My shows I can run 4g ad heck yes I did use 4G
C5302 lacks the support of the LTE frequencies.. It is just impossible for you to have 4G on your C5302 and no matter what it wont work..

You might think it works, but I'm 100% sure it doesn't!
If it did work, why call it a C5302 instead of C5303? Maybe one of those lucky cases?

HI ,
I did what u asked to do.-->> Dial *#*#7378423#*#*
--->> Went to ServiceTests --->> and checked Radio Anteena --->> it had three option , WCDMA,CDMA -HR and "LTE"
Does that mean that my xperia will also support 4G? Currently i do not have a 4G sim inserted yet.
Note : Am still on the factory 4.1 version and have not updated yet
Is there a way for us mi3 users to network unlock our phone? So that we can use other sim?

Aren't they network unlocked by default? I bought a Chinese MI3 and it works perfectly here with my SIM in Chile.
the phone IS unlocked to accept any networks.

Is it the unlocked version or a carrier version? If carrier, which one?
If it is the unlocked version then it should work with whatever SIM card you put into it.
