Did you try a factory reset?
Go to Settings>Backup and Restore> Factory Reset.
This should wipe everything and reset it to new. You will loose all your data.
Sent from my SM-N920C using XDA-Developers mobile app
This seems like a fake device.

sorry, but i think Battlehero may be right, your device is not an original note 5, it is probably a fake chinese device.

Hi everyone,
at a bit of a loss here . Bought a galaxy s i9000 which someone had had issues when trying to upgrade firmware- managed to recover it , but it has serial number issues ( 004990 etc ) strange thing is phone shows as unlocked but only works on vodafone and virgin which it does fine . When another sim card is used it shows network name but out of service - could it be the imei is being blocked or any other ideas - I am on T mobile so as it stands allthough it works it is not much use to me ,
thanks in advance .

Its possible, since you are using a fake IMEI and different networks have different policies, , you could try fixing your EFS, to get back your IMEI, solution on EFS, Click MY Android Collection Link below
thanks for the reply - I can see txt in folder showing correct imei but it displays "fake" one - think this maybe getting a bit heavy for me - can this be repaired at all
cheers
Flash gingerbread through ODIN
Hey I had an issue like that when my friend failed at flashing his phone and doing an odin flash to gingerbread solved it for me with re-partition selected
Phone has gone back under warranty so hopefully all is cool - if not I will try the repartition.
cheers
Hello,
I've got a Samsung Galaxy Ace bought
from Phones 4 u about a year ago. It
came with Android 2.3.3 out of the box
and has been fine. I'm using an O2 Sim
Card (phone was bought on O2 PAYG) but
appears to be a generic unlocked phone
(XEU). Details are:
PDA: S5830XWKPY
PHONE: S5830XWKPA
CSC: S5830XEUKP1
I'd been interested lately that a lot of my
friends have got the 2.3.6 upgrade
through Kies, but mine is still waiting -
KIES reports 2.3.3 is the latest for my
phone and an OTA check on the phone
itself says there is no update available. I
investigated further and have found the
following error message displayed on the
Android Recovery screen <3e> (note this
phone has NEVER been flashed or rooted)
-- Appling Multi-CSC --
Can't access to '/system/csc/XEU/
system'.
I'm pretty IT literate and phone savvy but
have no idea what this message means
and wondered if it could be the cause of
me not getting updates. I checked my
wife's Galaxy Y and she does not have
this error message.
Should a phone bought from a store be
showing this message (phone was brand
new and had all the original cellophane
and screen covers intact) Should I take it
back to the store, or try a factory/reset
wipe, or try flashing via ODIN?
Any advice appreciated

Wrong thread buddy. This is Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 Q/A. You can ask this at your device thread's Q/A section. Here is the link,
Galaxy Y Q/A
Hope I Helped
Hello guys,
first info of my device:
Model number: GT-N7000
Android: 4.1.2
Baseband version: n7000xxlt3
kernel version: 3.0.31-1103517
[email protected]#3
build number: ultimate n7000 xxlt4 jellybean 4.1.2 v6
rom : ultimate xxlt4 rom (c) igeekhd.com
so, all of the sudden it stopped calling, my sim is working fine on all other smartphones and no other sim is working on this one.
Normally everytime i restarted my phone, i had to give Sim Pin Code but now its not asking me for it, i dont even have to swipe
to unlock it, there is no security at all, when i restart it shows my a yellow triangle.
I installed philz CVM and then i flashed ultimate n7000 xxlt4 jellybean 4.1.2 v6, still i cant make a call.
With every restart it shows a yellow triangle on screen.
obviously phone is rooted.
i have tried alot of things nothing helped, any idea what could it be? why it keeps on telling me not registered on network whenever i try to make a call?
btw i can see my imei its,004999010640000 / 01 when i give *#06#
but imei written behind my smartphone is 359548.... so it is showing me wrong imei for some reason?
thanks to all of you in advance who are willing to help.
regards
Guess there is no efs backup available or?
If yes, restore and try again...
Old problem after IMEI changed to the so called developer IMEI.
One workaround: remove pin from sim card. Then the Note should recognize it.
Second workaround (I am using this since the XXLSA leak I got): use the android.policy.jar from this old leak.
Not only the sim is working but also the locks.
(Will upload this later or on sunday, right now I try to spend my last hours in our holiday in Thailand)
@User_99 efs backup? how do i find it and how do i restore it?
@ThaiDai auch aus Deutschland?
it would be great help if you can give me the files i need to get my SP working again.
I still dont undetstand why i get that yellow triangle right when its booting the phone?
Normally before you do anything with your device make a backup with tools like efs backup or some recovery versions like TWRP.

This has been driving me crazy on MANY threads here on xda. Correct me if i'm wrong but ANY 2015 model of the j7 will have the number 700 in the model number (sm-j700p, sm-j700t, etc.). ANY 2016 model will have the number 710 in the model number (sm-710f, sm-710m, etc.). the op states that this thread is strictly for the j700t1, while also stating not to try this on ur 2015 model or you will hard brick ur phone. What am I missing here ppl? the j700t1 is a 2015 model isn't it? Someone please fill me in. thanks in advance

I have a J700T that I purchased in 2016. This sort of information is spread out across so many things that I don't know if I can re-flash this firmware. Any ideas?
will this fix
im unable to get into my old phone using my account and password ??? it would say multiple times to enter the previously sync account? but still cant get into the screen setup??? please help... will this help???
disregard... all set
I have a question, dont really know where to ask. I have the tmobile j700t, and I've tried restoring with odin, (with the j700t firmware of course) and im not sure if its doing everything. Everything seems to go fine in odin, flashes boot, modem, system etc. reboots, rebuilds cache, then it just goes to my original lock screen with my custom wallpaper and all my apps still on. I can do a factory reset after, but it doesnt seem to do anything but clear the cache. Am I missing something? I enables OEM UNLOCK and USB debugging before hand.

When restoring with odin, it doesn't usually wipe the phone. Just replaces the firmware (which is the broad answer)
Flashing stock firmware over your rooted stock will remove root and usually nothing else.

I can't find the latest version anywhere? Can you link me? I can only find the latest T-Mobile variant.
I need help :/
I forgot that Snapchat doesn't work on rooted phones, so I had to once again flash back to stock.
The .tar file I used is the latest firmware according to smart switch, but I'm having issues I never had flashing back to stock with this phone.
My Video Calling is not working at all and I used it a LOT prior to this reflash. Used on both rooted and unrooted firmware.
As soon as I go to make the video call, it automatically beeps and says call ended.
I need a fix pleaaaaase.
Also, does anyone happen to know how to do the work around to have root AND snapchat working? I couldn't figure it out at all.
I cant put on a new topic yet, so I'll add this here because this is a thread about stock rom. (If it is useful, you can add it in the main post, whatever, idc)
This is stock rom for J700t1 MetroPCS (J700T1TMK2APK6_CL9815749_QB11667268_REV00) im uploading this for You because it was hard for me to find and get these files.
This is a ROM consisting of 4 files to use in odin (BL, AP, CP, CSC)
its on mediafire site -> /file/92nluibqr3u7nqr/J700T1TMK2APK6_CL9815749_QB11667268_REV00.zip

Hey guys,
since i went to rome last week i got the "not registered on network" error. Here are some details about my phone:
model: SM-G800F
android: 6.0.1
rooted? yes! i rooted the phone yesterday to follow some guides to repair it. didn't work
baseband: g800FXXU1CPL1
kernel: 3.4.39-8954887
build: MMB29K.G800FXXU1CPL1
warranty? expired early 2017
It's my first android phone, so i got really low skills with repairing it.
What I already did:
test another sim in the S5 Mini
test the sim from the S5 Mini in another phone
facotry reset
Tried to do a manual OTA Update: I always get the error that there is a network or server error
smart switch emergency recovery: doesnt't recognize my phone
flash 6.0.1 without repart via ODIN
coincidentally i saw that the IMEI in the phone (*#06#) differs from the one behind the battery :/ I think this could be the error, but i don't know how to fix it.
Thanks in advance for your help
That wrong IMEI even remains after i deleted the EFS Folder oO
Not registered on network imei issue
Hi There,
Did you ever get a fix for this issue as I have exactly the same problem, my SM-G800F IMEI now also shows as - IMEI 350695200123951-01 which is for a blacklisted NOKIA 6310. If anyone can supply an absolute beginners guide for me as to how I can get my original Imei back that would be fantastic.
I am just a user of an android phone and have zilch experience of tinkering with them.
I have seen reference to things like Odin and flashing firmware and am quite happy to give it a go myself and learn
I will post this on a few other threads that list the same issue as I am desperate to get this fixed now as is a waste of a perfectly good phone !!
Cheers.
